I am NOT a small kid. Watch your tongue. Can't you take a joke? Judging from this post, obviously not. I don't want to do anything about you hating 3-axle LOs or N113CRBs, I can't even be bothered to change your mindset. By your asking me to leave, if I were to follow your "advice" and quit I would be visualised as a loser, so ALL THE MORE I will stay.
I believe all AMDEP 3-axle VOs are taken up by Sv. 88, thus explaining why Sv. 143 doesn't get them. A cameo could be possible, but from AMDEP, as SLBP has double-deck Volvos of the 2-axle variety. O405s I think are from both depots, while 9000S is definitely with AMDEP.Originally posted by SBS9816E:Hey.. let me bring back this topic again. I wonder if you guys know that part of Sv 143's fleet is based at SLBP. Sv 143 is a joint operation of BRAM + AMKDEP and SLBP, that is why you could see most of the fleet is LO 3 Axle (from SLBP). I suppose that about 30-45% of the fleet is from AMKDEP, e.g. 9000S, and some MB O.405. Sv 143 can get VO 3 Axle from AMKDEP. However, look at the percentage of VO 3 Axle in AMKDEP. Rather of a small percentage. If Sv 143 is managed by BBDEP, instead of SLBP, I can tell you that VO 3 Axle can be plied on this sv.
Of course. SBST seems to be biased against the West, perhaps due to the industrial estate where they feel they can dump the old buses there for use in JIS. Sv. 174 cannot get double-decks due to the trees at Old Jurong Rd, however it will get CNG B10BLEs soon. VSO thing is not entirely true. Look at Sv. 88, it goes to the East, where are the VSOs? Same for Sv. 8, it has no perm VSOs and always borrows from other services.Originally posted by PT21:
Hey, you want to know why?
This is simply because Service 88 goes to east side mah, if goes to Jurong East. Amdep sure put LOs on this service and let east side service having VO. Same for service having VSOs, I can say that more that 80% of the entire VOS fleet are being deploy on East side service.
Why doesn't service 157 have any VOs of VSO. It is also a service that is partially control by Amdep. Now you see, service 157 got a lot of single deck buses than DD. The DD now are mostly LOs 3 axle. During peak hrs, it was very pack.
If a service at the easten side which is orginally using single deck, which are very pack, SBST sure change DD on that particular service. (Eg: Services 60,89,9 etc)
You see, for western side, we compalin many time already, SBST still don't want to change DD on certain service that require it.
(Eg are service 174,66, 243,79 etc) They just say, we ill look into the matter, but nothing was being done.
SBST suck, I think they only paster the East more than the West.
I don't see how Sv. 56 is popular in any way. Popular in my definition would include Sv. 55 and Sv. 88Originally posted by SBS9816E:Nah... I think it's because AMKDEP 'grabs' the buses first. Then, AMKDEP would ply these buses onto routes that are popular within the bus svcs that they control. Well, you can still see VSO going to the west, i.e. Sv 157. Although it is not permanent, it still has the 'qualificatin' for being the bus that goes to the West. SLBP gets older buses, because of the Jurong Industrial buses i guess. Also, the shuffling of buses have made it in the way that old buses have to be landed somewhere that could accommodate them.
SBST transferred all Svc 143 VSO to Svc 56.Originally posted by sbs&tibs:Why did SBST transfer all VSOs from 143 to other services? i hope VSOs will be deployed on svc. 22,143,etc (to those with lots of Leylands).
The Leylands on service 55 are from service 133.Originally posted by service_238:SBST transferred all Svc 143 VSO to Svc 56.
As to what I see,
Svc 28 gets VSO to replace all the old rickety Leyland Olympian 2-axle
Svc 76 gets VSO to replace some of the Leylands 3-axle and the MB0405.
Svc 21 & 133 gets VSO to replace most/all of the Leylands 3-axle.
Svc 25 get VSO to replace most of the Leylands 3-axle. If i'm not wrong the leylands were redeployed onto Svc 55.
Svc 56 gets VSO so that all its double decks in the Svc 56 fleet is VSO
Svc 70 gets VSO to replace all the old rickety Leyland Olympian 2-axle
Svc 31 gets VSO to replace 3 outgoing Leylands or even MK3.
I have no comments of Svc 161 & 168.
If u see the trend in the services they ply, most/all VSOs are from AMDEP & BRAM (combined)
Maybe they do not want VSO on Svc 143 might be because of the Pasir Panjang area where the road is not smooth due to construction works.
The 3 VSOs are 9839P, 9840J and 9841G. They replaced the following LO 3 Axle and re-deployed on Service 55: SBS 9029C, SBS 9141T, SBS 9181COriginally posted by off_service:The Leylands on service 55 are from service 133.
49 B10TLs are based in AMDEP/BRAM, 9800A and 9888Y are in HGDEP. They may one day jump over to BRAM/AMDEP to join its siblings.Originally posted by service_238:SBST transferred all Svc 143 VSO to Svc 56.
