i think you have got something wrong here. 47 is correct. 85 I think you meant 70% SD, 30% DD. In reality 85 is 42% DD, 58% SD. Both 117 and 118 wrong as well.
67 loading has dropped along Bukit Timah road. Loading picks up between Upper Bukit Timah and CCK
171 still has some loading between Marina Center and Dunearn road, but loading drops towards BPJ and picks up again towards Yishun.
961 loading quite poor between Lor 1 and Chinatown. Loading is high from Chinatown all the way up to Ferrar Road MRT. Again loading picks up between Mandai Estate and Woodlands.
67 loading has got to do with 15 bendies, already becoming the next 190, jams and scarce-face.
Meanwhile,Saw a full 979 DD at BPJ towards CCK today
now seeing a full 118 leaving TP towards Punggol. feel that 118 need more buses now.

This morning after CGH bus stop,A few of the buses travel at a very slow speed
Sv 90/90A buses are full even for their 845am-915am departure.. even for DDs (with many paxes on upper deck).. tot by this time, buses should be quite empty....

Usually demand drops after 845am. Not analysed for long time, but when I did maybe a year ago, saw the main peak loading came from 740am to 840am - one hour when every bus gets around 50-70 pax departing from Toa Payoh, depending on sv 8 departure as well, which equally gets 50-70 pax on each bus. After 840am, the loading quite drops with around 30-50 pax per bus (again because sv 8 still continues to operate at high frequency).
sv 8 AM frequency is around 06 mins, and sv 90/90A operates at around 08 mins. So there is a bus every 03-04 mins to Macpherson.

i saw so many times at ST andrew's area at roughly that timing.... sv8 also got lot of paxes.. this timing should have less paxes unless they start work at 930am or 10am...
Maybe LTA should look into those heavy loading svc instead of dumping DDs on svc that only packed by few trips during peak hours..Svc 8 need majority or even full DDs.
21 also,51 still got 5-6 SDs.
I see svc 5 also quite packed but have around 10 SDs. 65 got 1 SD idk why.

5 needs more DDs... 51 has 8 SDs (but okay since loading has dropped)... 21 has 12 SDs still in its fleet (think it is too high!)... 8 is okay because of the high frequency operating between 05-07 mins during peak hours.

65 got 1 SD? Just for fun I think. Maybe it is so that if the BCs ask for a particular bus model (e.g. Scania K230UB) for one day, they do not need to do capacity downgrade?
Originally posted by Sbs6750E:That 1 SD on 65 is fleet add….
no it is not. It was a DD->SD downgrade a year back.

But at least still okay rather than 960 which got 7-8 SDs

960 still got high loading? Recently haven't seen the buses packed. Which area of 960 do you see high loading?
I know on Sundays Tekka to Sg Kadut side will be packed on rigid,DDs n bendies hence the extra PM duties for 960 plus crossover from 925 Saturday also have extra PM duties for 960. 67 also have theirs too

You go and try yourself especially during PHs and weekends
Originally posted by carbikebus:You go and try yourself especially during PHs and weekends
If it is PH/weekends, no problem right. Have so many services that don't need DDs... can just have weekend deployment on 960. Was asking weekday.

* Average loading on sv 49 was around 30-40 pax. Loading b/w Jurong East and Corporation Estate is strictly SD loading in both directions.
* DD worthy loading is between Lakeside MRT and Corporation/Taman Jurong
* Is 334 still preferrable option for JW St 42 residents? JW St 41 had I think only 2 pax from Lakeside MRT, though on return leg did get few pax
* In previous observations, AM peak from JW Estate to Lakeside gets around 70 pax, but somehow none of the PM observations get heavy loading towards JW St 42. So preference in AM is go Lakeside, PM is take bus from Jurong East / Chinese Garden?
i read so much on frankel so take 32 this morning from bdk at 745
bdk interchange (8), new upp changi rd (11, 13), changi rd (17, 20), frankel av (21, 22, 24, 25), east coast rd (26, 23, 24, 25) i get down bef still rd.
return journey 818 from aft still rd
east coast rd (15, 15, 17, 17), frankel av (18, 19, 20, 21), sims av east (20, 21), new upp changi rd (20, 17)
i saw most landed house. very nice car in area. look most peop have car here. bus in both dir got no more than 20-25 peop in frankel area. that too in 4 stop of frankel only 10-12 peop board, other go east coast rd - bdk.
now i kno why only 1 serv do frankel. i take tom 40 to see bdk-siglap.

40's loading will be similar. Main source will be between Bedok to Katong part of East Coast Rd. Siglap Rd loading will mostly come from Flamingo Valley. May have loading from Global Indian International Sch at that time as well.
For 32 you missed loading for St Stephen's Sch at La Salle St (along Frankel Av).
And yes, Frankel largely landed-property. I agree having only 1 service is justifiable. But we cannot have routes for the sake of having them. 32 is quite useless because it doesn't connect Kembangan MRT. Only good for going Katong and does not connect amenities on Marine Parade. Very few residents from Frankel will go Bedok. Siglap Rd at least has 401 on weekends.
If you have time, go try 42 from Opposite Kembangan Stn during evening peak hour. Most demand will be to Opera Estate. Very few going to Siglap Rd or Siglap Dr. Compare to morning which will have higher demand between Siglap Dr to Kembangan because 42 is only one-way to Kembangan MRT. You will also see a lot more pax going into Kembangan Estate because got a lot of condo plus HDB.
32 should just ply Telok Kurau. Katong-Bedok still intact where most demand is. Then new service from Kembangan to Marine Parade via Frankel. Frankel Av still got only 1 service but at least more useful than 32, plus sure got demand from Kembangan to Marine Parade.
