There is a commitment from LTA/SMRT to introduce DDs on 857. They will make it happen, just like they made arrangements so that 67/176/960 could get DDs.

no issue mah.... DDs still can passby.. u go around Singapore see, a lot of places also have such branches and DDs are still using the roads daily...

Yeah if even 67, 176 and 960 could get double decks, 857 definitely would. And I believe SMRT had already considered the matter even when re-routing 857 through Yishun Central 1. If really cant have DDs through Yishun Central 1, they can always switch 852 with 857 in terms of the exit from Yishun Temp Int since 852 doesnt need DDs

i went over to see this morning, i dont see any issues with the trees. DDs should still be able to ply

SMRT and SBST DDs are doing trial with new Yishun temp int for a long time now, since Oct 2014. These DDs must have plied its respective roads. SMRT must have only then given okay for 855/857 to ply Central 1.

67 just added 5037Y, 5038U, 5039S & 5040L perm...
187 maybe 2nd BSEP or non-BSEP add...
969 will have 2 more perms, 5043D & 5044B...

i agree with your statement as i just found out that 972 now has full fleet Enviro so there are more A22s but i still feel that there will be new registrationg for 301/983 as there are 2 services as what lemon1974 said a minute earlier

Nothing much to upgrade now. Now are just plain E500 BSEP fleet add.
