Note: After recording the loadings above, I saw two 138 Citaros coming and I boarded one of them. If I'm not wrong, one had 30-40 pax and one had less than 5 when leaving the zoo. (Somehow I can't edit this into the previous post)
138 frequency has improved quite a bit, hence loading has spaced out. At the same time, main weekday loading for 138 comes from Springleaf, AMK North to AMK MRT.
Ive check svc 39 loadings for days and it only need 4 DDs the most during peak hours,Off peak loadings the KUBs can manage.85 meanwhile Citaro can handle.

my friend. keep posting. if you post something useful, no one here will pat on your back and say "hey you did a good job." If you post something incorrect, please wear a thick skin because you will be flamed, not by one but many people here.
So take it as if you don't have an opposing comment on your post, it is already good enough. I feel the loading analysis is very useful because you can sit behind a computer and say what you want. But when you ride a service and note the loading, that's when you really know what the pattern is.
So thanks for posting on sv 990 because I personally observed it from car but have not found the time lately to do loading analysis because of work. Since you are in the area, can you do sv 41 full route next?

Which part of the day did you take 990? I had only standing capacity to spare at night.
990 appears to have taken some pressure off 188 at IMM.

i tkae 990 four time till now. all after studyies between 500 and 630pm. not once bus full. highest peopl;e on bus 24 peop if i remem correctly. lowest was 12 peop on full bus.
Some service are purposely created to relieve loadings from certain service..990 off peak i cant deny its only 15 pax on average but peak hours sometimes you will see a few standees. Its on and off loading pattern..I took one during the 1820-1900 trips and can see a few standees with seats all taken up..True it cant beat the peak hour loadings of svc like 20,50 etc but again what more can we ask for?

990 route loading not good. took in peak hrs. shud extend to cck for better load. right now load poor. which svc can relieve 990 route? route unique but too smal to be well used. go to gambok to cck or hillview to bukit panjang. better la. too smal route. not good.
Remember 990 is to enhance Bt Batok residents..The bulim package include Bt Batok too..Go beyond Jurong East better.

(Note: There was 1 person with suitcase travelling from Punggol Int all the way to the airport)
Subsequently, I took sv 29 (KUB) to Tampines Int. Bus was pacjed to the door and a lot of people at Tampines North Primary School and St 41 couldn't board. I didn't do a loading analysis, though.
From the loading analysis, seems like at least 4-5 people were joyriding given that very few alighted near the looping point.
sv 34 loading continues to be outrageously high even after 4 BSEP buses added. I think time to introduce 34M with DDs from Punggol looping at Tampines Ave 7/PIE junction.
Sadly for Sundays and off peak,34 loadings seem to be poor as well
Originally posted by carbikebus:Sadly for Sundays and off peak,34 loadings seem to be poor as well
34 loading seems to be poor for Sunday and off-peak?? Please see what array has posted. Max loading was around 63pax. Very good for Sunday off-peak. If you observe this service on weekdays, already 70+ and people cannot board.
How often he observed?Thats a sensitive questions..
Originally posted by carbikebus:Sadly for Sundays and off peak,34 loadings seem to be poor as well
Sorry, I forgot to mention that it was on Saturday, 14 Feb, not on Sunday. I posted the loading analysis one day later.
Originally posted by carbikebus:Sadly for Sundays and off peak,34 loadings seem to be poor as well
I think you meant to say 34 loading very good for Sunday and off-peak.
Originally posted by carbikebus:How often he observed?Thats a sensitive questions..
I admit that I do not do loading analysis very often, so what I observed for sv 34 this time may not reflect the general pattern. However, it at least shows something about the loading of this service.

Hi mr array88, those bus services which have an 'A' after the main service shows that the number has loading high enough to justify. Or else they will not have an 'A'. Sbs 34 is one of them. Cheers.

After 2.5 years post introduction, loading during peak hours continues to be low. 27/28 pax peak loading. I evaluate the service looking at loading along Serangoon North as this is the unique sector. Loading remains below 25 pax.
sv 116 needs some re-routing to make it more usable. It would be great if it can ply Serangoon North Ave 1. This way residents along North ave 1 who have only 315 as an option, will get a faster alternative to MRT
sv 72 is still the preferred option. I saw at HG Ave 9, there was a 72 DD right behind 116. People for some reason preferred to choose the bus at back (or they are going further than HG MRT).
array, sbs7557r and proudtobeme - since you seem to have some interest in loading analysis, can you take 116 in peak hours and do the analysis. Not sure if I always find an unlucky empty 116. I expect the loading along serangoon north to be much higher.

i no live in houg area. i live tamp. i go study west. i can go on weekend but will not serve purpose. you want me look at loading for any east or west svc let me knw.
Was observing bus loadings along Pasir Ris Drive 1 for the past weeks.
Around 6:40am-7:20am every morning,
39, 53, 81, 109 (svcs which ply whole stretch of Drive 1) were all extremely packed to the door for both directions.
Pasir Ris got extra 25% of new citizens from Philippines,China and India thats why you see so crowded.
