Okay. Observations this week: 99, 125.
sv 112 typical loading ranges
AM peak
HG Interchange -- 5/15
Upper Serangoon Rd -- 10/15
HG Ave 7 -- 40/50
Tampines Rd -- 45/55
HG St 21 -- 55/60
Upper Serangoon Rd -- 30/40
HG Ave 2 -- 20/25
HG Ave 8 -- 15/20
HG Ave 4 -- 15/20
HG Ave 9 -- 5/10
HG St 92 -- 15/20
HG Ave 9 -- 15/25
HG Ave 4 -- 20/30
HG Ave 8 -- 45/55
HG Ave 2 -- 60/70
Upper Serangoon Rd -- 60/70
HG St 21 -- 15/20
Tampines Rd -- 10/15
HG Ave 7 -- 40/50
Upper Serangoon Rd -- 35/40
These would be typical AM loading. Sometimes loading can be very heavy from HG Ave 2 to Kovan if on HG Ave 8, 112 has arrived before 147, and on HG Ave 2, 112 has arrived before 132.

I foresee 112 getting 2 DDs in 2015. By then the loading towards Kovan from HG Ave 2 will cross 70+ pax and will have stronger loading from HG Ave 7 to HG / Kovan with the new flats completed.
Loading Observation: sv 99, B9TL @ 17.40, 13/3
Clementi Interchange -- 69
Commonwealth Ave -- 75, 71, 66, 65, 73, 93, 111
Boon Lay Way -- 116, 78 (49 pax alighted, 11 board), 78, 76
Jurong Townhall Rd -- 75
Jurong East Ave 1 -- 77, 78, 75
Jurong West Ave 1 -- 73, 72, 76, 73, 72
Corporation Rd -- 67
Boon Lay Dr -- 64
Boon Lay Place -- 64, 60
Boon Lay Ave -- 62, 64
Jalan Boon Lay -- 62
Jurong West Ave 4 -- 61, 60
Jurong West St 72 -- 56, 50
Jurong West Ave 5 -- 53, 50
Jurong West St 91 -- 43 (alighted here at Blk 962)
and took 241 back to Pioneer MRT from opp bus stop.
** Observed extremely heavy loading towards Jurong MRT and 70+ pax loading all the way to Jurong West Ave 1. Even after the loading was always 50+ which I think is very good. I am not sure if all 99 buses get this kind of loading, because I observed some buses do not have heavy loading as well. So I don't think high loading is very consistent, but there definitely are pockets of very high loading for the route.
Sv 73 @ AMK Interchange 18.12 (KUB)
AMK Interchange -- 14
AMK Ave 3 -- 43 (MRT), 45, 50, 48, 49, 51, 57

Bradell Road -- 37, 37
Lor 6 Toa Payoh -- 36
Lor 4 Toa Payoh -- 31, 30
Lor 6 Toa Payoh -- 23
(alighted at Toa Payoh MRT)
** observed buses on opposite side also were mostly fully seated and few standies but not overly crowded **
For carbikebus.
Took 125 from Whompoa. Left a KUB, coz I wanted to take the DD.
Time: 17.16 at St. Michael's (I was the only one who boarded)
St. Michael's Terminal --> 1
Whompoa Rd --> 9
Jalan Bahagia --> 17, 25
Kim Keat Rd --> 35, 41
Balestier Rd --> 49, 57, 58, 62
Serangoon Rd --> 61, 34 (BK MRT), 35, 34, 31

