All, route suggestions not equal to interchange/terminal. Mr ButIAmAToilet, please check out the topic before typing and start all this talk here. No offense. Getting messy! Cheers.
How is AC7 routing like?Maybe in future should they withdraw SMRT can take over and extend to Larkin?
113 Route Extension Hougang Central - Serangoon Int (Loop) [9-10 Buses] BSEP
[In case if u are asking why 113 shud remain at HCI, Hougang Central will be hugely developed during the next 10 years. A megamall will be built on top of the new Hougang Integrated Hub. And there are people taking 113 from Hougang. Remove 113 from there and people will not be happy, Eg. Removing the Old Sv 85 from Sengkang in the past.]
[Extension]
Lor Ah Soo
Upper Paya Lebar Rd
Upp S'goon Rd
Serangoon Int (Loop)
(113A) > 113M Kovan Stn - Upp Paya Lebar Rd (Loop) [2 Buses] (Full Day)
Kovan Stn
Freq : 25mins
Hougang St 21
Hougang Ave 1
Lor Ah Soo
Hougang St 11 [Amends broken link when 113 skips this street.]
Pros : 45A,53A/B and 113A can be withdrawn. More bus svcs to Serangoon MRT. Loops inside int, people will queue up and board 113 from Serangoon int instead of the hassle of going opposite to take 53 or outside to take Sv 45. Since People in lorong ah soo are already reliant on bus 45 or 53 to MRT and not 113 anymore.
Cons : 113 dosent turn into Hougang st 11, only 113M Does. Terminating Point for 113M is at the unused bus stop along tampines road (Where 119 turns right to Upp S'goon Rd back to Punggol)

First of all, Woodlands Int is currently full to bursting point, and can hardly accomodate new svcs. Next, Woodlands hardly needs so many new svcs to the city area. 951 (trunk variant of 951E) is ok, but can exit at Moulmein or Kampong Java and serve Newton/Scotts as well. 952 and 954 would take too much time at Ang Mo Kio and Sembawang Rd, too slow for pax travelling from Woodlands to city.
953 too long and winding, can start from Sembawang instead of Woodlands. Not many ppl would go to Sixth Avenue, while Holland Village and Buona Vista got MRT. May be better to go via Clementi Rd, to serve NP, SIM and maybe SP.
955 is a good route, fast connections between Woodlands, Yew Tee and Jurong West/ Joo Koon, viable alternative to MRT, although prone to jams at Woodlands checkpoint. May be better to terminate at Boon Lay instead (which should have space after some JIS move to Joo Koon), as off peak demand to NTU and Joo Koon may be quite low. Boon Lay also a more convenient transfer point for Jurong West residents.
since woodlands temporary interchange is coming up with the current interchange to be redeveloped, LTA must seize this opportunity to expand the interchange. how? i am unsure because it is already quite big yet it has so many services and buses the space is not enough.
however, the scholars at LTA should be smart enough since all the current ITHs are of excellent design cough cough.

That's why I stated "Future Development" since both the alighting berths had been used for svcs like 904, 950, 966, RP & NYP Shuttles... Only possible if WRI can be expanded bigger with more berths, more parking lots and wider lanes for manuvurability...

Can you please give me credit, when you have completely copy pasted my earlier proposal including the note on SWTs.

It is okay la... routes can be planned appropriately only if there is space at the terminal/interchange to accommodate - so it is related.

LTA is not in a mood to launch long-haul routes. Maybe we can expect 1 long haul route a year. This year we got none.
2012 - sv 50
2013 - sv 972
2014 - none
Not taking into account E and City Direct.

Thanks BusAnalayzer.
I suggested 113M as well.
Future Sengkang & Punggol Bus Services
Service 373 [Sengkang Int <> Anchorvale/Compassvale Ln].
- It'll head to Anchorvale first before Compassvale, hence the new bus stop outside Sengkang Interchange.
Service 374 [Sengkang Int <> Compassvale Bow/Rivervale Walk].
Service 44 [Punggol Int <> Airport Rd].
- Number 44 is chosen as it coincides with part of 43 & 45 routes.

I like your route, but I think your 374 can be merged with the East Loop of 373, and 373 can be further enchanced to loop at Fernvale there, just my 2-cents worth.

Serangoon to Hougang Loop better,Sgoon just nice got 2 lots for the svc..Maybe can add 2 BSEP DDs?
Originally posted by carbikebus:How is AC7 routing like?Maybe in future should they withdraw SMRT can take over and extend to Larkin?
AC7 plied JB Checkpoint, Woodlands Checkpoint, Woodlands Train Checkpoint, Admiralty Road, Riverside Road, Woodlands Ave 9 and then follows 858's route all the way to Yishun (vice versa for opposite direction). One bus can be quite packed with travellers and workers at times.

I also prefer start at Serangoon and loop somewhere in HG (not necessarily interchange).

I think could be good to merge 373 and 374 east loop... same bus can go in Compassalve and loop around Buangkok MRT and come back to interchange... can be numbered 374 with 2-3 buses.
On west loop, 373 is good but needs to be further extended to Jalan Kayu area along Sengkang West Way - that's where next here the bulk of BTO flats and condos are opening.
I would rather propose a short trunk that loops @ Seletar road.

SMRT should seize this opportunity if AC7 decide to back off,They should extend to Larkin and joint control with Wldep..Its a cashcow svc

I think it is better to make it pass by Boon Lay before taking the express sector on the AYE...

Hougang interchange has problems with the capacity of parking lots already. I have seen bcs finding parking lots by turning round and round just to park their bus. This not only reduce their rest time but also affect their mood. Also horn parades, where bcs honk at each other for hogging the right turn into the parking lots.. Really no parking lots leh. Yes 113 can start from Serangoon Int if it is extended and loop at Hougang Interchange and sometimes BC can layover at hougang central to rest/ meal breaks rather than hogging space at Serangoon sometimes.

Could be possible that with Sengkang interchange extension, 113 might get extended to Sengkang, and loop around Serangoon (wish) but more realistically will still loop around Upper Paya Lebar.

If it could get extended to Sengkang,
Would suggest to go via 62's routing then 136's routing into rivervale dr, then 87's routing into Sengkang Int.
Or
Duplicate 27's sector to Sengkang Int
