180 was handed over from SBS to TIBS on 7 August 1983.

You are the one assuming things you don't know. Are you telling me that the Boon Lay - Bukit Panjang route of 180 is from SBS in the past? Too bad you are not that smart enough. I know that there is a service 180 handed over to TIBS from SBS, but that is not the same 180 we are talking right here. Get your facts clear!

Agreed. Serves as an alternative to 85, 965 which can get into jams, and especially the winding 85.
Suggestion for SBST BSEP 322, 316, 114 & 144.
Service 322 [Hougang St 21 <> Highland Rd].
Service 316 [Serangoon Int <> Clifton Vale].
Service 114 [Tampines Rd <> Jln Pelikat/Parry Ave].
Service 144 [Toa Payoh Int <> Pasir Ris Int].

Quite good routes, but I'm not sure if 114 is/will be sustainable...
Service 400 Extend from Bukit Merah to Gardens By The Bay
Bukit Merah Central
Henderson Road
Telok Blangah Road
Keppel Road
Resume Normal Route to Gardens By The Bay
pretty sure 322 wont succeed and will end up like 141 or 324

322 is okay... but to make it viable should do Philips ave and come back to Kovan via YCK road... just doing Highland Road does not make it viable.

Can combine 322 and 114. Of all these... 144 is most viable.

113 is reasonable as it takes almost the same distance 62 goes to lorong ah soo, then upper paya lebar while 112 can convert to townlink or juz split up in 2 svcs and terminate at hg st 21 fc .

I feel that 27M can be made to a full day service with slight adjustments. Can make them start from Hougang Ctrl and loop at Tampines Interchange.

I think it will be more appropriate for this route not to terminate at Punggol interchange due to lack of proper space. Since the route is not that long, it is wiser to loop at the unused bus stop outside Punggol interchange and go back yishun. Cheers.

Hi mr smb128B, sbs 85 route is definitely not winding. The whole journey is only 40 mins. It serves to bridge the gap between Punggol east and sengkang east and Rivervale drive/compassvale drive/sengkang east way/sengkang west way. The bus route needs to have some catchment area along its route to yishun. It basically fetches many sengkang residents to yishun and is one of the fastest and direct routes. For those along the way, it is a 15 to 20 min bus journey to khatib/yishun which is considered very good. What most people like about this bus 85 is it links sengkang east and sengkang west. Cheers.

I dont give two shits if it it's a good route coz it links here and there in the NE area etc. My point for you to answer is that it is a winding route which takes actually 60-75 mins to complete entire route! Not 40 as you have said. I really dont know where you got the 40 from... If its official data then sucks to you. It is of course winding compared to 965 transfer. Faster and more frequent. How contradicting: here you say not winding, there you say its good linking bridge and need to have catchment. Sorry, it is PRECISELY the reason it loops Sengkang that drives Punggol residents away! So all take 965. Looping or not, takes little common sense to figure out. Or do you not have any? I wonder!

Don't agree. If it has to loop, still should enter interchange.. unless we are saying the route will loop along Waterway or Punggol Drive and Punggol Field... then don't enter.. else ppl will find it most appropriate if it goes directly inside interchange to go quickly to NEL.
Also Punggol interchange can accommodate 1-2 more services.

Agreed... within Sengkang it is good... it works as a good intra-town service and for Sengkang residents to Yishun... but not for Punggol residents to Yishun.

There should be a standard numbering system for all services in SG. LTA should decide that.

Hi mr busanalyser, the unused bus stop along Punggol central is just outside the northeast line at Punggol. It is only less than 10 metres. No point to go inside interchange and come out of it. Cheers.
