Svc 4 need an additional split shift/TQ bus for weekdays and weekends respectively..
Svc 20 still going strong for now..Svc 21 need to convert 2 SDs to 2 DDs and Svc 168 need to cut 1 split shift bus..Getting bunching almost everytime

I was at CCK at 5.15pm yesterday, 301 loading was somehow good, either nearly fully seated or some standees. Didn't see 983 at all, but 300 still had very strong loading and bendies are still full

At Toh Guan Rd, 2 DDs bunched together with one fully seated (with some standees), and the other one 75% seated; some time later another Citaro passed by quite packed (Surprisingly, after this Citaro exited Tog Guan Rd East, there are still at least 20 pax waiting at the bus stops there - were they unable to board or are they still unaware of sv 41's route?)- I think it's time to stop saying 990 has extremely low loadings or is a waste of resources. This may not be so high but I think it's good enough, given that it provides unique links and benefit the residents in many ways- I wanted to do loading analysis on sv 41 after this, but couldn't due to time constraints, so I took 183 instead.. By the way, sv 189 has very low loading from Clementi MRT to Clementi Ave 1 during evening peak, only 11 pax onboard a bendy after Clementi MRT
but u urself say 2 bus behind with less than 5 pax. mean this bus u take too late, so full. i take 990 many time till now. load okay around 20 to 30 pax.
i take 301 yesterday at evening 6.20
queue having 12 pax only. but thne many peop from other come run to bus. at cck have 38 pax. go cck way 36 pax. cck ave 2 hav 22 pax. cck ave 3 sunshine plaza i get down have 17 pax go to cck av 5.
max pax on bus {38}
load ery good for 301 considerng it new service.

Has anyone noticed that 107 loading during peak hours has increased quite a bit. Between Lavendar and Potong Pasir, you can see DDs full (packed to door in some cases). SDs are also over-loaded.
This is a new development... 107 was doing just about okay until few months back... but in last 2 months... loading has been on the rise... any idea why!?
Opposite direction buses are close to empty though.

107's loading between lavender and potong pasir has always been that high because of the kallang industrial sectors
Problem of 107 is the whole route except this high loading sector. Maybe this is the sole reason that 107 DDs are still there.
I had work with a business partner in Jurong and went to observe 334 but instead took 335 @ 18.20 hours
Jurong East Interchange -- 32
Jurong Gateway -- 38 (0/6)
Jurong East Central -- 51 (0/13) peak loading
Jurong Townhall Rd -- 50 (-3/2), 40 (-10/0), 28 (-12/0)
Boon Lay Way -- 47 (-4/23), 46 (-3/2), 44 (-4/2), 40 (-6/2)
Jurong West St 51 -- 39 (-4/3)
Jurong West St 52 -- 24 (-15/0), 20 (-4/0) only service to ply st 52 but not even one person boarded
Jurong West Ave 1 -- 17 (-5/2), 18 (-3/4), 16 (-5/3)
Jurong West St 41 -- 17 (-1/2), 16 (-3/2), 14 (-2/0), 14 (0/0)
Jurong West St 51 -- 15 (-1/2)
Boon Lay Way -- 16 (-1/2), 18 (-2/4), 16 (-4/2), 8 (-11/3) peak loading on way back
Jurong Townhall Rd -- 12 (0/4), 14 (-2/4), 16 (0/2)
Jurong East Central -- 08 (-8/0)
** Few observations - definitely there is catchment between Jurong East and Townhall rd (alternative 66) but unique loading between Chinese Garden and Jurong West st 52/Ave 1
** Surprised to see there were almost no takers for Jurong St 41 from Chinese Garden. Does this mean, people have moved to 49 and prefer to take 49 now to st 41.
** On st 41, very few people boarded 335 but at each of the first 3 stops on st 41 there were 4-5 people left behind, who were waiting for 49 instead. At last stop, there was no one
Other observations at JE Interchange
> After BSEP additions on 334, queue has become quite short. 3 DDs observed each carried 72, 62, 74 pax at 18.04, 18.07, 18.11
> 333 observed leaving interchange at 17.57 and 18.18 left with 11 and 8 people on board respectively (there were 2 more 333s that passed by in between but could not count pax as was near 334 queue, but with naked eye observation, did not have more than 10-15 pax on board)
107 current fleet is ok,The loading very unstable on and off..Thats why you still see why so many SDs..Sometimes one full route is not even fully seated
Just so happened that I did a loading observation for sv107:

**More or less agreed that the bulk of its demand comes from Kallang Bahru area (at least 24 pax all together from Kallang Bahru/Geylang Bahru), followed by Beach Rd (12 pax).
**A few pax took sv107 from the Shenton Way area to travel to Beach Rd as per observations.
SMRT 951E @ First stop :
7:11am(BC starts trip early as usual ._.) : Roughly the same as before, more than 10 pax boarding the first DD..
7:24am : Only about <5 pax boarding the DD...quite unusual

You should observe 951E at Dhoby Ghaut. The DDs turn from Buyong road with +100 pax on board, on both 850E and 951E.

Your observation has missed the most high loading stop for 107 - Lavendar station. This stop has around 30-35 pax boarding 107 at that time which makes the service have DDs.

Not needed..just a observation that surprised me..
Usually both trips will have roughly the same loading at first stop..
It's linked..
Spotted SMB3540Z on 951E @ 7:20am(First stop) ; SMB3524X on 951E(spotted it along Ave2/St81 as OFF) @ 7:24am(First stop)..
Which probably explained why SMB3524X only got <5 pax boarding...and probably fleet add due to high demand.
First trip usually 7:11am.

Usually I spot the first bus start 7:11am(SMB3525T), then second bus at 7:19am(SMB3540Z) and thrid bus at 7:24am(SMB3524X).

Can u all do an observation for Service 850E? I very curious from where the passengers board which results in sometimes even I can't board the bus early morning eventhough they have deploy DDs...
All, a record 48 people boarded sbs 116 ( SBS 6326Y) at Hougang interchange at 9pm today 21-05-2015. Cheers.

Go AM peak 6.30-8am and see 116. Somewhat inconsistent loading

The trend is like this, you put high freq SDs ppl will take but find other alternatives, but when you deploy DDs ppl will changed their mind and take it instead because the boarding percentage is still high,I ever try a fully packed 190 DD and manage to board it despite a bit squeezy
Originally posted by SBS 9256 X:Can u all do an observation for Service 850E? I very curious from where the passengers board which results in sometimes even I can't board the bus early morning eventhough they have deploy DDs...
Where do you board 850E? This was a loading analysis I did two months back. Maybe some pattern has changed since then but since I have it on my ipad, i'll share it here.
Ave 11 - 19 pax
Ave 6 - 28, 34, 41
Ring Road - 51, 60, 70 (stop before ave 11. I got down here as I had to go for my breakfast meeting in Yishun)
So 3rd stop on Ring road bus already had 70 pax. If MANA22, no chance anyone can board... but for E500 pax on remaining stops should have been able to board, unless yours is last stop before express to city.
