Finally they put DDs on 961, waited for this day to come (so I'm not surprised)... At least now the load during the peak hours would be relieved well.
chance for 985?
If 961 got DD, expecting 985 to get 4 BSEP DDs very soon. No wonder KJDEP still has a lot of BSEP DDs.
2 days ago i spotted NEA crane lorry with workers pruning the tree branches at inner part of Lor 1 Terminal..Beside 985 that can get DDs expect 980 to get DDs too during weekends.
Enviro spotted along SBW Rd towards Khatib, direction same as 980/167 heading from Sbw to Upp Thomson Rd. Not sure OS or 980/167...

This time i am not suprised if 167 or 980 get DDs..Its time Sembawang Int gets DDs..

Service 197 used to terminate at Geylang Lor 1 in the 1980s and had already started with a fleet of double deckers.
So no problem.

throw in route 5 before Tibs took over BPJ route group.
175 can extend to eunos and make way for 62.

As mentioned somewhere before, the way buses exit from the terminal used to be one of the problems...though it has since been rectified as evident from 961 using DDs.

167 might see capacity drop when TEL starts running

How many times do I have to explain that there is originally an issue, but the problem has already been rectified as evident from 961 using DDs? You should have gone and noticed one post in a thread months ago which indeed mentioned that there is originally a problem there depending on which exit the buses use. That problem has already been rectified!
I do acknowledge that the previous time I mentioned entrance instead of exit, yes, this is one of my careless mistakes. But this time round, I have read that post multiple times and came to this final conclusion that somehow the layout of the terminal seems to have been modified such that 961 can use DDs.

there is no issue at all at the exit or at the car park.... i did not see that post that u have highlighted until now, but what that guy say is wrong..... bus 11/70X did turn out from that particular exit into lor 1 and onto mountbatten road in the past (when it was one way).... it does not make an u-turn at all.... and even when Geylang lor 1 was converted to a two way road, bus 11 still turn out from the particular junction..
and and further, if that car park/exit is having issue, then how can sv961/985 bendy cameo turn out from Geylang lor 1 terminal?

Oh? Then I must have been mistaken all along...especially when that post is supported by one of your fellow friends there.
The land behind Kallang MRT still vacant? Its best that LTA built a proper terminal with alighting/boarding facilities with at least 3 boarding berths and 18 parking lots thus the current one can close for other planning.
So there is another batch of BSEP Enviros right?Production ones stop at SMB5103?The BSEP should stop at SMB3598 right?

No...the total number of buses in both non-BSEP and BSEP batch must add up to the original number in the initial order, which is 201. As mentioned, there is no official press release stating that SMRT purchased 103 Enviros for its use and not BSEP.
I wonder when SMB5001A will be out for revenue service..
Anyway, why does the Enviros creak a lot? Not blaming the assembler but what's the reason behind it..
5031M iirc, have water inside the side blinkers next to the front door cock.