Kallang Way --> 32, 40, 53
Lor Batu --> 59
Macpherson --> 60
Bendemeer Rd --> 58 (MOM Center) ... alighted here.
cbb bro... guess the DDs are justified and introduced and timed for the Kallang industrial estate peak loading. I am now curious to see the AM loading - will do it one of the days.
Sv 82 from NEX @ 18.33
NEX -- 17
Serangoon Central -- 24
Boundary Rd -- 25
Upper Serangoon Rd -- 26, 25, 43 (Kovan MRT), 45, 45
HG ave 2 -- 41
HG ave 10 -- 39, 36, 62 (HG MRT), 61
Punggol Rd -- 57, 52, 51, 48, 44, 43 (bef TPE), 31
Punggol Field -- 20
** As expected, highest loading came at HG MRT as it is the only service that connects HG MRT to all of Punggol rd.
sv 83 @ 8,02am from Punggol Interchange
Punggol Interchange -- 13
Punggol Central -- 15, 18, 27
Punggol East -- 34
Punggol Field -- 46, 54, 68 (Citaro just managed to squeeze, packed to door)
Punggol Rd -- 68 (took a lot of time to alight/board, as around 15 pax alighted, then BC had to tell pax to move behind and then pax boarded. I saw one person went back to stop and did not board), 66
Compassalve -- 69, 70 (pax just squeezed, 8-9 pax could not board)
Sengkang East -- 66, 40 (alighted here).
** I saw two major issues while on sv 83 Citaro this morning.
1. Boarding/alighting time at stops was quite long as bus was packed to door, and pax could only board after people alighted and then oblidged to move behind. DD syndrome on Citaro!!
2. A rare sight where pax could not board? It could be because of the high boarding/alighting time at Punggol Rd, the bus got delayed when it came to Compassalve, and more pax were at the bus stop, hence could not board. PM peak, 83 loading is well controlled by Citaro.
Originally posted by carbikebus:Thanks bro BusAnal..So 3 DDs are more than enough for 125.
83 should use KUBs more.
852 should have 14 buses which 2 are splits..
853 during Sundays should have 20 buses..2 TQ duties ended too early at 17.20

Hi mr BusAnalyser, sbs 83 is generally slow along Punggol field and Punggol road. That is why sbs 50 is very good an alterative for Punggol east residents!!!! Cheers!

If you see 83s main loading comes from Punggol Field and Punggol road, not really Punggol East. Also 50 and 83 cater to completely different areas in Sengkang apart from Compass Point.
To mt it was really surprising how much time thee citaro was taking to load/unload on Punggol rd - something you observe on DDs when they have 110+ pax on board.

But LTA thinks it differently-they designed the LRT to act as a feeder route only. But to me is a waste of money and resources not to link the 2 towns together. if 2 towns got linked by LRT, rail freq can improve and if crowded can use twin cars. also is so convenient can take LRT from Punggol to Fernvale/Jln Kayu areas for eg. Now got LRT why people still squeeze on 83??
Bro, LRT would be such a white elephant... There are only some timings where 83 gets packed to door. For this you want LRT?? Also note that buses are more efficient coz they connect you to doorstep different parts of Sengkang and Punggol without having to do many changes. 43, 50, 62, 82, 83, 85, 119, 136 all connect Punggol and SengkNg at different areas. You can't provide flexibility with LRT + you have NEL to connect by MRT sengkang and Punggol stations.
371 loadings yesterday (Started trip at 1.20p.m.):
Sengkang Int - 20
No change to Rivervale Dr...
Rivervale Pri Sch - 18 (-6, +4)
Blk 153 - 19 (+1)
Opp Blk 178A - 20 (-10, +11)
Blk 156A CP - 16 (-4)
Blk 137 - 17 (-1, +2)
Blk 248A - 17 (-3, +3)
Sengkang Int - 17
Loadings are quite good so far for such a short feeder... Many people were waiting at Opp Blk 178A for 371.
803 loadings yesterday (Started trip at about 3.20p.m.)
Yishun Int - 6
No change to Yishun Ave 9...
Blk 241 - 6 (-2, +2)
No change to Yishun Ave 9...
Opp Blk 245 - 7 (+1)
Blk 309 - 6 (-4, +3)
No change to Yishun Ave 2...
Northpoint Shop Ctr - 0 (-6)
Loadings are quite low so far for this feeder... Note that there were 4 aunties who were onboard chating from Yishun Int and only got off at Blk 309, probably to try out 803...

No need for that lah.
Unless majority of the ppl travel to like Fernvale from Damai. No right? So no need. There's an MRT alr. If you make it through service it would be a white elephant. Just leave the service tracks alone.

Hi mr SBS3688Y, Punggol to fernvale connected by sbs 50/85. Punggol to Jalan Kayu connected by sbs 85. Sengkang to Jalan Kayu connected by sbs 86. No need for LRT to LRT town linkage. Cheers

Hi mr BusAnalyser, that is why sbs 50 provides a lot of relief. Cheers

Hi mr 23ispolo, yes very healthy demand for sbs 371. Very direct service for rivervale drive and crescent residents. I took it both times and both times, ridership figures were very healthy. Cheers
