Yes they had bendies. The load has increased in the last few years on 167, 859 and 980. Yet now they do not have bendies. Its funny right!!
First of all Lor 1 need tree pruning badly.167 need additional buses badly especially from Amdep side.I would love they deploy a couple of DDs to 167 & 980.985 can have 4 for a start.

Which also makes sense because O405G MKII and Habit Batch one are not due to deregister till 2017. So I do not expect them to place orders for A95 that fast (if they ever do order any, because I feel they might still stick to ADLs if LTA doesnt want to diversify to too many models).
Anyway, SBST is also not deregistering their DM3500s, Volvo Olympian Batch III, Dennis Trident, VSOs prematurely so SMRT does not need to deregister the O405Gs prematurely unless there are serious problems with the model (which there isnt).
If SMB are getting A24s, maybe SBS should get some units of B8RLEAs. 100 would be enough. If can use Volgren Optimus body like Transperth ones lagi best.

Nah..I tot LTA gonna take all buses? Since A24s are introduced, LTA should just buy more A24s to supplement those Feeders/Intra-town/Townlink svcs

SBST does not favour bendies la dey,Furthermore their Interchanges and Terminals structure does not suit bendy well..SBST got a hell lot of feeders,Imagine Boon Lay feeders use bendy buses?

right, the Sengkang Int isn't very bendy friendly. Boon Lay Int is slightly not favourable. But when 241 is a full fleet DD, putting bendies ... 243G on the other hand could use some. Pasir Ris Int is like the old Yishun Int, just not optimised for bendies.
SMB3583A
(KJ)
On 190 today.
SMB5050H (190), SMB5051E (188) >> KJ SP
SMB3586S on 169
(WLDEP/WLBP)
As for now Boon Lay Feeders cannot use bendys. The jams to enter the bus interchange are already terrible. But if Joo Koon opens and some of the JIS are transferred over, the interchange might be able to accomodate bendys for feeders if SMRT also uses DDs for its 4 trunk services in Boon Lay. But even if LTA gets bendys for the current SBST held areas, I think it should be more used for feeder services in other towns that cant use DDs currently. BL Feeders arent doing that bad with DDs
178 definately dont need DDs,Just kapo 2 A22 from 187 will be enough
187 can reduce 2 split shift buses and deploy on 178 as flee add. Then convert 4 SDs to DDs.24 buses should be enough with adjust runtime.
180 definately need full DDs..
172 can do with 2 full day and 4 split shift DDs,The bendy buses can go to 300 & 302

If they had widen the entrance/exit..
dk why they didn't plan nicely..
Nowadays new ITHs like Ang Mo Kio,Bedok,Boon Lay and Serangoon impossible to introduce new services due to the size of the ITHs itself..Hopefully the future Jurong East,Bt Panjang and other major ITHs wont follow the same mistakes again.

JIS is not causing a jam and will not change much. why 241 and 99 loops at Jurong West st 91 with full fleet DDs? these are high loading routes. i see 315 having full bus with some KUBs, maybe some Wrights or other DDs on 315?
73, 159 cannot get any DDs due to the bridge. if loads are high, bendies would be great.

315 should have got some DDs. To be honest, it really deserves. LTA added 4 BSEP to this service, so much excess resource. DD can clear loads very well. Not sure why HGDEP gave no DDs to 315.
103 soon will need DDs or another BSEP fleet add. I prefer it be given DDs. They can introduce 103A to terminate at Jalan Kayu interchange and come back as 103 to Serangoon.
73 - no need. For years not even got a fleet add. Loading remains just about right. In general, Serangoon North Ave 4 services do not get heavily packed - not sure what the reason is, coz there are so many flats there. As mentioned before, I think people just prefer to walk to YCK road / AMK Ave 3 as you have more options
159 - this was a service that needed DDs desperately at one point in time and was a huge debate point. But not anymore. With sv 50 coming in, lot of the 159 Sengkang loading has shifted to sv 50. Also the enhanced capacity on sv 88 has shared the load on AMK sector. The buses are packed, but you have place to enter and people are not left stranded. So 159 is also good with its current fleet.
SMB3585U seen testing on 857 route last Sunday.

Lol. we are seeing testings going on for last 6 months now. Sv 855, 851, 857 route testing reported so many times. Still no news of DDs for Yishun.
Also when I see BSEP allotment, still KJDEP is getting its more than fare share while WPDEP should have got it, if Yishun services really need to get upgraded.
