SBS6499G and SBS3448Z on 43M bunched at Buangkok Green. SBS3448Z was behind SBS6499G. Someone flagged SBS3448Z at bus stop 66491 but it skipped the bus stop and overtook SBS6499G.
While 2 buses bunching is a common sight, I feel that this one is quite unusual: SBS3973Z and SBS3151D on 502 bunched together at Blk 347 bus stop at 1:15pm, two DDs plied on back to back slots.

Express svc bunching is very rare..

True though, but last night saw another unusual bunching. I saw 2 518 buses (a Scania and Citaro) bunched at Tampines Ave 7 late at about 0025hrs~ yesterday.
Lol..another sv502 bunching. Seen at least 2-3 times though.
Sv168 tends to bunch up a lot eh? Early morning 6:47am and there's 2 WEG arriving WRI together(Sat Morning)

sv 168 bunching is very common. Earlier 2 DD bunching was common, now even 3 DDs coming together is a usual sight.
168 is operating at 05-07 mins frequency during peak hours. It is so easy to bunch given there is crash loading at SAFRA, Century Square, Tampines MRT, Regional Library, bef TPE stop. During peak hours, you need 2 DDs to clear the crowd bef bus reaches TPE. 2 DDs coming together helps distribute loading to 70-80 pax per bus.
In spite of the awesome frequency, buses departing WRI also leave with 60-70 pax per bus. If a bus is delayed, can expect 100 pax on first bus, 50 pax on the next.
43/43M bunching is so common and irritating at NEX. Typically 43M DD comes right after 43 SD/DD has called NEX. Spotted multiple times 43M DD getting only 20-30 pax departing NEX and since there is a bus right in front, it heads to Punggol with 10-15 pax through its journey. Really waste of resources.
My recommendation is to have 43M full fleet SD with 6 SDs, while transferring the 3 DDs to do full route of 43.
4 sv 72 DDs bunched at Darul Ghufran Mosque(first stop after Tamp Inter) at about 440pm today.
Think that SBST can consider increase frequency of 72 and more downroutes at ITE Central, rather than spamming buses doing the full trip.
502 bunching not very rare, seen it quite a number of times. Though it has never been 2 DD 502

Agreed,In fact those short distance swt M variants should have full SDs.
...
VO3Xs almost always move like snails as the schedule is not tight enough. In fact, 'snail buses', buses ahead of schedule by 10-20 mins, buses intentionally slowing down at traffic lights, and buses stopping for ridiculously long at bus stops is becoming more common.
It was SBST's fault for restricting the 1st gear of Citaros. Even SMRT's Voith Citaros can keep up to schedules which are tighter than SBST's schedules.
P.S. No wonder 27 has cameos so often... And bunching has been more common since the mass-redeployment of Citaros.

do u have to post the same things 4-5 time in different threads????
the restriction of 1st gear of citaros does not have to do with bunching....pls do not anyhow whack....

Sometimes I do observe 43M DD come in front of 43 SD at NEX, and both are packed to the door...

While 4 DDs bunching is really a waste, please take note that 72's demand does not only come from ITE. There are crowds such as Tampines Ave 6/9 residents, Tampines Industrial Park workers, Tampines Road workers, Hougang Ave 9 residents etc.

This is common enough during off-peak hours, not to mention peak hours. And only 1 DD appears from 6pm to 7pm on weekdays at NEX.

Agree.

There are always exception situations. Wouldn't change the scenario if it was a 43DD and 43M SD instead.
EXTREME SERVICE 116 WEEKDAY OFF-PEAK BUNCHING!
SBS8980U and SBS8981S entered at Hougang Central Interchange at almost the same time. SBS8980U was 15 minutes behind schedule and had to depart right when the bus entered the interchange.

I've seen 502 bunching before but that was the first time I ever see 502 (or any express svc) DDs bunching together, somemore it is during AM off peak
On 969..
SMB3547E departed Opp Admiralty Stn at around 1734hrs.. About 1 minute later (after SMB3547E), SMB3602D and SMB5044B bunched together..
Seems like the DDs aren't deployed properly..
Spotted 2 sv 183 DDs towards Jurong East Interchange at 6.30pm both carrying about 80-100 pax.
EXTREME SVC 116 BUNCHING AT SERANGOON NORTH! Approx. 1 p.m.
SBS8980U and SBS8981S bunched at Serangoon North towards Hougang. Apparently, nobody else noticed SBS8981S behind. I was the only one who boarded SBS8981S, while everyone squeezed on SBS8980U.

Traffic conditions..Even svc 81 also bunched.
179 upto 4 DDs bunching very common.
1st bus - 70 to 75 pax
2nd bus - 60 to 70 pax
3rd bus - 40 to 50 pax
4th bus - 20 to 30 pax
* Don't really see a 179 bursting given its super frequency.
