On weekdays PM, I feel the sv 67 DD timings are not right. They depart Tampines Interchange back to back at an interval of 07-08 mins from 18.30 to 19.00 hours. So basically by the time it reaches Geylang / Little India, the high loading sector, it is already off peak. Further more, when it reaches Bukit Timah / Upper Bukit Timah, it is already 8pm+
Order from Tampines Interchange starting from 5.30pm
SD --> BD --> SD --> BD --> SD --> SD --> DD --> DD --> DD --> SD --> SD --> BD
* The DDs in bold should actually leave around 5.30pm from Tampines to cater to peak hour Geylang, Little India crowd towards Bukit Timah.

Why not SD -> BD -> SD -> BD -> SD -> DD -> SD -> DD -> SD -> DD -> SD -> BD? Actually, Svc 67 by the time reaches Bukit Timah / Upper Bukit Timah, as it is already 8pm, it becomes off peak. The crowd do stretches out and I hope it does not become svc 190 saga once again. Anyway, DTL Stage 2 is opening on 27 Dec 2015.
Loading on sv 35 @ 17.20 from Tanah Merah MRT 3349
Tanah Merah MRT -- 21
Xilin Ave -- 21 (0/0), 22 (0/1), 22 (-1/1)
Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal -- 01 (-21/0) there were some who wanted to board bus but BC did not allow. They didnt know looks like its going to go to Alps though EDS stated. I was only pax on board.
Changi Coast -- 01 (0/0)
Alps Ave -- 07 (0/6), 07 (0/0), 12 (0/5), 13 (0/1)
Changi Coast -- 13 (0/0)
Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal -- 35 (0/22)
Xilin Ave -- 49 (0/14), 82 (0/33), 85 (0/3)
Tanah Merah MRT -- I alighted here and I think so did 90% of the bus
** Now here is something interesting to note: the bus had only 13 pax in Alps.. main load came from Xilin.. assume bus not extended to Alps... yet would have 72 (85-13) pax on board... this is after enhanced frequency of 11 buses... and there was a bus every 06-08 mins
** So basically sv 35 needed DDs inspite of Alps extension
** Alps Ave have many shuttle buses, and seems like people still prefer the shuttle bus, what else could explain such low loading at Alps(?)
** No wonder so many DDs were deployed all at once! Surprisingly, SBST did not upgrade SDs to DDs on this service
** Sequence of buses in opposite direction: SD --> SD --> DD --> SD --> DD --> SD --> DD --> DD (this is the one I am in) --> DD --> SD --> SD --> SD (sequence starts repeating from here!) --> SD --> DD {the back to back DDs are planned for Xilin Ave crowds from 5.30pm to 6.30pm}
** The circuit from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to Alps and back to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal takes a good 24 minutes. It is quite far. The stretch parallel to airport is fun as you can see planes taking off really close.

What do you mean by "the crowd do stretches out"
onboard bus 35 double decker to alps.. would say the demand is good, especially the alps workers.. i still remember long ago 35 before alps (to tanah merah ferry only) use to have non-aircon double decker, and there's olympian aircon bus too but cannot remember the demand if that high..
i surprise to see low load at alps but good load overall. i think 35 get bsep fleet add but citaro this time. in future upgrade this bsep to dd also can.
how bus deploy in your opinion? take example for pm peak from 5'45 to 6'30 pm wih 06 bus depart at 06-08 min frequency.
pattern1 - dd -> sd -> dd -> sd -> dd -> sd
pattern2 - sd -> sd -> dd -> dd -> dd -> sd
The sequence is just a guideline,Traffic condition and other factors you all should take note also..Commuters are unpredictable,Give them 3 DDs from 1720-1734 they sway sway wait for 1741 which is half full single deckers and complains will start coming in

I believe the reason why 35 did not get DDs in the past is because of Tanah Merah Coast road which was once narrow and had low lying trees. At the start of the year when I went there, road widening work was going on. Now as road widening is completed, 35 can finally receive DDs.
Onboard 225G at Bedok 07.20 am KUB.. bus left 02 mins after BSEP Citaro left interchange
Bedok Interchange -- 02
Bedok North Ave 1 -- 02 (0/0), 02 (0/0)
Bedok North St 3 -- 06 (0/4), 13 (0/7), 19 (-2/8) BSEP Citaro just ahead bunched, 38 (0/18) BSEP Citaro skipped this stop
Bedok North Ave 2 -- 51 (0/13) BSEP Citaro did pick up pax on this stop but surely had many leftovers!, 64 (-3/16)
** After I alighted in 04 mins, there was 225G WEG that came housefull. Counted # pax alighting = 84 (note there was sv 18 that came in between with around 30 pax on board)
** 2 buses back to back must have carried around 70 + 64 pax = 134 pax. Wow!!
225G is forever high loading because no other bus svc suppliment the inner part of the estate bus stops that they plied,If there is a trunk compliment im sure no need DDs also.
High loading on TIB1105H on Service 187 at Bukit Panjang Road (About 110 passengers including myself)

20 need to boost their peak hour frequencies to an average of 6 mins per bus so that Single deckers is still relevant..Sometimes waiting times can be over 12 mins due to traffic conditions and after the front SD has taken all the loads,There will be DD and SD within 2 mins apart.Off peak is justified with single deckers not to mention Weekends..

I think 10 min frequency is just about okay. But need some more SD to DD slot conversions. Feel 5 DDs, 6 SDs will be good enough. Moreover, I do expect some load sharing once CBP Terminal is operational as you will have new services in Changi Business Park area. Possible connection to Tanah Merah MRT as well

Weekday peak hours those commuters always shove each other upon boarding,Ever seen Chinaman fighting with a local because of shoving incident

i take svc 20 frequent from tamp int to my home or simei mrt to my home. no taken it beyond simei mrt so gud read this loading. i hav to say but svc 20 big boon to tamp ave 2 resident. dun need to rely on svc 292 winding now. can take svc 20 or svc 39. more dd ofcourse nice but will they give is question. i can no say as bus ok with sd in tamp simei town but as ur load say need for business park looks like.

6 SDs and 5 DDs,2 DDs run normal time and 3 on split shift but again svc 20 only had 2 split duties.
Today 333 KUB almost fully seated at 7.30 pm before Ton Guan towards Jurong East Temp Int. A total of around 10 pax alighted at Toh Guan before IMM, while only 3-4 boarded. More than half of the remaining pax alighted at IMM. So 333 seems more like an intra-town service instead of feeder...
As my working area is located at Alps Ave, I'm one of the frequent commuter who takes svc 35.
Imho, during the morning peak hours, DDs should be deployed as the loading can be quite heavy after the Bedok stn b/s.

Yes, I know. What I meant were the timings of the DDs deployment.

So after 35 working hours how do you get to and go back from work?They should extend the timings for ALPS or introduce a service from Changi Village to loop there

maybe the route i suggest would be much useful especially for airport and cargo workers..
CV Terminal > Telok Paku Road > Changi Coast Rd > ECP > Airport Terminals 1-3 and back
(maybe the 2nd one can help a bit of bus 35?) and also operate full days including weekends
