861 Sembawang-Bukit Batok enough..I dont think theres enough space for SMRT svc there
I believe 860 extension might be reserved for future Canberra area. There are 100+ HDB building coming in Canberra. The ones closest to Canberra Link can have direct access to Canberra MRT stop. Those on the inner streets will need bus service to bring them to Northpoint, Yishun facilities like post, hospital and MRT.
On the other end the service will extend to Sembawang and as you suggested, should start from here and loop around Khatib.
There will also be need for another feeder service within Yishun town once HDB complexes around ave 1, st 51, ave 4 develop. Current services cannot be edited to cater to these demands. This new service should then take care of missing link of 860 between Ring Road and Yishun MRT.

Now it connects residential areas to educational institutes (Millenia Inst, BP Govt High, AJC, Nanyang Poly) and camps (Kranji / Mowbray, Mandai, Nee Soon).It's SMRT's fault for insistence on not adding trunk services to Yew Tee (compare SBST's efforts in western Toa Payoh and Sengkang), so this is also a reason why I choose SBS to operate this route, at least for now. To hell with the SMRT town-control in CCK, whatever it's called. It's LTA's era now. (There were quite some complaints in this thread as well)210 serves Braddell Rd / CTE, YCK MRT and Bt Batok Rd instead of Bishan Rd, AMK MRT and Bt Batok West Ave 2 to avoid unnecessary route repetition (especially with 50 / 138), to provide links previously less available, and to make the journey faster (hopefully; I'm not an expert on traffic flow around YCK / CTE).The length of the route may be a problem. Hence possible short trip 210M from Yio Chu Kang Int to Yew Tee.(Initially I wanted to designate the route to be 129, but turns out that one's kinda popular, so well ...anyway feeders only start from 220.)
Not encouraged as can be easily confused for pax... Even if feeders only start from 22_ the first digit still holds more significance.
Why not 144?

Why not 144?
Not that it really matters, the route number is a lot less important (unless you're a firm believer in feng shui or something), it just came randomly when I was finding a number between 59 and 410. You can number it anything between 1, 68, 108, 144, 150, etc, whatever.
I'm more concerned about the practicality (demand) of the route and how possible it will really be implemented.

2x/3x/4x = East area
10x = (Serangoon)
x9 = East/West area
160/170 are JB services, so if 150 is introduced it should be JB as well.
26 could ply Chai Chee St/Dr instead of New Upp Changi Rd. It currently follows 2's and 67's route from Geylang to Bedok. While it is currently their 'support' route, it could help give people in Chai Chee access to Kenbangan MRT.

It should ply in the opposite direction of 222. But I still prefer 854 to do the job instead.

I support your suggestion. It gives both the industrial workers as well as HDBs there a trunk service. We need more services to be modified to provide more direct access.
26 should enter Chai Chee in opposite direction of sv 222 in direction of Bedok and continue on 229's route directly to Bedok Interchange. This will further enhance its usability.

If you try to go from HBF to Bukit Merah, there is no direct route that goes straight up Henderson Road all the way to Bukit Merah, as 57 goes by Alexandra/Depot Road and 131 goes by Bukit Purmei Ave/Lower Delta Road, which are windy and waste time.
Cons:
> Too short, as it is a direct route which is less than 20km, something like 141...
Possible changes:

There could be a completely new route plying Yishun ave 8, but developments along ave 8 will be 2018+ only - so lot of time still.

This route will not get more than 15-20 pax in peak hours. Ask me why? You are connecting Lor 1 directly to CBD without going through any major housing areas. People from Lor 1 have EWL to CBD already.
The proposed route should either start from Eunos or Bedok to make it more effective.

While I am not sure how fast does 196 took to go from Marine Parade to Shenton Way, it already exist. Plus from Old Airport to Nicoll Highway, you have 10 and 16 already. If you ply via Stadium MRT, pax can just take from Stadium to Bayfront straight. From Old Airport to HBF, you got 30 already. This amend is to let it either ply Eunos Industrial or connect Eunos MRT to Joo Chiat first, then connect a direct route to Suntec (although we have Dakota MRT to Promenade/Esplanade MRT already). This is quite a hard route to justify IMO as it already have many alternatives to said areas at Eunos section already.

Still duplicates heavily with other services. Is there really a need for a service to Cbd/ Tehlok Blangah? Most sectors are covered by premium, 10, 196, 10e, 196e, 196a etc.
