Also Jurong East/West Ave 1 will have a cheaper and direct (but slower) link to city area besides 502.
I used to frequent on Svc 198 for joy rides and go to Bukit Merah Library. I see the current load of the route seems managable. With Svc 196 covering the stretch of Bukit Merah & Chinatown to get to Marina Centre area and Svc 195 serving Tiong Bahru residents,
Not visible for Svc 198 to terminate at Marina Centre Terminal. Just my opinion... :)
Suggestions:
SBST Trunk 114 (Hougang Ctrl Int. <> AMK Industrial Park [Loop])
SBST Feeder 221 (Bedok Int. <> Upper Changi Rd [Loop])
SBST Trunk 64 (Extension to Eunos Int.)
64 better stays at Sims Place,Would be better if either svc 11,141 or 175 extend to Sims Place

Hmm i agreed but better if 198 can extend to Joo Koon Int though it sound impossible to LTA standards..198 Joo Koon-Bukit Merah and Soon Lee can control majority duties
just want to say something on "route suggestions".
We have to be realistic that LTA:
-- will not make any changes to existing bus services (too cowardly and scared to do that) - so whether it is route cutting, diversion, bus stop skipping... i don't think it will happen
-- need to see more evidence from LTA that is is interested in long routes.. after last year's 972, no long route has been introduced... seems like only feeders and short haul services... not that I support it.. but just seems that way
-- in the 5 new services to be launched also... the way the description is mentioned.. seems like it is all feeder/short haul service for particular estate
With all this, do we still feel giving this long route suggestions makes any sense anymore?
We would never knew unless we got insider information my friend
Service 46
Eunos Int - Aljunied Cres [Loop]
https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=z05a1IeTloPk.ke8x9-1CKyLg
Marina needs a proper and bigger Terminal till Marina South Int is built..
Hoping for a feeder bus svc from SGN to Lorong ah soo (Loop) and can be managed by AMDEP using Sv 53's buses and a bus svc from Defu industrial estate to kovan

Hi mr TIB429E, smrt104E route is not fast enough to warrant an express fare. Need to skip all stops at clementi rd to warrant an express service. Cheers.
Is it possible if 8 and 65 switch routes at Mcpherson Rd and MRT? Noticed the Svc 8 pax are xfering buses to head further into Bedok Reservoir.
8
- Link TP to Mcpherson town
- Better access?? to Mcpherson MRT
- Got svc 90 to cover (to an extend)
65
- Mcpherson Rd pax can benefit from its near full-DD fleet
- Reduce duplicate with 66

BBT have 61 (duplicate) going to HBF. Dover is served by 166 (faster route to HBF).

Hmm I prefer keepng the Clementi Rd part..hahas! Will try again if gt time :) thanks

Hmm actually didn't notice the 61 part, but my intention was also to re-route 188 a little..
Service 285 (Clementi Bus Int - West Coast Drive/Way [Loop])
Sv 164 Boon Lay Int - Johor Bahru CIQ (Loop)
Freq : 15mins - 25mins.
Buses leaving Boon Lay Int after 2330hrs will terminate at Johor Bahru CIQ and will do overnight parking there.

Pros : Possible usage of DDs. Lessens load of 160/170 to MY. Will also lessen loads of Causeway Link Services. Faster connection to Johor Bahru due to smaller jams at 2nd link. Lessens load of 182/182M.
Cons : Jam at causeway. It's headway might be screwed up. Might be another disastrous service like 170.
Service 986 (Bukit Batok Int <-> Boon Lay Int) [? Buses]
Depot: BUDEP
Freq: AM Peak: 8-14mins
AM Off Peak: 11-16mins
PM Peak: 9-14mims
PM Off Peak: 13-17mins
Operation Hours: 0555hrs - 2325hrs
Route:

Boon Lay Way (towards WEST)
Jurong East Central
Jurong East Ave 1
Jurong Town Hall Road
Boon Lay Way
Jurong West St 64
Jurong West Central 3 (Boon Lay Int)
Purpose: Commuters can take 986 during peak hrs if they don't want to squeeze into the MRT, and can xfer to feeder buses at BNL or BBT, or MRT commuters can alight at BBT to take 986 if they stay at Jurong East Ave 1 etc.

Yes 198 loading is manageable. It is just super high between Jurong West Ave 1 and Boon Lay, but then there are several other options available if someone misses 198.
Route Suggestions:
SBS Transit BSEP 253 (Joo Koon Int <> Kian Teck Cresent)
- Creates closer connectivity for the workers to the new Joo Koon Int/Hub.
SBS Transit BSEP 263 (Ang Mo Kio Int <> Ang Mo Kio St 22/31/32)
- Creates link for people along St 22/31/32.
SBS Transit BSEP 264 (Ang Mo Kio Depot <> Ang Mo Kio St 41/42/43/44)
- Creates connectivity to Yio Chu Kang & Ang Mo Kio MRT stations.
- Brings students closer to Nanyang Polytechnic doorstep.
- Direct link to Yio Chu Kang Stadium.
SMRT BSEP 881 (Sembawang Int <> Admiralty MRT)
- Creates connectivity to the upcoming Woodlands South MRT station.
- Better connection to Sembawang & Admiralty MRT stations from Champions Way/ Wlands St 14/16/17.
SMRT BSEP 883 (Sembawang Int <> Yishun Central)
- Creates connectivity for Canberra Link, Yishun St 21/22 & Central/1/2.
- Direct link to Yishun Temporary Bus Interchange, Yishun SAFRA, Yishun Polyclinic & Khoo Teck Puat Hospital
- Expect shorter journey time to & fro:
> Yishun Ring Rd via Yishun Ave 5
> Yishun St 21 via Yishun Central

Like sv 221. Possible for such route to be introduced. Will help residents along st 2 and Tanah Merah Kechill... we can expect such a route
114 is good, but should be done with just diverting 116 on the route you have proposed, given 116 current route very redundant with 72.
64 no need extension.

Need service to Kian Teck Crescent definitely but I believe 253 needs to be introduced from Boon Lay instead...
There needs a rehaul of JIS services for those serving Tuas, Pioneer Sector and Gul to start from Joo Koon
while those to Kian Teck, Jurong Island, International Road, Jalan Buroh, Benoi to start from Boon Lay

Had proposed these 2 services earlier as well. Will be good to relieve load off 261... and 263 will be good as well.. door step service.
Though 264 does not need to start from depot, can just start from interchange.

Personally, I feel that the re-routing of bus route 189 and the introduction of bus route 201 is an indication that LTA is exploring the idea of re-drawing bus networks.
This may be a preview of the changes to bus networks in Tuas, Jurong Industrial Estate and Jurong West when the new Joo Koon Bus Interchange opens.
