  Well, I originally intended to make the route ply the whole stretch of Ulu Pandan Rd and Holland Rd...I had made the changes, the distance of Direction 1 won't be that long provided that it should be around 30-31km...

  It is quite attrocious that I have to wait for Svc 811 for almost close to 15 mins... Haish... I think ppl staying at Orchid Park Condo hv to wait for so long and ended up bunching started...

  I guess merging Service 811 was a mistake... My idea is to split the services up...

  Hi mr carbikebus, here are my views. No offence, ok?

  Bukit batok to sembawang: unlikely. Distance too far.

  chos Chu Kang: possible. Needed.

  bukit panjang: not possible to have another service going to orchard or even another service bypassing orchard. Currently have many options to orchard. A service looping at an MRT station like Clementi is welcome. 

  woodlands: unlikely. Jalan Kayu cannot absorb more services. Sbs 85 is the last. The road is too cramped and is wide enough only for 1 vehicle at a time.

  sembawang: yes to feeder service

  yishun: yes to JE, bypassing bukit batok on the way.

  True, this is never meant to be a svc Pasir Ris - Lor Ah Soo pax should take, and I also acknowledge the duplicates with 45. I currently can't find an appropriate terminating point after Kaki Bukit. Here is a temperory alternative

  Eunos Link, Airport Rd

  Mcphearson Rd, Upp Serangoon Rd

  Can either loop at Potong Pasir or terminate at Woodleigh MRT

  There are currently no services linking Potong Pasir MRT with Mcphearson Rd. It will be good if a service does that.

  Actually frankly speaking Hougang st 11 can be converted into a mini bus terminal then 113 can be extended to fernvale cres via lor ah soo, kovan,hougang ave 10, 8, upp serangoon rd, buangkok mrt. There's no way 113 can be extended to serangoon int cause there are still a significant no. of pax taking from hg st 11..

  Then 113's berth at hougang int can make space for new svcs eg. 328 to buangkok link?

  Yes would be good to have many more long distance routes... but from the trend you can see that LTA is just not interested.

  Sort of forgot about 58 until you mention it. When proposing this route, I am more focus on pax travelling short distance over pax travelling long distance, like multiple short feeders/trunk into 1 svc. Thanks for bringing that up though.

   

  No issues with any towns except Yishun so far. There are barely any incentives for routes to be diverted to Ring Rd, unless it is a northbound svc, and terminates near Khatib, reason being that it will get windy. Yishun have a lot of long-dist route, and majority of lond-dist routes travel straight from point A-B (maybe they turn a lot outside point A/B, but in point A/B, turns tend to be minimal)

  I think for Yishun, amendment of northbound services like 856,859, and maybe 860 are pulsable. Their runtime/distance cover are a lot shorter compared to most southbound svc. However, it does not means that southbound cannot cover Ring Rd as well. North svc can take areas like N2 and N4, while south svc can take areas like Yishun JC/Sec and Ave 4

  Just my 2 cent on your suggestion

  Good suggestion, provides many unique links, connecting residential areas like Yishun St 61/ Ring Rd and Springleaf/Springside/YCK Rd to MRT stns, Nee Soon Camp and Tagore industrial area. Great use of Yishun Ave 1 as a direct alternative link between Upp Thomson/ Sembawang Rd and Khatib/ Yishun. However, this may be better as a new, separate bus svc instead of an amendment to svc 852, which has significant demand during peak hrs between Yishun and Macritchie/ Bt Timah further down the route.

  Good suggestion, provides many unique links, connecting residential areas like Yishun St 61/ Ring Rd and Springleaf/Springside/YCK Rd to MRT stns, Nee Soon Camp and Tagore industrial area. Great use of Yishun Ave 1 as a direct alternative link between Upp Thomson/ Sembawang Rd and Khatib/ Yishun. However, this may be better as a new, separate bus svc instead of an amendment to svc 852, which has significant demand during peak hrs between Yishun and Macritchie/ Bt Timah further down the route.

  It is a good suggestion... but a huge amendment... While I support it, I highly doubt LTA is willing to make any such modifications to existing services.

  852's current route is hopeless. Either duplicating 851 or 74 or 157. Your suggestion gives a fresh route to 852.

  I do recall that SMRT applied to LTA a few times, without avail, to cut the 852 route between Yishun and YCK, such that it starts from AMDEP...    No idea why they still want to preserve this route section (if they do).
