Not really needed, when you already have 39 / 858 and 89 / 109 (transfer at TPE).

So far, full-day express services (50x, 51x) feature routes that serve a sizable section of residential areas before moving on to the express sector, and your route only seems to benefit Sengkang residents, so this is probably not viable; such routes are more suitable for peak-hour premium services. Extending it to neighbouring Hougang / Punggol at the same time will make the route too long.
506 is a special case of cross-island express passing multiple residential areas, but it doesn't pass through the CBD so the route length is still ok. Doubt any more such routes will be introduced though.
Have you taken a look at former express routes 501 / 511 / 512 (I'm not too sure of the exact routes)? Or mine suggestion to 82 on the previous page?

Hi, would like to propose a new route 3M, for Pasir Ris. Basically it is a route variant of 3 that covers the bus stops served only by the frequently crowded 3 and originates/terminates at PSR int. It is a Townlink style bus services that provides PSR residents an alternative to st 21 & 71 and also to st 11 & 12 where 359 plies though it takes a longer route.

Since there is news about Svc 860A... Might as well make it AM and PM Peak Service:
AM Peak: Yishun Interchange - Yishun Ring Road (Opp Blk 798)
PM Peak: Yishun Ring Road (Opp Blk 798) - Yishun Interchange
Fleet Addition: 5 Enviro 500 ADL
Why? PM Peak, load from Khatib MRT is heavy. Commuters prefer to alight at Khatib then Yishun nowadays with some of them walking to Blk 624 to take Svc 860.
If not then introduce new feeder service to ease the load...

Rationale:
- Relieve pressure on 222 (Potentially eliminate 222P in light of this service)
- Allow for connections to Kembangan MRT for Chai Chee Dr residents. Kembangan MRT is in fact nearer than Bedok MRT
- Enhance connectivity between Chai Chee/Kembangan and amenities along Marine Parade Rd (Schools, Library, Parkway Parade, etc) which is only served indirectly by 32 & 40.
- Supplement 15 along Telok Kurau Rd
- Provide Haig Rd residents with better bus access
This service is like 121/122. It's a supplementary service intended to enhance connectivity or fill in service gaps.I'd love to hear your feedback!
Hmmm. Quite good route. But then maybe can change to apply certain roads..
Service 47 - Revised route

Suggestion for SBST Trunk 137 (Ang Mo Kio Int <> Changi Business Pk Ter.)
Originally posted by mwhale7886:Suggestion for SBST Trunk 137 (Ang Mo Kio Int <> Changi Business Pk Ter.)
- Creates new connection btw AMK and Serangoon Ave 3 (Lor Chuan MRT)
- Newly serves a stretch of Serangoon Ave 3 and Serangoon Ctrl Dr
- Express sector btw Serangoon and Tampines via Bartley Viaduct.
- Enhances connections to/from Temasek Poly (from AMK, Serangoon and Tampines Ave 4, St 21, 23)
- Complements Svc 20 btw Tampines and Changi Business Pk, skipping Simei.
- Serves new bus stops in Changi Business Pk.
Hmm, many useful connections, especially between Serangoon and Temasek Poly/ Tampines via Bartley Rd East. Could ply Upp Serangoon Rd/Bartley Rd instead of Serangoon Ave 1, to connect Serangoon MRT more directly to the newly served stretch of S'goon Ave 3. Also, it could ply Expo Dr instead of Somapah Rd when the road is re-opened, for a more direct connection to Expo MRT.
Originally posted by Sbs6750E:Route Suggestion, Extendtion of service 83 to Punggol Rd End.
Via, (continue original route to Punggol Central), Punggol Pl, Punggol Field, Punggol Rd, Punggol Rd End.
• direct connection for Sengkang/Punggol residents to attractions around Punggol Rd, • Saves berth at Punggol Temporary Bus Interchange
Notes: • This extendtion will originate from Sengkang Interchange and loop at Punggol Rd End.
• Service 84 will be withdrawn and service 83 will cover the lost secters of 84.
It will cause inconvenience to many pax who take 83 from Punggol
* Extension, sectors.

Merging with svc 83 as such would mean the bus route crosses itself, and pax from Punggol Ctrl/East/Field would have to go one round around Punggol Pl before heading up to Punggol Rd End. Anyway, may not be good to merge 84 with another svc at the moment, since its demand and required frequency is lower than other svcs.
However, I think it would make sense to have some new bus svcs passing through Punggol without terminating there, to save berthing space. Currently, all Punggol bus svcs (except those at the TPE bus stops) terminate at the bus interchange.

Hi mr sbs6750E, to be frank, this is not a good suggestion. This merger serves not much of a benefit. Instead, it seems to be draggy. Serving berth space is one issue but the route will inconvenience many people along Punggol central. Moreover, sbs 84 only has 2 buses. Time for a rethink. Cheers.
sv 850 (or you can number it anything else!)
Sembawang Interchange >> Canberra Road >> Yishun Ave 2 >> Yishun Ave 7 >> Yishun Ave 6 >> Yishun St 31 >> Yishun Ring Road >> Yishun Ave 2 (Khatib MRT) >> express >> Dhoby Ghaut MRT >> Bras Basah Road >> Victoria St (Bugis) >> Rochor Canal Road >> Bencoolen St >> Middle Rd >> Selgie Rd >> Stamford St >> Dhoby Ghaut MRT & back to Sembawang.
** With occupancy increasing in Sembawang and Yishun, should have 190/972 style express bus to city yet not commanding express fares. Also service should run full day.
** Can introduce 850A that terminates at Rochor Canal road during AM hours, and downroute starts from Khatib MRT to Sembawang. Every alternate bus can be 850A
** Frequency 850: 15 mins, 850A: 15 mins.

Good route there..Most probably wont introduce cause LTA doesnt favour long distance trunk svc anymore unless its a peak hour express svc

Feeder373W: Plies reversed direction of 373G.
Why?
Enhanses introtown connectivity around Anchorvale & Fernvale.
Serves new Hdb blocks along Sengkang West Way which is only covered by 85.
Serves Anchorvale Lane, which doesn’t have any bus service until now.
Better connection to The Seletar Mall.
What do you think? Feedbacks are welcomed!
Actually no need for G/W... 373 can ply to Sengkang West Way and loop around Seletar Mall/Fernvale area. It can do Anchorvale lane as well. Sengkang West/East ave have LRT/50/163 so doing okay for now.
I don't know what is stopping LTA to launch new service to Sengkang West Way... By now there should have been a trunk (sv 50 style) going to maybe AMK and a feeder 373.
On another note, sv 85 loading is not very great between Sengkang West Way and Sengkang either. I think two reasons:
- Poor frequency
- MRT is quite far so there is bit of walk. So people must be instead preferring to walk and take LRT instead, at least frequency guaranteed (but either way it's quite a walk and not v convenient during sunny/rainy days)

I know but this will have to come sooner or later I feel... given the huge occupancy around Yishun ring road area and new Canberra town as well. It might not get implemented immediately, but I think in 2016 has a good chance.
