if 71 is routed like that in Jurong West, there's very very little use of having it in Jurong West. Might as well terminate at Bukit Batok. (Might as well re-route 192 instead) Tell me who will use it in Jurong West? I do not think anyone would even use it for intratown connection in Jurong West. It does not connect to anywhere in Jurong West, besides Pioneer MRT, but seriously, Boon Lay MRT is nearer to them. #views #opinion #comment

I purposely diverted the route away from Boon Lay is because of the terrible jam everytime, that is why i intend to make Jurong West residence along St 63/64/65 a lot more easier to Pioneer/Joo Koon MRT stations. It is not whether connecting everywhere around Jurong or putting it as "Intratown".
If you want to make a connection everywhere around Jurong West/Jurong East, that will end up taking at least 2 hours to finish a directional-trip. Like that it will be the longest route in SG and you think LTA will want to even want to intro it?
A connection mainly is to cut down some slag & time for the residents, not to cater residents everywhere until too long winded and pax will just change to another mode of transport to make their life easier than frustration. It has to cut through bit by bit and at the same time as straightforward as possible.

not saying should serve every corner of Jurong. at least let it serve the major bus stops where multiple bus routes serve. #justsaying

It is a good route. If this is implemented, sv 85 should be changed. Suggestion for sv 85 is to do: Punggol Interchange loop @ Serangoon via Sengkang East/West Way, Jalan Kayu, YCK road. This will keep 85 unique sector b/w Punggol and Sengkang and at the same time relieve load on 70/103 on YCK road - Serangoon sector.

When you have sv 39, why do you need this route?

The extension of 965 does not make sense. 85 route can be amended as it is, if it is still operating from Punggol to Yishun via Seletar. The only stops missed are Lentor Ave that anyway don't have people at the stop for most part of day.

Hi. I would like to propose an amendment to a new route I suggested on last Sunday. Ultimately, this route is meant to provide the intra-town connection between Pioneer and Taman Jurong, provide the bus connection to Lakeside MRT Station from Hong Kah and Boon Lay, and enhance various bus connections across Jurong West. This amendment takes into account and avoids the 400m from Boon Lay Bus Interchange, to reduce duplication of resources while strengthen its coverage in Pioneer area. One challenge while drawing the route is to ensure that the length is not too long for a Singaporean trunk route. Originally, I wanted it to ply in both directions all the way to Jurong West Street 93, then loop at Street 91. However, after noticing the route is already at 10km mark at Street 93, I decided to make it loop there instead. Nonetheless, it does not defeat the purpose of providing intra-town connection to Taman Jurong. Secondarily, this trunk route may relieve the loading off Boon Lay Bus Interchange, because people may change to alight at Lakeside and take this service home. To connect to Lakeside MRT Station, I would suggest creating a new pair of bus stop at where a taxi stand used to be located, at the transformer/power plant/etc. building area.
The revised length of this route is around 20.51km. Coincidentally, the number 205 is not taken. Therefore, I would like to suggest calling this new bus route 205.
Here is the route information of 205:

The loopback from Bt Batok to Bt Panjang isn't helpful to Bt Batok residents, when 506 / 985 is more direct. In fact cutting it between Changi Airport and Jln Toa Payoh (terminate at TPY / St. Michaels) is enough for one transfer from Bt Batok (506), CCK (985) or Bt Panjang (966). But do agree that having a more direct link from CCK and Bt Panjang interior to Jln Toa Payoh would be useful.

Pretty redundant...Mei ling estate is within walking distance to queenstown mrt and 64 is already sufficient in handling the loads there. Furthermore your route too much duplication with 63, 120 and 122 along Redhill and Tiong Bahru so don't think your route will be feasible. Just my 2 cents worth...
Here is one of my more ambitious ideas - though I'm quite sure similar routes have been suggested before.
This is essentially extending 82 to Balestier Rd / Orchard Rd / Chinatown after Hougang Ctrl, via KPE, providing a much needed express link from NE as well as a direct route from the Whampoa area to Orchard and Chinatown. 83 will then be extended to take over the 82 route stretch to Serangoon, with the current Punggol - Sengkang sector numbered 83M.
Possible problems are the doubling of routes with 143 (mostly), between Thomson Rd - Chinatown, and the extensive stops along Balestier Rd that hinders the "express" between NE and the CBD.
Route map link (for 82) can be found here.
