Nope...
Originally posted by 23ispolo:Sorry, I'm not sure... I got this info from the newspaper. Well, I guess that there are not many complaints by passengers on 169 and LTA feels that SMRT is managing it (and 169A) well, so they haven't included it in yet... However, who knows they might just put it in too in the next round of services under BSRF?
then 853?
...
if 853 is in why not 882 and 84?

Bro, he's just guessing...he isn't LTA..
All, news that Punggol west LRT (3 stations only) have got to the media. Officially open on 29 June 2014. Hip hip hooray!
Ah, only bus info more relevant in tis thread...

Maybe he can put OT in front... I guess enhancements to the LRT in Punggol (opening of three stations after such a long time finally) are considered the same as new bus routes or extensions, since both buses and trains/LRT make up our public transport system...

This is not BSEP in the first place. But it would be more relevent if it's posted in the Press Releases topic. Anyway thanks for the info. I do think we need some MRT & LRT info here as well because it's still somehow related to buses and public transport.

Hi mr array88, you may be right but this one gives you a very strong indication that new bus services serving the LRT routes will come very soon. There are many others who post irrelevant stuff inside various topics. Mine is definitely not totally irrelevant. With this LRT, next will be the TPE bus stops. Hip hip hooray!!!

SBS Transit = 51, 154, 292 and 354
SMRT = 189, 853 and 962
Everyone's wish for 51 has come true! I don't understand why 292, 354 and 853 are getting this though...
For Sv 292 & 354, I can only say that it's quite clear that SBST (or LTA for that matter) is trying to cash in on the BSRF scheme and rely on these 2 svcs to hit the quota for telling the media that "BSRF for the new bunch of svcs is working well".
Because from what I can tell, these two services have almost no problems meeting the BSRF guidelines. Heck, for Sv 354, there's even an excess of buses for that short route.
So the only reason why I can think of that Sv 292 & 354 are included...is that they are just as "safeguard measures" for SBST to hit the BSRF guidelines in case Sv 51 & 154's BSRF rollout gets screwed up big-time (we know how jialat Sv 51 & 154's freq can get at times..)
You guys are reading too much into the matter.
Is it not abundantly clear that BSRF is the way to go with the govt contracting model?
Its like how all the threads around here talk about guessing which services will be WAB, guessing which services will kena BSEP, which buses will get what....
With standardisation being the way forward (been repeating to no avail), then these hobbies of yours may as well die off, with all these kind of speculations.
Seriously.
5 should be included in BSRF.
Realised that recently 90% of the time the bus takes >20 mins to arrive, with one less than 5 minutes behind!!
Disappointed... this service does not deserve this type of freq

Then, I bet 24, 27, 30, 53, 143 and many more services will get this BSRF soon, if people want all their services to improve...

Not I favour 5...
Seriously you go see that wretched service
I'd try to avoid it if I could but I couldn't sometimes...
27 etc. still better as they won't have you wait 30 minutes for two consecutive buses...
Do you think it would do 5 good if that service is split into two? Coz I do find that service excessively long...

It's normal to see these long winding routes, like 61, 67, 70 and 858 (Woodlands area), so I don't see how 5 is worse off than these services...
I think service 402 might be up for next phase of BSRF

Which 3 stations do you know? Only one-direction or both?

PW5-7...
I think trains turn back at Nibong...

I exactly thought the same. 51 will never meet the BSRF while 292/354 will. The selection is totally random.

That is a problem with many of the services - the two services that need to split into two on priority is 51 and 61.

858 already under BSRF...
67 not as often... I know coz I can barely recall having to wait up to 20 mins at Bedok Stn to Tampines...
5 may need a split... it plies the city, the expressway, the countryside, and the industrial area all in one go... definitely will have issues...
Something needs to be done... this service itself is okay, only that many pax have to wait too long for a bus, even during peak...

So both directions?

This happens 90% of the time... other services also won't so often...

67 needs to be split more than 5. Also easier to split 67. sv 5 very difficult to split because if you see there are lot of long distance travelers on this service who will get upset. What is your proposal for sv 5 split?

Probably...
Otherwise will be like Sengkang West LRT years ago...
