And there is cases where some newbie BCs gone missing and reluctant to drive on the first day too.

Preferred to let Svc 857 terminate at Marina Centre. At least, got some 10 mins break before return leg...
Looks like if Svc 24 is taken over by other company, the sole SBS Transit Service in Changi Airport would be Svc 27 unless Svc 24 is won by SBST...
I still very unsure, what other factors would they take to win a bid for the contract?

Yeah better,Unless 171 cut short to somewhere else.
Svc 53 also under SBST mah

But what is the reason of 857 to loop at Suntec?
For 171, it may terminate at Bukit Panjang. Other than that, Sungei Seletar would be good to go.

No more space at Marina Centre especially for the road side.
Anyway my pick for the third package is:Foreign operators 90%,SMRT 80%,Tower Transit & Go Ahead 60% and SBST 50%.

But there is space at Suntec Tourist Hub or Singapore Flyer. I think Suntec Tourist Hub, under Duck & Hippo can accommodate 1 - 3 services.

i would say no more other operators.
SMRT is likely to retain.
which part do some of you people not get? 9 out of 12 packages will be retained by the incumbents.
is it logical that tha LTA will award SMRT or SBST the package beyond the 9 that they have been guaranteed? please refrain from engaging in pure fantasy, as if some people can see the future and tell who will be the winner for seletar.

Will the Loyang bus package be implemented in 2 or 3 tranches?
4th September is possible if only 2 tranches. If 3 tranches, first will be latest 28th August.
2 tranches. LTA's press release back then when they announced the results specifically said the takeover will be in 2 tranches in Q3 2016.
Unless LTA & Go-Ahead changed their minds recently and decided that doing a 3-tranch thing (like TT is doing with Bulim) is better. But considering that TT had to takeover the SMRT buses also, while GA's takeover is more clear-cut (just SBST stuff), i think they're sticking to 2 tranches
Who wins this parcel tender will depend on whether LTA is interested in a fifth operator.
If it doesn't, TT will win hands down. They are trying very hard (perhaps too hard) to perfect their BSRF score. All they have to do is to apply the Kalamunda strategy (which they have just indicated they will).
If it does, then it all comes down to who can offer the lowest bid. Most, if not all bidders, already know how to check the quality boxes.

But again its not fair to GA leh,They havent start operation yet.
TT lost Kalamunda. Did you mean Marmion?

Actually it was Welshpool. Dual-depot operation.
Yes, TT Perth lost both of them.

Like the masterchef analogy, TT has a very good advantage, and to a lesser extent, GA. Economies of scale advantage will probably mean their (including incumbents) bid prices will lower than 'virgin' operators, hand in hand with the fact that LTA is looking to lower overall costs.

#Justsaying #NotGuessing
Maybe 4 operators in the future - GoAhead, TTS, SMRT, SBST...base on the LTA figurines..
I got a feeling that seletar package would be taken by SMRT...SMRT A95 seen training on 811 route a few times(although training can take place anywhere)...

But be it new or experienced, I doubt nobody(or almost everyone) would love drive slowly.
Haha...no wonder everyone isn't turning to public transport as an alternative..

Agreed but again that is their demand and regulation unless TT/LTA adjust to suit the runtime..Nothing can be done much. Its not like the heydays where you can arrive 3-5 mins earlier mah..Now everything penalty..
Another Transperth practice you can expect:

it depends on how GAS or TTS does its part but GAS is only starting 3Q '16 while TTS has at least 2-3 weeks of service to show. if SMRT bucks up, i think LTA could give SMRT additional contract as a reward. Nothing is confirmed yet.
