Good news. Hope that the newly E500 registered buses will be mostly for WPDEP and can be used for Yishun services since now WPDEP now only have 7 or less reserved E500 buses for Yishun.

I think 176 and 188 might get few E500 from SMRT side given that it will become full WAB. Expect more bendy to get converted to SMRT DD

176 & 188 can declared WAB even with current fleets,70% WAB already,Even 190 fit to declared with 25 WAB out of 41 buses..

176 cannot.. still has 12 bendies out of its 28 bus fleet... 16/28 WAB buses makes <60% WAB as of now. 188 okay.

851 and 857 can have a high chance of getting DDs due to its high demand and also because that they WAB services. For 854, they can try adding DDs bit by bit. For 855, 2 to 3 DDs might do.

i dun think sv851 will get any DDs now.... not even a BSEP fleet add at all till now.. 854/857 will definitely get... and even for 172/180, not a single BSEP fleet add? that mean the current fleet are doing ok....

851 will definitely get. SMRT have already testing DDs in 851 since last December. If 851 have DDs, it will partially controlled AMDEP/WPDEP. My uncle who is working as SMRT bus driver said that 851 will be getting DDs and it will be partially controlled, same goes to 854 and 857. My uncle heard it from the discussion at SMRT office. My friends have also saw DDs testing on 851. Now recently, my schoolmate said that he saw an Enviro500 went pass by Adam Rd, Lornie Rd to Yishun, which is 852/855 route. I guess that it must be 855.

the SMRT DDs passby so many places....so how do you know the DD was testing on sv851 route?

and how your schoolmate know that the Enviro500 that pass by adam rd go to yishun? did he follow that Enviro500 all the way from Adam to Yishun?

I agree that 851 might not get DDs so soon yet. Priority will be 857. 854/855 could get as well.
On the other point, there is definitely BSEP add needed for many SMRT services but have not got. I don't know how they decide this, but it is a little strange. Services that should have got BSEP add: 172, 180, 189, 812, 851. These services frequency is not great and buses are super crowded.
Also on SBST side, sv 19 and 89 have kept getting BSEP add, but sv 9 was ignored. Similarly, sv 81 has a disastrous frequency and has been ignored. Most feeders have got multiple fleet add but high loading service 334 has been ignored. Likewise for 181 and 185 where SBST has done its own additions.
So the BSEP fleet add also works in a weird way and does not mean, no fleet add means doing okay!!

because it(960 DD training) started earlier back then too..

Most of the new SMRT double deckers gone to KJDEP.
All thos expecting DD on 851 - forget it, unless it comes as a BSEP add.
I think SMRT is going to convert all bendy slots on 190 to E500 asap and give a few more to 188.
We will see 190 probably going WAB in next round at this speed.
I think SMRT is doing the right thing, just that after 188, 190, 963 gets its fill ~ what is really left for other SMRT services? Hardly any DDs...
Expecting a DD order soon.

I don't know why KJ/BU need so many spare DDs for what. Even if those KJ/BU svcs that have BSEP A22s and get upgraded, there are still quite a number left to run. WL no need to say, is confirm reserved for BSEP adds and Yis. KJ/BU, i don't know wtf they are doing with them.
