So I rather wait and see instead of letting SBST taking part of 190 first..
In simple words, they simply do not know how to deploy their buses.....
SV190 not high demand services? 43 DD deploy by SBST previously compare to the current fleet deploy by SMRT?
Mate, 43DD deployed in SBST era was more than 10years ago. Given that the population growth in CCK and Bt Panjang. It should deserved at least 50 DD now. Not talking big here, is a matter of fact.
Agreed that the LTA and the SMRT do not know how to utilise their limited DD now. very often you will see three empty DD running empty in the direction towards CCK around 10plus am. Wherelse City bound direction having MAN buses with ppl standing at the door steps

What is the fleet like for 190 prior to its handover to SMRT?
150 - Toa Payoh Int > Changi Airport (Loop)
Toa Payoh Int
Toa Payoh Lor 6
Jalan Toa Payoh (PIE)
Bendemeer Road
Geylang Bahru
Upper Boon Keng Road
Lor 1 Geylang
Kallang Airport Drive/Way (new bus stops)
Stadium Road/Drive (uses new bus stops where 16 will ply in future)
Stadium Boulevard (uses 11's stops)
Old Airport Road
Dunman Road
Haig Road (new bus stops)
Amber Road
Marine Parade Road
Still Road South (Express)
ECP
Airport Boulevard
Changi Airport PTB3, PTB1 and PTB2
---Continue back to Toa Payoh in opposite direction---
Reasons:
- New route to Changi Airport from Toa Payoh, since 989 was withdrawn.
- Connects Geylang/Upp Boon Keng residents to Stadium and Changi Airport
- Plys Kallang Airport Way/Ave as well as Stadium Road/Drive, to serve other areas of the National Stadium/Sports Hall that 11 do not serve currently.
- Connects Haig Road to Changi Airport and National Stadium
- A faster alternative from Marine Parade to Changi airport than 36.
Cons:
- Duplicates 31 and 36.
Any suggestions?

Smrt has given bulk of its dds to 963 as they intend to make it WAB faster. I am pissed off that LTA took in so many dds to just keep it SP. Rather should have let smrt register those dds and deploy on sv 190 and other needy services.
969 also managed poorly by smrt. I still dont get why 985 being a long trunk has no high capacity buses. Peak hours totally packed.

yeah... if 10 years ago, SBST can deploy 43 DDs, why after SMRT take over, the no of buses reduced so much? if SBST is still in charge of sv190, i think we will see at least 55-60 DDs...
SMRT should let those DDs off service back to CCK /Bukit Panjang. not sure why need so many buses departing from NBR in the morning.. Same go for evening as well.. at 5 pm plus, can see so many sv190 with few pax on PIE/BKE towards city...

SMRT should have just dumped all those SP BSEP DDs on Sv190 for the time being instead of parking them inside depots.. it is LTA fault who die die want to register 550 buses by end of 2014 mah...

That was exactly my point before. What is LTA intention - 550 buses on road or 550 buses in depot!?!?!
eyewash leh!
Need another BSEP from Bt Batok Via Bt Panjang parallel with 190 all e way to Orchard terminate at Lor 1..Bulim package with 18 DDs and Minor Amdep control?
190 44 DDs?
972 12 DDs and 2 SDs?
700 13 DDs with 5 SDs?
Im sure Shawn Ong will be happy like a lark!

I think that is a little extravagant. 190 can be full fleet DD just like sv 88.
972 is okay with 8 DDs, 6 SDs now (1 SD-->1 DD)... once Senja/Segar develop more, can add more DDs
700 is totally okay with current fleet. Loading has in fact dropped from the time 972 has been introduced.
It would be good to have a service from CCK via Keat Hong, Bukit Gambok and then to PIE/Orchard area.

More of bulk LTA's DD for 963...
I believe 972 side should replace and add 2 more ADLs..
Actually, why can't operators use BSEP buses for other svces? As long as they fulfilled the standards of the current BSEP services, isn't it alright? LOL..

Tuck yew dunno anything about public tpt,All he do is ask his team for surveys and get data from PTOs..If thing came out well he get the credit,if not he will start pointing finger..Standard procedure of the Men in White

I just realised. Anyway, afaik, buses can turn into Stagmont Ring..
