- Provides a direct link between Sembawang/Woodlands South and Bukit Timah/Clementi. Currently, Yishun has 852 and Woodlands Ctrl has 961, but SBW has no direct connection to Bukit Timah. This link is important since Bukit Timah/ Clementi Rd (NP/SIM) has no MRT station and currently requires a bus-MRT-bus transfer from SBW. Multiple transfers would still be required even after Downtown Line Stage 2 opens.
-Improves connectivity in Sembawang, with Admiralty Dr residents (near Canberra Pri side) having a more direct link to Canberra Rd and Sembawang MRT/Sun Plaza.
-Improves connectivity between Sembawang and Admiralty/Woodlands South
-Provides a link between Woodlands Ave 4, Ave 1 and Admiralty MRT (and future Woodlands South MRT)
-Provides a direct link between Clementi Rd (NP/SIM/NUS) and West Coast

I would prefer if this route starts at Lor 1 Geylang and terminates at Bedok and runs in both directions on weekends/PH.
If you see East Coast Park gets lot of people. I see many people take bus to Amber Road and walk down to ECP as there is very poor connectivity. At least on weekends / PH, should have enhanced frequency to ECP with connections to both Lor 1 and Bedok. Will work beautifully.

For sbs 50 and sbs 83, i strongly disagree. All these changes will only benefit sengkang residents and only a minority. When bus services are amended, the benefit must always be for the majority. With the amendment, punggol residents lose out terribly. More travelling time is needed. 83 should remain current route and new service 371 should go into compassvale crescent route before embarking on sengkang east way/west way. This will also connect compassvale crescent residents to fernvale and jalan kayu. Much better than sbs 83. It will also not lengthen punggol residents quick route from sengkang to punggol and vice versa. Sbs 50 main purpose is to give punggol residents a fast route to NSL mrt (ang mo kio and bishan) and by forcing it to go rivervale crescent takes the shine off the lrt in sengkang east.

SMB128B, firstly, I would appreciate if you don't use your back up account every single time to comment (all the last 6 posts you have done this).
secondly, plying Sv 83 via Compassalve Crescent, does not exceed commute time more than 2 mins. In fact, suggesting this rather than 371, so that those along Compassalve Crescent also get link to Punggol Road.
For Sv 50, it is the same reasoning. Rather than a new route catering to Rivervale Crescent, have 50 ply this route. Loading between Punggol and Sengkang is quite poor, it only picks up from Sengkang MRT, which should tell you something.
Anyway, both are just suggestions, which have a low likelihood of coming true giving how paranoid LTA is to allow any changes. Just shows when 115 still exists without any changes for so many years.
This is not SMB128B. We are 2 different people. Your suggestions to re-route sbs 83 and sbs 50 at the same time serve as a great inconvenience to the residents in punggol east near Riveria LRT and those staying inside punggol central near to punggol east road. Why I say so? At a stroke of suggestion, you lengthened the journey time simultaneously for these punggol east residents a fast way out of punggol to sengkang mrt. To be a good planner, you cannot simply just convenience one group of residents at the expense of another group. If a new service is needed to serve compassvale crescent and rivervale crescent residents, so be it. This goes to show many routes in sengkang not covered well despite the initial routes available now. Why we say this? Sbs 50 is introduced as a trunk service to connect punggol and sengkang to Ang mo kio and bishan. Not to go by smaller routes in and out. The route that is on is all main roads. You cannot use reasoning that sengkang mrt load to punggol is less so need route sbs 50 inwards. Basically travel from sengkang to punggol has many ways. For example, sbs 50, 82, 83, 85, 119, 136, mrt depending on where you are in sengkang and where you want go in punggol and vice versa. If you analyse the routes well, you will know they cater to different residents. So if need be, sbs 371 is to introduced to compassvale crescent and another sengkang service is needed to cover rivervale crescent because basically sengkang needs more services despite the LRT and MRT.

Hi mr carbikebus, I have said I am not SMB128B. I am a resident living in punggol. So I know the routes well here. We are all living in this world and the recommendations I have given for sbs 83 and sbs 50 are very valid. I do not do things to take revenge against others. I stood by my points of not lengthening the traveling time for sbs 83 and sbs 50. Bus Analyser's suggestions will severely slow down those residents living in punggol east. Thanks

Hi mr ooxFire0x, I think you get the wrong idea. We are all in this forum giving suggestions about possible routes. It is everybody right or rather suggestion if they think that the so-called amendment is not appropriate. We should exchange ideas constructively or voice out our opinions. Mr bus analyser comments for sbs 50, 83 are not that well-thought of. So we can always feedback constructively. It is never my intention to quarrel with others. We are all here to exchange our thoughts. Why are we deemed as bad as what you think?

Nah, it'll still be under BSEP rather than STBEP.

Dear ooxFire0x,
You sir really made my day. Instead of doing something else that's productive, you sir come into this forum and just want to post unnecessary comments. Quarreling with each other? Actually, no, they are debating whether or not to make or not to make the service. There's a difference. And YOU, sir, are a stupid person doing stupid things like this. Now if you can get your ass off that chair that is in front of that computer screen showing this text and do something productive with your time, it will be much appreciated.
Yours truly,
SBS9067A

Having the route serve harbourfront instead is not that useful since there's already 188 from clementi rd outside nus. Might work better if the route goes express along keppel viaduct instead, for a faster connection.
Extending the route through woodlands central removes the quick connection for sembawang residents, which was the main reason for introducing this route
