No place. Any place apart from MRT area is futile for bus terminal/interchange.

Hi mr boy20, Simei definitely no need. There are 3 nearby. Bedok bus interchange, tampines and the upcoming nearby changi business park. Simei at present rides on the bus services connecting them to tampines which have plenty of bus services. Cheers.
I think Kusu island need taxi stand.
Pulau Ubin needs a bus terminal.
can use Sentosa's open-top DD. retain RU plate.

pulau ubin bus terminal? wahh, can be built just a small space for midibus and van parking with a simple bus stop beside the Pulau Ubin Ferry stop as is not possible to have 12m bus running around there as it has narrow dirt tstreet and high terrains. for midibuses only some road (eg. part of jalan jelutong is wide enough for midibus) can acess, for the narrow street like jalan ketan and most road in that place can acessible by small van. haha.
Use optare bus pls, no rosa...

Seletar will need an interchange and an MRT station (maybe Seletar Line) when it's developed into a town in the future. But for now, really no need.

Well, we really need an MRT that continue from the proposed Pasir Ris - Punggol (Cross Island Line) to Yishun and beyond. Problem is Seletar Airport and Seletar Reservoir is in the way, and 969/39 will lose out

There was such a plan in Concept Plan 2001 (though it's outdated and many lines planned have changed). In the tender document of planning of Cross Island Line, feasibility of extending the Punggol branch is also studied. So there's a high possibility that it will become a separate line from Changi all the way to Yishun, Sembawang or Woodlands in future.

The location for Yew Tee is to enable services that may be extended there to serve almost the whole CCK North. Most services if extended to serve Yew Tee is most likely to enter from CCK side. Using Svc 67, 188 and 190 as examples, 67 can ply the full CCK Way, 188 can ply CCK Way, CCK North 6, CCK Dr (YT MRT), CCK North 7 and CCK Way, and 190 can ply CCK Dr (YT MRT), CCK North 7 and CCK Way. This way, Limbang Shopping Centre, Kranji Sec, Kranji Camp(s) and its surrounding area can be served to its full potential. Any Sungei Kadut bound services in the future if serving CCK North should terminate at CCK Int
Btw, I got the road wrong, terminating stop should be CCK Way (beside Kranji Camp III)

I hope that theres a new bus terminal(Like Upp East Coast style) at MBS for Marina Ctr replacement..Marina South Pier also can built a terminal..Shenton way can demolish.
Kranji can make a big terminal for layover and changing shift..Yew Tee.
Bishan need a bigger bus interchange..Others so far so good.A bit OT…
SBST just need another bus park around NorthEast area in future..There is Bidadari,Buangkok coming up and a new depot to hold 400 buses for replacement of Ayer Rajah..Telok Blangah heavy vehicle park is a good choice.
cbb bro, bus parks is your favorite topic right? :)))
Originally posted by carbikebus:Nope..but without depot and bus parks where are they going to park those extra buses?
SBST already has many...
Loyang/BNDEP/CGBP in the east is good enough
AMDEP/BRBP/HGDEP in the central/north east
SLBP/BBDEp/ARBP in the west
Will Bulim be shared between SMRT & SBST?
ARBP can go to be replaced by a bigger bus park for sure.
HGDEP should get a supplementary bus park considering the # of development around Buangkok/Sengkang/Punggol area
Old Hougang South Int can be converted into an a/c terminal with facilities such as a convenience store, a canteen and proper resting facilities.. The new terminal will benefit ppl going to Malaysia via Kovan and also commuters taking public buses. There isnt any/enough proper resting facilities like eg. to sit for people waiting for Svcs 112,113,115 and 119 and also the buses to Malaysia. It would be good if this is implemented. The BCs of 115 can also use a proper bus terminal facility instead of using the coffeeshop toilets / portable toilets. Then Berths can be erected to let ppl queue for Svcs 112,113,115 and 119 also as the human traffic at the bus stop is quite high. The upgraded terminal can also allow ppl to host events in an airconditioned facility. I will feedback this to the relevant authorities soon. I have seen ppl coming back from Malaysia and rushing to take 113 with their luggages.
