It is a real annoyance that all airport-bound services are high demand services and yet can only use single-decks.

Yes it is really annoying and situation will not get fixed also.
334 loading 20/2 at 17.55 at JE Interchange to Jurong West Ave 1 (bef turning to st 42)

Jurong TownHall Rd --> 90
Jurong East Ave 1 --> 88, 77, 73
Jurong West Ave 1 --> 70, 66, 62, 58 (right before turning to st 42)
** Loading on 334 still very high, but observed most people who boarded at JE already alighted and many people boarded at Jurong Poly, Jurong Green who will travel to stops along st 41. So maybe 49 might be getting more pax returning home from Lakeside. Unfortunately, waited for 7-8 mins but didn't see a 49 pass by.
While I was at JE observed very long queues on sv 98. Both sv 98 that passed by had a good number of standees.
Anyone wants me to do any loading survey here as part of my regular loading analysis? Let me know

Would you dare to do Sentosa's overcrowded Bus 1 and 2?

No does not interest me
Actually LTA hires 3rd parties to do bus ground surveys.
Why not check that out?
Might align your interest with theirs.

Observation:
There is DD worthy loading that picks up from ITE towards YCK Road. From here on there is a healthy mix of pax who enter and leave the bus. Even in Fernvale, Anchorvale area, a good number of pax enter the bus though many more alight. This has definitely been people who now choose 50 over 163 to reach Sengkang MRT area faster. I can foresee AM peak, 50 will be going housefull from here to Sengkang MRT as loading on buses in opposite direction was very high (saw Citaro full to door) cross at Sengkang East Way.
Another observation - with new services launched under BSEP and significant addition of buses to existing services, the loading on each bus has dropped. Most DD services now have a healthy number of pax and rarely you will see 90+ pax on a bus which was very common one year back.

@sbs5011P: with this kind of loading you can never expect DDs to be deployed on 113 right? I would advocate 1 more crossover bus for 113A but LTA /SBST clearly want to add more capacity on 53 instead due to extremely poor bi-directional loading for 75% of its route. This is the 5th time I am posting loading on 113 so it is not a one off observation but peak hour observation.

113's AM Peak loading is not as high as in the evening even though i have seen fullhouse kubs in the morning towards kovan station. I would say evening peak is much higher.
I would say 53's loading is higher in the morning because if you are rushing to work, 45 and 53 comes more frequently rather than 113. Would you prefer to go to a bus stop that has 2 bus svcs to MRT or 1 bus svc to MRT?
People along HG Ave 1 take 113 cause it's faster to Kovan MRT while Lor Ah Soo Residents take 45,53 to SGN.

I am not arguing that the loading from Kovan to HG Ave 1 is high. In my observation also it comes out clearly. Though if you see the loading between Kovan and HG interchange it is at an average 20 pax. Even SDs are not used well. Hence, 113 has not got any BSEP add, forget upgrade to DD.
To compensate for low capacity between Kovan and HG Ave 1, SBST/LTA have added 4 buses on sv 53 instead. For Lor Ah Soo residents, have added 3 BSEP WEGs.
