For the most accurate recordings, the best time to record loadings of buses is during peak hours, between Monday and Thursday. That is usually when buses experience the highest loadings and usually, the recordings best represent travel patterns and which bus stops are the most utilised.
Sorry - I should have stated this was on Friday morning... I normally state the date, missed it over here. Thanks for pointing out. Even I don't wake up that early on Sunday.
* These days have been very busy so get time to post things only on Sunday but my plus makes it easy to store loading data in notes *
Weekday peak hours don't always have the highest loadings. Go find 116 on a Saturday. There will be full buses. Weekday off-peak also very inconsistent. Sometimes empty, sometimes so full that people can't board anymore.

During weekday peak hours, loading at Punggol East will obviously be low because nobody is going to visit the malls there.. And residents in Punggol East already have sv 3, 50, 83, 85 and LRT so there's no need for sv 386 (except those closer to bus stops along Edgedale Plains, but sv 386 is still too windy). But on weekends you may see Waterway residents going to Punggol East to go shopping etc... Just some predictions

Hi mr array88, not everybody requests can be satisfied. The extension to Punggol east was 1) at the request of residents further inside to connect to restaurant/shops at plaza and east along tebing lane(Riveria LRT) where there are many F & B. and 2) at the request of punggol central elderly residents to connect to their own children who bought those newer blocks near the waterway. So the extension helps serve dual purposes. However the loading is expected to be minimal for these purposes. Cheers.
43/43M is getting quite good traction from Buangkok Green to Buangkok MRT these days. So looks like some preferring going backwards to avoid the NEX crowd in AM. May also be to do with getting seats at Buangkok compared to NEX.
Loading on sv 285 @ 8.10am from Clementi Interchange 3380J
Clementi Interchange -- 66
Clementi Ave 3 -- 76 (0/10)

West Coast Rd -- 28 (0/28), 45 (17/0), 72 (27/0)
Clementi Ave 2 -- 69 (-3/0)
Commonwealth Ave West -- 59 (-10/0)
* Was not surprised with the load of 285 to Pandan. Almost 90% of people who boarded at Clementi, alighted at Pandan industrial area
* Return journey, just 3 stops > 70 pax (inspite of P variant and 78)
* There was a SD right behind this DD when I alighted at Clementi MRT
285 just need 2 extra DDs split shift for the Pandan Ind paxs,Normal times its sufficient with their current fleets.334 & 335 need another full day buses.

335??? seriously no need... already more than enough capacity with 2 BSEP adds.

The 2 bsep is full or split shift buses ah bro?
334 needs 1 standby SD to clear "leftover load at JE Int. Maybe BC can just pick pax and EDS to OS while serving route. OS back to int after no pax on bus.
If not, add a crossover slot at weekdays 7.12pm, 7.09 shift change to 7.07 so buses in this order(based on Screen timing): 7.01(bus usually depart at 7.03 which was previous timing before idk why change to 7.0) 7.07 (New bus depart at 7.09 usually) 7.12 (Xover shift) 7.16
So 9DDs(or 8?) and 1xover right?
-Xover should be an SD
- 1x trip weekday

335 I say add 1 full day. Improve the freq. Make add a Citaro.

I think 334 should have fleet of 10 DDs. Add one BSEP DD. No SDs please!! There is always leftover queue in PM for 334. Each bus leaves interchange with 90+ pax. But that is okay coz next bus comes in 5-6 mins.
i take 291 today to c response of bus at tamp int. got DD.
7:52am - i jus miss 291 double decker
7.54am - i get double decker again. i take.
tamp int (6) > tamp av 7 (6) > tamp st 21 (6, 6, 6) > tamp st 32 (5, 8) > tamp st 33 (10, 15, 28) > tamp st 32 (29) > tamp st 21 (33, 40, 43) > tamp av 7 (37)
there was double decker ahead which it meet bumper to bumper at tamp mart. from there both double decker go together but this double decker where i sit, no overtake double decker in front but keep safe distance. only spill passenger enter except at st 21 when people wait for double decker at back so i think doubnle decker in front very pack. this was report during am journey peak to mrt. on way to tamp st 33 but totally empty. no person board exceot 6 at int.

