Even if they won no meaning only take 96 and Clementi feeders,Should have just forget about Clementi and take remaining 4 JE svc like 51,52,106 & 506...If its true good luck to JE Int commuters,Wonder how LTA wanna buy so many DDs

i got a feeling Bulim and Loyang will be won by SMRT and SBST respectively,Other packages will be competively bidded by other companies.
I don't think bulim or loyang will be win by the present operator or else what the use of tendering? LTA want to try out the tender process to other operator than the old ones otherwise no point holding the tenders. I think this is why smrt is preparing for other business like bidding for new telco business. maybe it should step in for school transport business which i think it will put pressure on PTE bus transport to come out lower school bus fare.
LTA most likely give 1st 2 to exisiting operator. Its a new system and many things will change. Its better to give it to incumbants who have better knowledge in the area and tie up any lose ends before tendering the later packages to other new players. Its the least risky option. And with SG Public transport already under so much criticism from the public and the elections being around the corner, I dont think LTA will take risks in areas where it can be minimised.
And in all honesty, SMRT had the lowest bid.
Also I dont think 990 doesnt enter just because it is operated by SMRT and not SBST. 990 is BSEP route, if LTA wanted it to enter JE int, they would have made it enter. Also there are so many SBST interchanges with 1 or 2 SMRT services inside...
BC said SMRT won Bulim. But he don't know if 990 next time will enter JE INt doe.
Dont trust BCs la dey,They also heard from horse's mouth and always pass wrong info..I hope LTA will exclude Clementi's 96,282,284 & 285 and replace with 51,52,105 & 197 instead
Singapore Bus Services supporter wants Singapore Bus Services to win, so they say Singapore Bus Services won.
Singapore MRT Ltd supporter wants Singapore MRT Ltd to win, so they say Singapore MRT Ltd won.
Trans-Island Bus Services supporter wants Trans-Island Bus Services to win, so they say Trans-Island Bus Services won.
It is always best to wait for the official announcements from the official sources. For instance, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore.

I doubt they will replace, though I hope so. Those are long distances while the Clementi svcs are "feeders". I guess LTA did not want to replace the svcs as they want to keep the rts short.
@The BC part, sekali he say correct lol. But from what I see, SMRT have a high chance of winning.
At least dont touch 143 & 183 mah...Instead exchange for svc 99 & 175 in return.I dont know how SMRT manage these two services?Deploy A95s and A22s?
105 have a chance for bendy buses so is 99 and 143 have a chance on the new srmt DD buses 175 normal a22 or some older smrt buses. if that the case then where all other sbst buses go to???? i think whoever win the tender will use back the buses and the bus get to have LTA white colour and logo of both LTA and whatever operator
...
Frankly say,I rather the Bulim package is won by SBST or other operators.I prefer SMRT to win the Loyang/Seletar and Ulu Pandan package instead.
Rumours i heard from a source that Dairy Farm area will have a new depot in 3 years time,So if its true then Mandai will eventually replace Woodlands depot/Bus park in furure. So this so called Dairy Farm depot will replace Kranji and Bukit Batok Depot?

Neh,Those excess SBST buses can be used for other operators winning the bids mah..SMRT got their own buses mah
Results announced in June?
Takeover in July? (BC said July will change to SMRT)
I have a feeling either SMRT or Busways will win.

On the other hand, i wouldn't want SMRT to win the Loyang/Seletar/Pasir Ris/CGV/CGA package. I wouldn't want to see LTA doing too much all of a sudden to shake up what isn't causing alot of problems in the first place..
LTA is taking longer to announce the tender results than what the mainstream media had originally thought.
One possible explanation is that LTA wants to ensure that prospective bidders have the finanical viability to carry out all its obligations for the Bulim contract:
Tower Transit won the Bulim tender.

God Help Singapore.
I would rather walk 1km to the MRT station.

Hahas..it makes no sense if SBST/SMRT wins this first package.
No more than 15 mins headways during peak hours, at least half will have no more than 10mins headways + Feeder buses running at 6-8mins intervals..
Figures so nice..but forgotten to state "Subject to traffic condition"? LOL..let's see if it's true...
Although this first GCM does not concern me, I feel relieved that the LTA did not award the tender solely based on costs. Besides costs, they considered other factors. For instance, service standards and maintenance regimes. I look forward to having GCM implemented at the part (Gek Poh / Pioneer) of Jurong West where I stay in.
I'm alittle confused: Does this mean Tower Transit will take over SBST & SMRT's BSEP buses for the services from Jurong East, Bukit Batok & Clementi bus interchanges? Or they'll take over even SBST & SMRT's own buses for these svcs?
But either way, I can imagine how chaotic the SMRT Buses management is now with losing Bulim depot which they thought they had firmly in control..
