End phone call, ADL left, one 969 bendy come immediately
Go somewhere buy something (shop within 25m of 969 berth), turn around, bendy left, 969 MAN at berth (probably immediately, I shop for a minute)
Walk towards berth, 969 MAN left, another 969 MAN arrives immediately
Is this even normal for the 7pm load at Tamp Int?
If you ask me, the second MAN was not even needed, the first MAN still have a bit of space left (both ADL and Bendy left full earlier)
This is post by BIAT...
Btw the 2nd MAN is a full day bus so that bus is needed in any way or another.Just the freq got problem
By the way saw a full day 969 DD with full seated
Ever saw 2 Svc 969 MANs leaving Tampines within 2-3mins...
Loading level on Christmas Day - Expect loads to be only 7pax on industrial services, 15pax on service 31/feeder services/17 and up to 30-40pax on all services.

why did you remember christmas day? I think PM load on Xmas day can be quite heavy on both feeder/trunk services, almost close to 0 on industrial services.

Way lower than expected.. but will pick up soon I believe... will try in Dec after one month from launch to gauge loading.
Loading on sv 904 @ 17.45
Woodlands Interchange -- 24
Woodlands Ave 7 -- 26 (-2/4), 28 (-4/6), 27 (-8/7), 34 (-7/14) Admiralty MRT --> I alighted here.
* Pretty good loading for feeder service (with more BTOs coming in this area, loading will increase further)
Loading on sv 43M @ 07.30am from Punggol Interchange WEG
Punggol Interchange -- 06* this bus came 08 mins after previous bus which was also DD but on sv 43
Punggol West -- 23 (-2/19)* Heavy construction going along this road, anticipate an additional stop before flyover in few months
Sengkang East Rd -- 26 (-2/5), 36 (-7/17)
Sengkang Central -- 39 (-7/10), 38 (-9/8)* lower than anticipated ppl boarded at BGK MRT
Buangkok Dr -- 40 (-2/4)
Buangkok Green -- 40 (-6/6), 41 (-9/10), 44 (-1/4), 77 (-6/39)* stop before YCK road saw a huge loading. I think this stop in itself maybe had like 100 pax waiting.. i think others maybe for sv 88. This is where the DDs on sv 43 come handy. Until this stop, loadingwas in 30s and lower 40s.
YCK Road -- 78 (-6/7)* on this stop ahead was bus sv 72 DD and even ahead of that was bus 70 DD, 80 (-8/10), 78 (-6/4), 76 (-4/2), 76 (-2/2), 76 (0/0), 74 (-2/0)
YCK Link -- 70 (-6/2)
Boundary Rd -- express.. bus did not stop here..
Upper Serangoon Rd -- 67 (-3/0)
Serangoon Central -- 37 (-66/37)* only counted pax who boarded, as I believe except for me all pax must have alighted here, 41 (-1/5) -- I alighted here.
bold -- pax on bus >= 70 pax
red -- influence of other bus service on current bus loading
pink -- comments on loading on particular stops
General summary:
As we can see... 43/43M has heavy loading between Buangkok Green (before YCK road) to NEX... opp side loading also not bad with 40 pax already when I alighted. I think this service enhancement will hugely benefit people in this region.
On another note, we can expect loading between Buangkok and Punggol to be low. Hence, not sure if it would have been wiser to have started 43M from Serangoon Interchange looping @ Buangkok Link or Buangkok MRT.
No la start from IMH loop at Punggol 21 better

Hi mr busanalyser, for your last statement, I disagree. Even with a bigger serangoon interchange, sbs 43M will still have to start off from Punggol interchange to loop at serangoon central. LTA mentality is fixed in such a way that if the parent service is from Punggol to upper east coast terminal, that the M service will have to start off from a same interchange (which is Punggol). No such thing as start from another different interchange and loop at somewhere else along its route. In that case, it should not be called 43M anymore. Cheers.
Today morning 990 loadings not bad,Average of 14 pax per bus

Ok. thanks for pointing that out. But seems foolish to me. You are okay to run empty buses and waste resources, but not modify the numbering scheme. Anyway, what I proposed would be more optimal and practical. I still support 43M coz given the huge development w/ Buangkok Vale and sv 70 buses already coming full from Seletar... either a new service or major service enhancement for YCK road - Serangoon was needed.

