Maybe you can ask Gus Chong, as he say that SBST will not be operating any premium service in 2015... not sure where he get the info from. Maybe he work in SBST.
Ok that makes sense... coz with premium service not having standees... with just 30-34 pax... service may not be profitable...

If you haven't been telling me all this, people will just go ahead and agree with what I am saying, after all SBS Transit seems to be handing over the Premium services quite fast somewhat. Let me tell you first, I did not get any info from anyone and it is a spectulation, but hey...it do sounds quite true, don't it? They just seems to feel that the handing over of Premium services is due to the new bus contracting model.

30-35 seats...

Premium Bus Services 556 & 557 will no longer be operated by SBS Transit from 15 September 2014

I just wonder who is the smart one who say that Premium services are transferred to other operators because of redeployment issue with MK4s...when in fact, Premium services with DD perms are also going to be transferred to other operators. This only seems to further prove that it is related to the new bus contracting model. Sorry to say that but this time round I stand corrected though.

Probably...Now SBS Transit have to focus more on the trunk loads without the crossovers.
Originally posted by carbikebus:Hmm i do hope all PBS transfer to private operators better..PTO should just stick to trunks/feeders/express svc
Agree with that.

I doubt private operators would want to purchased articulated buses. They will need double the usual parking space at the heavy vehicle park.
