Not really, there is this stretch along PSR Dr 1 (Elias Rd - PSR Town Park) with a SHITLOAD of new flats/condos.
PSR Dr 3 between DTE and Dr 4 also get a lot of condos up recently.

yes please. what you are reporting is ear-say, not facts. it is not true. i have capacity data for some towns through my work, and pasir ris does have new HDBs and condos come up - not necessarily from china, india and philippines.

Lets just say, that I do not want to explain why he specifically mention those three.....
took 292 at 0745
tam ave 2 (10 peop on bus, i only person to board) > tam st 22 (10 peop get down and 27 peop get in) > tam ave 2 (34 peop) > tam st 11 (70 +/- 2 on bus. near changkat club 5 peop cud not enter bus as full to step) > tam ave 5 (58 peop on bus before int. could be some error in calculating. but not major. 3 or 4 peop here and there)
this is to my point i make early on in the forum on svc 292. not used more by ave 2 resident but more of peop enter bus from housing block at street 11 and steeet 22.
peop like me who live on ave 2 prefer take svc 20 or svc 39 to tampines or also prefer take svc 20 to simei.
i hoping this help u undertsnad the point i make earlyon in this forum. thank u.
i take 292 again today at 620pm from int
tam int (63 peop board with queue have 3 peop who not board) > tam ave 5 (bus full at tam stadium few peop not able to board, next stop bc not open front door and 2 peop got down. in total have now 68 peop on bus) > tam ave 2 (48 peop on board when bus turn right to street 22) > tam st 22 (32 peop on bus but 24 peop from before so only 8 enter bus on 2 stops) > tam ave 5 (38 peop on board) > tam st 11 (21 peop get down at 2 stop on st 11. 29 peop on bus) > tam ave 5 (20 peop in bus before bus take right to int).
as u see there peop who do whole loop of st 22 and alight at st 11 because dun wan walk all way in. can 292 not be design to do st 11 twice. i know no right turn so big problem. but most load come from st 11 and st 22 peop living in block very in from ave 2.
overall bus have good load. i think one more bsep can have becauze ppeop cant board. both time am and pm, there were peop left behind. i wud not recommend double decker for such short route but if no fleet add, then convert 1 single decker to double decker. first do trial. if do okay make perm. good suggestion?
i delete and repost in video / photo thread.

There is a right turn into St 11 from both ends.... I think add 1 split-shift SD will be good enough for now.... Probably no new flats in its route, and Qiaonan Pri at St 11 closed down already.

yes i know. i mean to say that big problem that bus no take right turn to st 11 in both direction. my fault i type very fast so make structural mistake in typing. do u live in tamp area close to ave 2?
Onboard SMB56A (172PM05) that departed Boon Lay Int at 2025hrs (2 mins behind schedule). Bus was packed at the int and many could not board the bus...Bus had to skip stops along the way as it was already packed...but most of the pax alighted at the first bus stop along Old CCK RD and bus remained fully seated with a few standees until CCK INT (reached at 2102hrs)

They may not be from the mentioned countries.
i took svc 8 to tampines in am. got single decker. was full. got no place to sit until reg library. such bad luck day start with.
then i took svc 20 from tampines interchange. again got single decker. bad luck continue.
tampines int (46 peop. i first count 34 and know i wrong. then when bus start i stand and count again) > tamp av 5 (63 peop) > tamp av 2 (54 peop bef bus turn to simei) > simei road (59 peop) > simei st 1 (50 peop bef turn to st 3) > simei mrt (9 peop alight. do not hav accurate num on peop board but think it is around 30 peop but when i go to take mrt saw some peop could not board bus).
svc 20 have lot of crowd and see lot peop go to changi biz park now take svc 20 from tamp also. direct conexion. i hope get more double decker for svc 20 on s sift.
225G - 3721J with full upper deck @ 18.40 hours with 101 pax
Another 225G @ 18.25pm with 96 pax on board and full upper deck
I went to Bedok interchange to specially check on 225G loading and click pictures. This is maybe the 6th time I observe that buses on 225G (DDs) leave the interchange with almost full upper deck.
Please see above 2 pictures as pictures don't lie. I think this should put an end to people saying DDs on 225 are useless. I have said this before and say it now. Please go and observe yourself how well the DDs are getting used during peak hours, and how one DD clears the queue while SDs have pax left over.
Observed 4 DDs at 18.25 (3721J) = 96 pax, 18.40 (3682M) = 101 pax, 18.55 (3721J) = 86 pax, 19.06 (3682M) = 105 pax.
As you can see the 4 trips I observed in peak hour time between 18.20 and 19.10, on an average got 95 pax on bus.
I think its high time we stop complaining about upper decks not being used. If it can do so well on the shortest feeder in Singapore, I am sure it will do well on others as well. No wonder 225W got a BSEP DD add. I could not observe 225W but only can say queues were pretty long for 225W as well.
On the contrary two sv 18 buses I saw while entering and leaving interchange, both left Bedok interchange with 02 and 08 pax respectively. What a waste of resource!
SBS3721J ex perm 225 returns!

I typed a long essay just now but it was lost due to a technical error... Anyway, my points are:
1. Sv 18's loading was not bad before Bedok Int opened because of the bus stop at Bedok town centre. Also many people take 18 from Ave 2 towards Tampines during PM.
2. IMO there have to be some services which may not have good loadings but provide unique links/connections.
3. IMO, not all feeders or services functioning like feeders are suitable for DDs: it all depends on the habits of the commuters.
Svc 18 loadings is better than before but not till the extend like heavy loadings..Still dependable svc else would have been amended or chopped long time ago

I know that... my point was to illustrate full upper deck and carrying 90+ pax... as many of you including you said 225 should not have DDs... This is just to say if you see loading.. and how it clears the loads... it definitely justifies DDs.. If only SDs you will see very long queues... and people will complain.
