You will see that many people board at Jalan Besar to take sv 23 and many people alight at stops like Brodway on Little India stretch. This is around 30-40 pax... which is quite meaningful and will be disturbed with any re-routing of sv 23.
But there is also need for one more service to go Orchard and loop @ Tomlinson, hence the suggestion for sv 68.

51 doing okay.. Who said?

Is that why 23 cannot go to NBR and provide the broken links lost when 81 & 103 were amended to terminate @ SER?
Maybe... Also you have Sv 147 from MOM in parallel to Sv 23 that takes you to NBR.

Well, nobody suggested splitting route 51 yet. Don't forget the current route is due to its absorption of the old route 192 that plied between Jurong and South Canal.
Please go back and read my post. I have reiterated again and again that 2 services need to be split on priority: 51 and 61.
51 can be split into 2 services
61 can be shortened to NBR Terminal or Harboufront Interchange (no need to split into 2 services)

Yeah, but there is one bus stop on Neil Rd that has been empty since 103 stopped going there. Also, 81 plied Middle Rd as well.
Ok, but every area of Singapore cannot be connected by a direct bus service. Middle road in itself has close proximity to Bugis, Bencoolen and Selgie stops.

What kind of service improvement?
Possible for svc 20 to get DDs?

Sure... But does the loading justify yet?

Last time I saw a svc 20 bus turning from Upper Changi Rd East to Simei Rd during PM peak. Fully packed to the door. However I'm not sure what the loading is like during other times of the day, and furthermore loading between Simei and Tampines is poor (even less than svc 38).

Definitely not.
It deserves fleet add though.
From an untrusted source on FB, Sv 20 will be getting DDs. But im not sure whether it's true anot.
113's ett changed w.e.f 30/06/2014. It coincidentally lies on a Monday, which is next week.

Hope so. Just saw 2 training DDs along Lorong Ah Soo. The BCs who were training are frequent drivers on 113. But i dont carry much hope since i had a false alarm once. The timings on the ETT are adjusted
Too much spare DDs..

Could also be the much needed fleet add for 113A.

I think am load towards business park can be quite huge. Hence 2-3 DDs could be good. After am peak, bus does not need DDs. So if plied, should only do S shift. Loading from Tampines to Simei is around 35-40 pax. The one for Sv 38 is lesser according to me.
Originally posted by carbikebus:20 off peak loadings is so pathetic..Am and Pm peak could easily reach 70 pax at certain timings..Probably 2 DDs is more than enough.45 current fleets is already great..put more DDs sure many buses empty
Yes, would be good to start with 2 DDs for sv 20. also need to convert more SD slots to DD for sv 21. It's been high time now. Sv 22/28/59 all got their share, but sv 21 has not. Agree with you, 45 should stay how it is for now... not a priority anymore. 43 can still get 1-2 DDs though (SD --> DD)
