Originally posted by gekpohboy:The third package has been announced.
It is called the "Seletar Bus Package".
It will use the new Seletar Bus Depot.
24 existing routes and 2 new routes at Yishun, Yio Chu Kang and Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchanges.
To be implemented in two stages from the first half of 2018.
The 24 existing routes are 24, 70, 76, 130, 133, 135, 138, 162, 261, 262, 265, 268, 269, 800, 803, 804, 805, 806, 811, 812, 850E, 851, 852 and 860.
Ang Mo Kio Int:24,130,133,135,138,261,262,265,268 & 269=10 service
Yio Chu Kang Ter:70,76 & 162=3 service
Yishun Int:800,803,804,805,806,811,812,850E,851,852 & 860=10 + 1 service and i suspect the 2 new service will be from Yishun.
265 & 268 no more start from Amdep..

I think the last foreign operator will win..
Suspect 13,72 along with new service 71 under East Coast package.
Yishun Bus Interchange is not included in the list.
Actually they left out quite a lot of services isn't it. Sv 853 854 855 856 857 859 all excluded from Yishun, they excluded Sv 25 also.
The new bid is mainly for taking majority control of AMK Int & YCK Int, Yishun Int is just some services included into this package (given the proximity to the new Seletar depot)
I hope either SBST or the foreign operators win. Possible that the local incumbents will win this time, otherwise LTA really sending out a msg to the incumbents that they don't need bid liao because forever will lose one.
SMRT sure lose one imo. If LTA looked at what the flying shit SMRT did with 812, the answer is quite clear as how SMRT managed Yishun svcs alr. Although i have to say they did a pretty good job with 803 & 860 (to the extent that i always see 860 bunching up to 4 buses together on Weekdays..)
And hopefully i'm not the only one that hopes Sv 851 gets some DDs finally?

Remember,SBST/SMRT still be running the remaining package after this third biddings under nego terms..
265 & 268 probably will start from Seletar depot or AMK Int with new service from Yishun cover the deleted sectors and passing by AMK Int.
SMRT Amdep will still exist till 2019..SBST Amdep or new Bishan depot might take 853,854,855,& 857.
Next year SMRT Amdep only control 853,854,855 & 857.Which is logical why they wanna start control Sembawang service too.
2 upcoming services probably:
1. Feeder service between Yishun Interchange and Yishun Street 42 serving Blossom Spring @ Yishun and Meadow Spring @ Yishun (2018)
2. Feeder service between Ang Mo Kio/Yio Chu Kang Interchange and Ang Mo Kio Street 21 and/or 22 serving either/both Kebun Baru Court (2017) and/or Ang Mo Kio Court (2020).
Hopefully by 2017,The two concept DDs will be in production for those Yishun feeders too..

Dont forget the new service which cover 265 & 268 should the two svc starts from AMK instead.

Service 265 (skip AMDEP) via Street 63, 64, Yio Chu Kang Road and turn right to SLDEP and vice-versa.
Service 268 (skip Street 64, 63, AMDEP) via Street 62, 64, Yio Chu Kang Road and turn right to SLDEP and vice-versa.

851 definitely will get fleet upgrades.. look at sv106.....

So the irony is that the first DD's on 851 will be B9 wrights and not E500 or A95.
73 under which package? Only one terminal at AMK but not under Seletar?
This package seems skewed towards feeder/intra-town routes. Any reason for this?

If SBST lose,They still control 22,25,73,86 & part of 166 at AMK Int and 13/72 at YCK Ter.
If SMRT lose,They still control 171,853,854/E,855 & 857 at Yishun Int..856 might start from WTI.

Reasonable to control all the feeders/Intratowns if you control the Interchange.Only for this Clementi package i dont really understand..
i am surprised that Sungei Seletar Bus Contract is out before the Ulu Pandan.

Why suprised when LTA announced that Seletar will be ready by Q3 2017 and Ulu Pandan by Q1 2018?Too bad the 4th package is not for open biddings..

268 might start from YCK and 265 from AMK.The two new service might be a trunk and a feeder.
I was hoping that 24 stay with SBST and exchange for 72 instead.852 stay with SMRT and exchange for 853 instead.

Sugei Seletar has got 12 feeder svcs and intratown svcs in total.