this loading before bsep add or after? both direction nice load.
BA always lucky,Everytime do survey sure many paxs even at Interchange..Maybe LTA should custom order the articulate double decker so we wont see anymore overcrowding..
Let me explain the way I do loading analysis
- I post loading observation only on services I take during peak hours (both AM and PM peak)... this is so that I understand the peak hour load... bus upgrades/additions are made keeping peak load in mind, and not weekend/off-peak loading
- I will most of the times post loading of a route that I cover at least 80% of the route... if I just do one part of the route... it may not be a good indicator as the bus might get full later.. and the DD deployed at that timing might be for the part of the route you do not take... its not productive to then assume that DD was not worth it on that timing.. just like we observed recently someone posted 187 DD loading only between Lakeside and Jurong East Ave 1... when the loading can be pretty high between Bukit Batok to Bukit Panjang that was not captured
I hope this explains =)
Loading observation on sv 122 from Tiong Bahru road @ 08.15am
Tiong Bahru Rd -- 15, 16 (-2/3), 13 (-8/5) @ Tiong Bahru Plaza
Lower delta Rd -- 14 (-1/2)
Alexandra Road -- 8 (-6/0), 7 (-1/0), 7 (0/0)
Tanglin Road -- 5 (-2/0) I alighted here...
* I am in direction opposite to the peak loading... so wasn't really expecting high loading
990 load still less la.. how 983 and 301 load?
Didn't take down any exact stats but just observations.
Rode sv200 today between 6-7 pm on a Citaro (6769C) from KRT to BNV MRT. There were two sectors along the ride where sv200 received almost full pax loading.
The first stretch was along Pasir Panjang Rd up till Haw Par Villa MRT. Standees that led to the entrance door of the bus. Demand returned to low after Haw Par Villa MRT. To be fair, the slightly higher demand along this stretch could be attributed to the arrival of bus sv along Pasir Panjang Rd. In this case, sv200 arrived before the other sv that ply the same stretch (sv10/30/51/143/188), thus the slightly higher demand.
The second stretch was from South Buona Vista Rd to Buona Vista MRT. The peak boarding stops were outside LP 37 and LP 49 along South Buona Vista Rd respectively. The bus left LP 49 packed to the door. I was expecting most pax to get off at Kent Ridge MRT (I.E. the nearest MRT station), but the majority stayed up till Buona Vista MRT.
After looking up on the developments near the two peak boarding stops along South Buona Vista Rd, it is realized that these 2 stops are located near industrial buildings (namely Cordlife, PPD Global Central Labs, Bio-Scaffold Intl and Aibel Pte Ltd) in S'pore Science Park II.
This shows that quite a number of workers in S'pore Science Pk II prefer to take sv200 from South Buona Vista Rd to BNV MRT instead of sv183 from Science Park Rd to Clementi MRT.

My previous observation (I don't know if I have posted) is the same. The bus can receive more than 60 pax from LP37 and LP49...
I guess the reason why people do not alight at Kent Ridge is:
- The bus stop opposite Kent Ridge MRT exit B is inconvenient. From there, if you want to take CCL, you have to either walk to Exit A along Lower Kent Ridge Rd, or walk to a pedestrian crossing at the junction (which is far), cross the road and walk back to Exit B, enter, then either walk through the entire station to go down to platform via the only escalators/stairs near Exit A, or use the tiny little lift at the other end of the concourse nearer to Exit B (which can be very very crowded during peak hours). You can see how lousy it is.
- They can take EWL at Buona Vista but cannot do so at Kent Ridge. Even if they're taking CCL, they can still board at Buona Vista instead of Kent Ridge, and additional traveling time on sv 200 is insignificant (unless there's traffic jam). For the direction towards Bishan/Dhoby Ghaut, it doesn't make much difference; for the direction towards HarbourFront, the demand is not so high.

Hi mr sbs6750E, some areas inside rivervale drive and rivervale crescent are not covered by LRT. Furthermore, sbs 371 is more convenient to them. They have guaranteed seats. Much better to jostle with huge crowds at sengkang LRT platforms for those places where both LRT and Sbs 371 serve. Cheers. Thanks.
service 4 got packed to door at tampines av 7 toward flora. do private bus still operate? i got feel that all private bus people move to sv 4 look at how crowd it is even on weekend.
Bukit Batok Int - 34
Svc 990 loadings got slight improvement nowadays,Been observing for 3 days and several times see either 3/4 or fully seated loadings..301 still shy shy,Average is around 20 odd pax while 983 A22s can get standees at Interchange
