The tender evaluation is not any-oh-how hamtum you know. With the tender evaluation arm being a distinct entity in itself within LTA, your allegations hardly hold water under typical circumstances.
Govt slowness in dealing with these sorts of contracts is precisely due to need for "fairness". And what do you do? You accuse them of both being slow and unfair. Seemingly contradictory?
no point improving bus service if LTA never improving road conditions of the PIE and the steven road link from PIE. one accident cause jaming all the way and the bus service has be road diversion to use the thomson road exit old police academy and jam along the way at thomson road.
LTA should rebuild that two lane road that link between PIE and steven road. or maybe having a bus lane only on that link in the morning for public bus service to use from 630 am to 1030am. other cars can use the thomson road exit at the old police academy.

If Go Ahead or Busway wins then Citaro,A22,B9TLs and Enviro500 ah?

Should be using our buses since LTA stated it'll contain the BSEP and part of current fleet... The rest that is affected in the tender but not allocated by LTA to be under them, will get redeploy to other SBST/SMRT svcs...
Do we know when the tender results will be announced?

2nd quarter of the year, as reported in one of the newspapers...

i believe is coz SMRT has financial constraints to buy more DDs now as the bus contractmodel has not been implemented yet. prob is LTA and the PTOs incl SBST are too slow in their reactions. LTA should by now work with the PTOs to help finance and buy more DDs to prepare for the future.
Mind you, it didnt even take 1 min to dig this out.
All I did was do a google search with the following keywords: sgforums sbs3688y lta slow.
And it took me only 1 min to write this post out also. Logging off for you to rue about your words! Good night!

Hi mr carbikebus, I agree with what you say. Now the frequency is much better and at times, bunching occurs. The next bus will just be another couple of minutes away. People are still not satisfied. Cheers.

Hmm so far Bulim:Jurong East,Bt Batok and part of Clementi bus svc in tendem with Tengah new town and Bt Batok West..then Loyang come next with possibly Changi Airport,Changi Village,Pasir Ris and probably some of Tampines Svc.Then Mandai with possibly Choa Chu Kang and Bt Panjang svc.Latest is Sungei Seletar(Why not Lentor?) with possibly Yishun and Sembawang in tendem with Simpang new town..Whats next?Commonwealth depot with Bt Merah,Harbourfront and the upcoming Marina South bus package?

But Sungei Seletar is still along Lentor...
Thats why i mentioned why not name it Lentor instead.

Oh... I misinterpret it as you thought it's somewhere at Seletar instead of Lentor... lol
Hmm at least LTA know the issue at SMRT Amdep and its smart of them to proposed a route to Yio Chu Kang from the depot..CTE and East bound svc can use that route while to Yishun can just use the main entrance.
As for now there is need to have Ayer Rajah replacement too so that svc from Buona Vista,Kent Ridge,Bt Merah,HBF and CBD as well as Marina South can utilise it
Next is bus park for either Sengkang/Punggol or Bidadari svc.Braddell alone cant cope alrdy and with Buangkok plannings,Hgdep also will face overcrowding.
Future we got Mandai,Woodlands & Changi integrated depots which we might see the current Bukit batok,Kranji,Woodlands depot/Bus park & Bedok North/Changi bus park might gone into history.
Its also great if a bus park is built near the Kallang Ave as Kg Bugis and Rochor housing project is on e way

Who knows we might see Woodlands Reg Int will be an interchange with most depots/bus parks control in the whole of Singapore... If you see Wlands svcs, many of them can be easily partial controled by all these depots/bus parks...
Hmm I think most services will be full control under a particular depot leh. For example look at Bulim Package tender. It says operator manage Bulim Depot, Clementi, JE and BBT interchange. Doesnt this mean all the bus services under Bulim Package will be parked in Bulim irregardless of where the other end of the route is? Because if the nearest depot to the terminating interchange is managed by another operator, there wont be a partial control right.
For eg. Sv 66 Bedok to JE. JE side park at Bulim but Bedok side if the depot is managed by another operator how can that operator do a partial control?

I see ur point... But it's going to be huge amount of dead mileage.

Maybe they should have touched routes that are currently doing fine as single-depot controlled first for the first three packages. Until 2021 then let those dual-depot controlled routes be tendered out.
Bulim svc meaning eg:66 the 1st direction is belong to Jurong East.2nd direction is Bedok,If SMRT wins then the nearest depot is Amdep. They cannot publish Bulim/Bedok or Bulim/Brbp and so on right?Im sure LTA isnt dumb enough to make svc like 66 off service all the way from Bedok to Bulim right?
It would be interesting to see how LTA handles it. But with a fixed number of buses and a depot given to the new operator, I doubt the buses can be parked in other depots at will (even if the incumbants win it). If foreign operator, means dont even have that option. Yes, it will be alot of dead mileage but on the positive side it seems only 66 has this problem in the first package and potentially 106 and 143 but even 106 and 143 wont be as bad as 66.
LTA should have omitted 66 and kept it for later and if bedok package is by same operator there is chance of partial control or the same operator operating another east side depot can have partial control. Could have included service like 99 into Bulim instead
Also the EDS panels - I believe LTA will come out with a standardised format! Currently SBST and SMRT are using different formats for their EDS panels. Personally I prefer the SMRT format.
As a matter of fact svc 99,166 & 175 should be included inside the package too,What is the use of control feeders svc but only 1 trunk for Clementi?
