I'm surprised that it is on a slope... Will it cause problems for traffic exiting at the slip road?
No it doesnt cause problems for traffic exiting, it is very spacious...
Anyway most services leaving PNH/SKG use this slip road...
One mus b there personally 2 c it

Hi mr Acx1688, the picture does not do justice to the long bus stop. I bypass it almost everyday. It is about 5 times the normal bus stops you see everywhere! Endured 1 year 3 months of daily weekday morning peak hour jams when the bus stop was constructed. The nightmare has ended!
So much angst as usual.
Life is so simple actually.
If the bus is full/slow/whatever, adjust your timings and expectations.
*yawn*

1. Sv 27 bunches more than it does not. 2-3 buses together is common. Especially at Tampinee Reg Library towards Hougang, you will see 3 buses in PM turning in from tam ave 4. As you are aware, people all flog into the first bus. This way first two buses get 70 pax, next buses that come go empty. Very common. You realize people go standing, sticking to each other for 20-25 mins of their journey. Can be avoided by putting lesser buses no roads and having DDs leaving from Tampines interchange instead on 27M.
2. CGA does not need 3-4 minute frequency. The loading there is pretty low. Hence, 27 can have frequency of 8-10 mins to CGA and 27M can have frequency of 6-8 mins from Tampines Interchange with DDs.
Lta should seriously consider this, and this decision will very well be welcome by people.
As a usual 27 commuter, I strongly agree with your suggestion.
Anyone here take 27 or 27A in the morning? I observed that the schedule for 27A is always behind 27, even if 27A is at the front it will still purposely slow down and 27 drivers will speed up to overtake. But the problem is that most commuters still board the first bus they see, even if it is crowded and 27A is just behind.
I also hope that the scheldule for 27A could be changed, to place them infront of the 27 bus, or between the front and back 27 buses to reduce waiting time.

LTA, do you care about what users actually face and want??

Oh there are not only 5. Should be 6 poles and 12 glass panels to show bus service numbers! So bus stop should be about 6 times longer than normal bus stop! Cheers.

Folks, 6 poles(eh u noe have six? coz i din c any pole last week except glass panels) means there will be NEW services utilising TPE to get to somewhere
to simplify, just look at the boarding/alighting bay of some interchanges(old school type for comparison) to compare the new TPE bus stop near SKG/PNG
Bedok TEMP int : 1.5 of total berths
SKG Int: all the berths combined and put it in a straight line

Wonder why this long... Saw it on SMB1345J on 858 to CGA and I was literally: Why is it so long? BSEP did this to give new services to Sengkang and Punggol? Oh no.

Hi mr Acx1688, I take it as 2 glass panels to 1 pole. There are 12 glass panels. So I predict 6. Cheers.

Observation:
** 90% part of route loading 65+ pax
** notice heavy loading/unloading at every stop. This must be one of the highly profitable routes just with the sheer number of passengers it carries
** bus is quite fast as it is dd! people get down and board swiftly as it is not to its peak capacity. Imaging how slow a Citaro or KUB would be on this route, where every time bc will have to tell people to move behind.
** after Chinatown! loading started to cross 70+ pax and grew even more before Little India area..
** excited to take service between Chinatown and Hougang next time.

** The BC was an expert driver. As soon as pax would board, he would take the bus out of the stop and drive fast to the next stop (without feeling terrified)
** High loading between Tanah Merah / Upper Changi Rd, Simei MRT / Tampines CC along Tampines Ave 2
** I think most of the airport cargo staff might have gone in the earlier 3-4 buses as by the time this bus reached Tampines Ave 7, it was already 8.30am+
Question
If you take MRT on EW line, how would you prefer to travel to airport cargo?
1. Alight at Simei and take sv 9
2. Alight at Tampines and take sv 19
3. Alight at Pasir Ris and take sv 89
Choose your option.

3 juz bcoz of DM5000

I would choose 1 as Simei is fastest... But I agree with you that getting a seat at Simei may not always be possible, and hence many might choose Tampines as well. Choosing Pasir Ris is a bad option, because bus is already very crowded when it comes there.

** Loading quite high in major part of route. I think this service can warrant a BSEP DD add
** Could see around 20-30 pax waiting on opposite side bus stops on st 45. A sv 28 crossed at Tampines Mart. I am sure it will reach Tampines MRT with 80+ pax.

Hougang St 11 - 3 boarding, 7 pax alighting (6 pax onboard)
Upper Paya Lebar Road - 18 boarding, 3 alighting. (21 pax onboard) I alighted here.
The bus would have gotten more pax. Would have reached 80+ pax as the bus was 5 minutes early. The light on the DDU was red, indicating that the bus captain was very early. A beep sound could be heard several times. Also most of the pax alighted along Lorong Ah Soo. Seems like Sv 45 and 53 hasnt taken most of 113's load.