Hi mr busanalyser, nobody will like to waste resources. Take note that the buses do not need to be full at every instance. From Buangkok to Punggol, it may not be as much as other sectors. Home work is already done to take into account the fact that those heavy sectors are more than enough to cover for the shortfall in some lower demand sectors. So sbs 43M is correct in its current introduction as it still helps a lot in relieving load for parent sbs 43. Furthermore, this will make the whole numbering system easier to understand, especially for the elderly and tourists. Nobody will ask later how come 43 starts Punggol and 43M starts serangoon. It will make a mockery of the whole system. Cheers.

First of all I thanked you for pointing out that M can only start from interchange. Now, why do you have to give me such a big lecture again? And how does it make a mockery of the system? And how does 43M make it difficult to understand if it operates from Serangoon and loops @ Buangkok? Isn't it the same route, or a different one? You are making a mockery with what you are writing..
On a separate note, yes not every bus needs to be full.. even normal 43 is not full from Punggol to Buangkok.. and it is okay.. no one is asking to withdraw it.. I was just stating another option of what could have been more effective for 43M.. and there you started giving me this long lecture. Now continue arguing.
My first ride on sv 963 DD ~ absolute pleasure @ 17.45
Harbourfront Interchange -- 42
Tehlok Blangah Rd -- 45 (0/3), 49 (0/4), 54 (0/5), 56 (0/2)
Alexandra Rd -- 66 (0/10), 78 (0/12), 79 (-1/2)* first stop when 1 pax alighted.
AYE -- 79 (-5/5), 87 (-2/10), 91 (-4/8), 99 (-4/12), 105 (-3/12), 103 (-9/7)* first time the pax decreased.. as # pax kept increasing on the bus till here, 104 (-6/7), 101 (-8/5)
Clementi Ave 6 -- 98 (-9/6)
Commonwealth Ave West -- 95 (-8/5), 96 (-1/2)
Toh Tuck Ave -- 104 (-2/10), 114 (0/10)* the loading now reminds me of sv 72 & 88 before more DDs and buses were added.
Bukit Batok East Ave 3 -- 112 (-7/5), 110 (-12/10), 112 (-10/12), 105 (-16/9)
Bukit Batok East Ave 4 -- 96 (-14/5)

