STK offered a combined SD and DD bid (Option 3), but this separate bid was not shortlisted.
So for ADL they already have their own 3 doors dual staircase DD.

Oh. But LTA still need a SD right?
I'm guessing MAN SD with 3 doors and ADL E500 3 doors/dual staircase.
LTA need to built bus parks(near depot) for MRT/LRT breakdown shuttle.
I was reading the Singapore Statutes Online website when I learnt that there is a step-in arrangement of Interim services contracts.
According to section (32) of number (30) of 2015 of the Bus Services Industry Act 2015, there would be interim services contracts, if there is a "suspension or revocation ... or ... termination of ... public bus services contract."
According to subsection (4) of section (51) of chapter (63) of the Copyright Act, I cannot copy "5% of ... that edition".
Hence, I shall just write the link here:
According to section (3) of the Bus Services Industry (Non-Regular Route Service) Order 2016, cross-boarder services are as good as private services.
In other words, cross-boarder services are not part of the GCM.
If I am not wrong, this means private bus companies can operate cross-boarder services, if they want.

somehow, I find this confusing.
the new operators Tower Transit and Go Ahead are given around one year to prepare to take over the bus services, and they get to take over the depot around one year in advance and renovate the depot.
next time, around five to seven years later, when the contract expires and if a new operator takes over, would the second operator have the same luxury of time to take over?
would there be a second round of new bus depots built to pair with this round of new bus depots? (similar to agriculture activities moving to another farm after one farm land is harvested, as the first farm has to replenish nutrients before it can be used for farming again)
if the same depot is used, would there be a transition period, where the incumbent (ie. the first operator) is given an interim bus contract to serve, before the new operator (ie. the second operator) takes over - while the new operator gets to renovate the depot and prepare its labour resource?
would really appreciate if the people with knowledge on how the transition is done at cities like London could offer their views on what may happen here in Singapore.
Thanks.
LTA said in future there will be at least 3-4 operators,12 packages is only initial but who knows in future there might he another 1 or 2 package?
I prefer SBST:6 depots,SMRTB:3 depots,TT and Go Ahead 2 depots each

This is five years away, so it is possible LTA may have different ideas by then (depending on how the initial packages turn out).
However, GCM is implemented in a similar manner to PTA in Perth, Western Australia. You might want to have a look at how it is done there.
When TT Perth (Swan Transit) lost its renewal in 2012, the new operators were given three and a half months to prepare. Going back further to 2010, Swan Transit was given six months to prepare to take over.

Go-Ahead Singapore unveils similar employment terms as rivals
plagiarised from: http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/go-ahead-singapore/2515898.html
SINGAPORE: Bus operator Go-Ahead Singapore announced new employment terms and benefits for bus captains on Monday (Feb 15), as it signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Transportation Workers Union (NTWU).
The terms include:
- - A minimum basic starting salary of S$1,865 for bus captains;
- - A S$2,000 sign-on bonus for experienced captains;
- - A one-time S$1,000 retention bonus;
- - A S$430 annual allowance for health, learning, and leisure programmes;
- - Up to 26 weeks of paid maternity leave for female employees;
- - Two days of elder care leave per year for all employees;
- - And free bus and train rides.
In November last year, Go-Ahead Singapore won the bid to run bus services in Pasir Ris and Punggol under the Government’s new bus contracting model. The UK-based operator will operate the new Loyang bus depot from the third quarter of 2016, running 25 bus routes from Changi Airport and Changi Village bus terminals, as well as the Pasir Ris and Punggol bus interchanges.
The company took over the Loyang Depot from the LTA in December 2015. It says it will begin recruitment in February, and aims to hire about 700 bus drivers.
“Our primary duty is to deliver quality public bus service and to build an engaged team of individuals,” said Go-Ahead Singapore’s Managing Director Nigel Wood. “Building our Singapore operations will take time, but the first priority will be on the people we hire.”
Speaking at the signing, NTWU Executive Secretary Melvin Yong said the employment terms Go-Ahead Singapore and the union agreed upon were in line with the national guidelines on good employment practices in the public bus industry.
These include requiring incoming bus operators like Go-Ahead to offer all affected employees a job, and giving them the flexibility to join the new operator or being redeployed, where feasible.
"NTWU is able to represent the workers hired by Go-Ahead on matters relating to their employment and workplace related issues," Mr Yong said.
He added the union is looking forward to having the agreed employment terms being recognised under a Collective Agreement with the bus operator eventually.
HIRING TERMS COMPARABLE WITH COMPETITORS
The terms and benefits are comparable to those announced by UK-based operator Tower Transit in November 2015. The operator won the Bulim Bus Package in May 2015 - the first bus package under the new contracting model.
Tower Transit announced last November its bus captains will receive a monthly basic starting pay of S$1,865, and may earn up to S$3,000 a month in overtime pay. Women drivers, who are Singaporean citizens or Permanent Residents, get 26 weeks of maternity leave and all captains get to travel free on all buses and trains.
These announcements come as Singapore transport operators seek to recruit more bus captains and meet increasing manpower needs.
As of December 2015, Tower Transit has recruited about 625 bus captains, or about 80 per cent, of the 750 positions the company plans to fill.
Local operator SMRT also announced in December 2015 that it was looking to recruit about 700 new staff, offering current employees up to S$3,000 in cash for successful job referrals.

Of course it's photoshopped la!
So obvious it's SBS Transit livery, coloured with red colour by a certain percentage, and they add the go-ahead logo there. duh.
anyway, it looks like the go-ahead has already decided on their uniform. grey polo tee with black pants (skirt for girls?).
btw, why are some staff wearing watches? I tot working cannot wear watch one?
and how come one of their staff got tattoo on his arm?
wth... negative image sia...
