- Provides fast and direct connection between Bt Panjang (Northwest) and Sengkang (Northeast), via Mandai Rd and Upp Thomson Rd
- Connects residential areas at Bt Panjang/Senja and Sengkang/Fernvale, industrial areas along Woodlands Rd, workers' dorms along Mandai Rd, military camps along Mandai Rd and Sembawang Rd (Mandai Hill Camp, Mandai Camp II, Nee Soon Camp), and future developments along Sengkang West Rd
- Provides additional bus links to Senja and Fernvale, including new stops along Senja Way (if possible) and Fernvale Link
- Svc no. can be 164 if SBST (although likely to be used for another new route instead), or 974 if SMRT
Good choice of roads, but the Bt Panjang - Mandai sector seems to follow 171 / 927 too much, you may want to use BKE instead or perhaps extend to Bt Batok?
Sengkang:Express svc loop at Marina Bay Sands
Hi. I would like to suggest a slight re-routing of express bus route 502, at Jurong. The purpose of this is to enhance the express bus connection in Jurong, while improve the express feature of this express bus route.
Before I go on writing the re-routed route, let me list down the major bus stops in Jurong, which this re-routed route would only serve.
The intention is for people to take a feeder or trunk bus from their houses to a major bus stop, then transfer to this express bus route.
Hi. I would like to suggest a minor amendment to existing rote 240 at Boon Lay and Taman Jurong.

Punggol and Sengkang will need more feeder svcs to serve the new flats that are coming up, but I'm not so sure about Ang Mo Kio. It is possible for mature estates to get new svcs to improve coverage to minor roads, just like 120, 121, 122, 140, 141, but much depends on residents' feedback and lobbying from MPs.

Hi. I would like to suggest a new bus route at Taman Jurong. From the several observations I made and the several sketches I drawn on maps, I think I have come up with a new bus route that will meet every demand, new and old.
Introducing, a 15.71 kilometre route between Bulim and Taman Jurong. Here, I would recommend that the authorities convert the SBS-only roundabout at Jurong West Avenue 3 into a roadside bus terminal, since that would no longer be extended anyway. To avoid confusion, I rather we call it "Westwood Bus Terminal".
Before there's any argument made, can I just say that at the southern section of Taman Jurong along Corporation Road, actually that area is within close proximity to 240? As such, priority should be given to Tukang Industrial area.
This new route has tons of benefits. Present it to the local RC people and they will surely be able to relate to it and tell you all the benefits. basically,

At the North, this route is clearly duplicating most of BSEP routes 990 and 41, and there's route 176 connecting Jurong East Central to Bukit Batok Bus Interchange. Nonetheless, it does provide the unique connection between Jurong East Central and Bukit Batok East Avenue 6.
At the South, this route is completely duplicating most of BSEP 143M. Yes, I agree with you that 143M the loading is very little. Maybe it is better to extend BSEP 143M to become a new trunk route that loops at Teban Gardens, to make better use of resources.
Actually, to think about it, this route provides many unique connections. It will bring relieve to route 176 where is runs along with. In terms of connections, this is a good route.
I do not know how is the loading of buses like at Jurong East. My concentration is only at Jurong West. Thus, I am not able to comment. Sorry.

Chinese Garden is effectively just Jurong East Street 13, Science Centre Road, and probably also the industrial area south of it.
For Jurong East Street 13, we can re-route 335 to Jurong East Street 13. Plying in between the residential area may enhance its coverage to the people there.
For Science Centre Road, I do not think there is much traffic there.
For the industrial area south of Chinese Garden, along Ayer Rajah Expressway, there is currently no bus service from Jurong East Bus Interchange. We should have a new bus service from Jurong East to Buroh Drive area.
I assume you are referring to the industrial area.

I am sorry. I think route 187 is already serving this area very well. Why do you think most of the bus routes concentrate at Avenue 1 while few ply along Jurong Lake? Besides, there's also route 180.
I am sorry. There's no need for this new route.