Upper Bukit Timah Rd -- 73 (-3/5), 69 (-7/3), 67 (-5/3), 67 (-3/3), 65 (-5/3), 66 (-3/4)* now the DD loading went down for first time after it picked up 70+ pax at Alexandra road
Bukit Panjang Road -- 69 (-7/12)
Jelubu Road -- 68 (-5/4)
Petir Road -- 66 (-9/7), 58 (-12/4)
Pending Road -- 57 (-9/8)
Bukit Panjang Road -- 57 (-8/8)* I alighted here... was losing my concentration after such an intensive loading counting session... lol... But this is stop before BKE, so I assume loading will be SD loading from here onwards
What to say -- super high loading. Reminded me some of the SBST services before BSEP DDs. Thankfully, DDs have come to sv 963 now. I am surprised that ppl only complained about 190 and did not complain about 963 given the load is pretty high for this service as well, and that too now after so much enhancement. Before BSEP DDs, I wonder what would be happening.. so many pax stranded everyday.
190 cause more direct to town and town workers do complain a lot due to stress..
SMRT should concentrate on svc like 187,851,854,980 too before they are included in the second package
My first ride on sv 190 DD ~ epic!! From Clarke Quay @ 17.25
Clarke Quay -- 38
Victoria St -- 39 (-2/3), 44 (0/5)
Stamford St -- 54 (0/10), 58 (-2/6)
Penang Rd -- 67 (-4/13), 74 (-2/9)
Somerset Rd -- 80 (-2/8)
Orchard -- 82 (-6/8), 87 (-3/8)
Scotts Rd -- 96 (-5/14)* in the most peak hour, everyone at the bus stop could board sv 190. Already a good achievement for both SMRT and LTA
Stevens Rd -- 93 (-5/2), 89 (-4/0), 90 (-2/3), 89 (-2/1)
Whitley Rd -- 92 (-8/11)* stop before PIE.. only 10 pax standing compared to a SD that would have already started bursting with pax.. and leaving ppl stranded behind.. or even with bendy.. 32 pax would have to be standing all the way compared to 10 of DD.
Bukit Panjang Rd -- 86 (-14/8), 82 (-7/3), 75 (-13/6), 69 (-16/10)* I alighted here at Bukit Panjang.
- As expected, loading continues to be heavy BUT no pax was stranded. Everyone could comfortably board. Max standees on bus were around 10. 90% travellers were long distance travellers
- Significant improvement to sv 190. I hope people are happy now. There was a bus 04 mins before this one and when I alighted at BPJ, a bendy came in 03 mins later and must have had around 60-70 pax as well.
- The enhancement to 700 and 972 have also helped with coping with 190 loading. As per my calculation, at least 40 pax who boarded before PIE were CCK bound (that is did not alight at BPJ stops).
- Loading continued to be heavy when I alighted with 69pax. Seriously, SMRT side has some of the most high loading services. Noticed the same thing with sv 963 also. Or is it that there is still significant enhancement required? I don't know which SBST service today can compare 190/963 loading. Maybe 334 but that is a feeder.
Observation from BPJ stop on 920/922
19.18 - 922 - 24 pax
19.20 - 920 - 37 pax
19.28 - 920 - 31 pax
19.32 - 922 - 26 pax
19.34 - 920 - 26 pax
19.36 - 922 - 11 pax
* Surprisingly didn't see any bus get huge load. I think most ppl take the LRT.
* 920 loading > 922 on account of Senja I think where no LRT
* 922 loading might have taken a beating coz 972 is also there along same route
* This service is good with SDs for now, no need for high capacity buses (may be needed after DTL starts operation)
* Any other observations on 920/922 loadings?
Maybe a new svc from CCK to Marina Ctr and 171 shortened Yishun-CCK
Loading on sv 120 @ 17.30 hours from Lower Delta Road
When bus arrived, on-board: 12 pax, boarded: 3 = 15
Tiong Bahru Rd -- 17 (-1/3), 19 (-2/4), 22 (-2/5), 28 (-7/13) Redhill MRT
Alexandra Rd -- 27 (-4/3), 23 (-7/3), 23 (-3/3), 24 (-3/4), 19 (-11/6) *high # pax alighted at Queenstown shopping center (alternative: 33... 13 pax go beyond), 21 (0/2), 25 (-1/5), 28 (-1/4)
Tiong Bahru Rd -- 25 (-3/0), 24 (-3/2), 29 (-5/10) Tehlok Blangah MRT
Henderson Rd -- 23 (-8/2) I alighted here.
* Peak loading of bus = 29 pax
* Loading has picked up since observed last time, yet quite poor (not even crossing 30 pax)
* It is funny that some people love to stand. There were 6-8 pax standing always even though plenty of seats were available.

I alighted here at stop before Loyang/PIE... Observed lot of people boarded along Tampines Ave 7 as well... I think transfer from other services... Bus was packed throughout.

Apparently, just now, 4 left int with full bus earlier, I think got a few pax left behind. But I heard got some junction at Changi Prison there got problem with turning, hence no DD.
And it seems to be eating into 81's pax. Even the 39 I took left with more pax than 81.
