Actually cant it go forward and backwards? Instead of wasting more money to make a temporary u-turn track.

Trains should turn back at Nibong... They couldve easily added that small stretch if there are currently no turnback facilities. And the middle platform at PTC should've been used too! Making the West stretch a good shuttle service!
I can say it's kinda stupid to use the EAST/WEST lighting sign...what if there was fault? What if passenger just dash in w/o seeing the sign?
There can be a last minute change always...like for NSL, there's times where the both the train are scheduled on TV for Platform A. But it happened that one of it changes to Platform D(announced around CCK)...

Hi mr TIB429E, if passengers just dash in without seeing the sign, you have to blame the passengers. The operator cannot cover all angles fully. Cheers.

Can also...
But will take lots of signalling work.
Anyways looks like my thought wouldnt come true... The middle track can never be utilised under such circumstances.

Then what do you suggest...
I can't find fault with the lighting sign... Better than nth after all

Signalling work is better than spending thousands of dollars building a temporary u-turn track that will only be utilised for a few years soon the other stations will also be opened as well. Like this 1 LRT train would be sufficient to serve the three stations for now. There isnt any huge demand also, it's best to save resources. It would be 8 - 10 mins for the LRT to arrive

I'd suggest announcements in both eng and chi?
Like eg. The Train approaching platform A is serving the Sengkang West Loop.
列车往A平是务盛港西,宗站
Also SBST can install the TVs that we have in the Train Stations at STC station and SBST can programme it to be like
You are at : PLATFORM A
SENGKANG WEST LOOP
SW8 RENJONG
For your safety, please stand behind the yellow line.
You are at : PLATFORM B
SENGKANG WEST LOOP
SW1 CHENG LIM
For your safety, please stand behind the yellow line.
LTA thinks LRTs aren't wonderful.
Period.
Some of you can yadda yadda yadda, but its a fact.
There are new towns in the works and nobody said they have LRTs.

Not that much diff...
Still have chances of errors and people not looking...

That's Singaporean, it's considered(to them) a REASONABLE reason

Maybe when there's announcement in languages, passengers have nothing much to say..

"Train arriving. For your safety, please stand behind the yellow line, thank you. This train will be running on the WEST loop. (Other language, prob emphasise on the "WEST" loop part)

TV + Announcement + if possible have 2 different boarding point along the platform.
Since SBST LRT doesn't run 2-car for now, and the platform is designed for 4 doors max(if Im not wrong), East loop can stop towards the end of the platform. West loop can stop furthest to the end of the platform.. Of cus the platform must have some labels..

Hi mr TIB429E, if people really want to take the effort to know the direction, they will do so and avoid taking the wrong one. If people do not make any reasonable effort to do so, rest assured that they will take the effort to know for the second trip after ending up on the wrong one for first trip. This is simple human behaviour. You can have signs and hearing systems and all but nothing is gonna change if one simply just takes it for granted. Cheers.

Hi mr SBS2601D, what makes you think this way? They did not think LRTs are wonderful and also not wonderful too. Basically all these are dependent on $$$ which necessitated as investments. Yes there are new towns in the works but it also depends on the locations. Not all towns are equal and need LRT. Some may be near major roads and near current MRTs which may negate the need for LRT. Let's look on the bigger perspective in issues and do not just slam all of us here. Cheers.
Painful facts are just hard to swallow.
What is call big perspective?
Its called perspectives without facts?

Hi mr SBS2601D, nothing painful for me to swallow. I like both buses and LRTs and am okay with both. Let's say which new town they are building and do it have space to build an MRT to connect to 7 or 8 LRT stations to link up to MRT? It is not just by stating a few sentences and expect everybody to adhere to. Cheers.
Adhere to my words??
*thou shalt bow to me*
PTC centre platform juz need sme enginnering works...
I dare say it is a matter of time before reconfiguration is done, if you look at the tracks at Punggol LRT, all knows there is one spare in the centre... Juz like Woodlands MRT stn...
Can cut sv11 to 1 BSEP and 1 scheduled svc...
Ridership is sustainable w 2 buses at present schedules...
Originally posted by SBS 9631X:Is anyone having the same thought too that BNDEP / CGBP might be going to launch a new BSEP svc soon? Or maybe BSEP improvements to alot of svcs soon?
I'm quite surprised at the numbers of new BSEP Citaros & Wrights in BNDEP in the past few weeks. It's not that surprising if they're just normal new CItaros & Wrights, but these new ones are regged under the BSEP scheme eh. And it's not like those existing BSEP Wrights & Citaros with no perm svcs yet (3375A, 6359C, 6388T, 6413D etc) have disappeared from the SP fleet..
63M will need at least 4-5 BSEP buses.... Sv4/69 getting BSEP fleet add as well.. same go for Sv109 and there are some big changes this weekend as well.. Big surprise.....

Hi mr lemon1974, what are the big changes this weekend? Care to share? Thanks in advance.

May be 39 gets DDs .. just kidding!
The LRT is not a white elephant. If it was a white elephant, SBST would have withdrawn it as it is not economic to run a business that is not making money!
