For west loop, better off heading to PSR Ctrl straight after Dr 8 (after new road opens). St 52 is really within walking distance to MRT, and there is Svc 15 if they really need a bus (abit screwed up frequency though)

- alternative: take 254, or walk (within 400m radius) to the nearest 192 bus stop.
- Weakened bus connections
- 1. Jurong West Street 64/Avenue 4 & Pioneer Road North
- comment: from my observations, people hardly take 192 to/fro Street 64 and the industrial areas. residents take 192 up to Avenue 4 only. connecting 192 with Pioneer MRT Station will compensate the people working in the industrial areas.
Hi Mr JurongWestresident, actually, I think it is better if we let 193 take the route amendment at Jurong West residential town, since it is less likely (than 192) to be shortened to Joo Koon Bus Interchange, consider its length being short(-er than 192), its importance to Upper Jurong Road, and the limited capacity of Joo Koon Bus Interchange.
while it can enhance the bus connectivity at Jurong West town, it can also compensate for the possible "shortening" of 192^ to Joo Koon Bus Interchange.
^likewise for 193 if it is the one that is being shortened to Joo Koon while 192 remains, although this is less likely to happen, in my opinion.
actually 192 should retain... at maximum re-route 192 to ply Upper Jurong Road directly to Tuas Avenue 3.
193 can re-route to take Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim and go to Joo Koon Bus Interchange. 193 is more able to shorten because there is MRT line following it closely.
If can only keep one while shorten the other, I think we have to review pros and cos and prioritise.
Cheers.

Have been studying the bus routes around Joo Koon Bus Interchange since yesterday until now. Wrote everything at http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?p=122048820#post122048820. Too tired to write everything here. Will only post pictures here... anyway, the pictures are quite self-explanatory.
basically,
Possible 192 amendment to serve Kian Teck:
after thinking through.... while writing the post I wrote yesterday at SGforums in this thread... I realise it's better to just leave routes 192 and 193 alone.
so, yeah, here is my vision on how the bus network around Joo Koon Bus Interchange would be when it opens.

basically,
- 182/182M, 251, 254, 255, 257 go to Joo Koon.
- 192 & 193 stay.
- 1 new route at Boon Lay.
- 2 new routes at Joo Koon.
251:First new route - at Boon Lay - can replace 254, 255 and 251:Second new route - at Joo Koon - dedicated for Benoi Setor:Third new route - at Joo Koon - can replace 194, 251 and 257:

Whoa... you've certainly thought a lot about this. Generally seems okay, but your third new route (Joo Koon - Jln Ahmad Ibrahim) cannot directly replace 194, as most ppl heading to Bird Park would be coming from other parts of Sg, and prefer to take bus from Boon Lay MRT. Maybe can extend that route to Boon Lay Int via Jln Boon Lay express, similar to 194 and 251 at the moment. And existing 194 can operate as M variant on weekends when demand to Bird Park is higher.
You may want to draw out all the routes on a single map using googlemaps, to make it clearer.

no need for such route. already cover by other service.
though i like propose 18 to go to bedok resorvoir view bto flat like ur propose service do.
service 18 runtime increase by 05 minute but give it exclusive route. i feel bad bedok reservoir view resident walk long distance to bedok res road to take bus to bedok. this way 18 can get more use. otherwise 18 load very low most time.

I feel like Sims Place Ter should be relocated to a bus park under the MRT tracks near the end of Lor 17 Geylang, to accomadate future bus svcs. Buses will drop passengers off at an alighting berth and board at a new bus stop.

If the terminal has to be relocated, I would rather prefer it is between Lor 25 and Lor 25A adjoining Aljunied MRT. This will be more useful.

I also considered that, if that happens it could be converted into a bus interchange (Aljunied Bus Interchange) or even be built as an ITH.

It could actually be a good proposition to have ITH there considering its a very populated township.
62 can start from there and do like 49 doing loop along Lor 1 Geylang twice. Will solve the bunching problem and delays on 62.
Few services from Lor 1 Geylang can be diverted here as well + use it for newer services.

Hi, I would like to suggest a new trunk route in Jurong West residential areas. Primarily, this new route serves new residential developments in Jurong West, along with route 49. Secondarily, this new route provides intra-town connection between Taman Jurong and Jurong West (Bulim/Gek Poh/Pioneer) which is currently not available. Tertiary, this new route may allow for shortening of existing trunk routes (eg. 246) and modification of various routes, leading to a more effective use of resources. It originates/terminates at Taman Jurong Bus Terminal and loops at Pioneer Road North. The length of this new trunk route is 19.05km, inclusive of the section at Taman Jurong Bus Terminal. Quite a good route, I would say.
How many lots at Taman Jurong ah?For Sims Place they can make a proper terminal just opp the terminal itself and Lor 1 services can terminate there
