That can only be possible when more DD orders are placed. For now, I keep wondering how did services like 857 and 966 survive with full fleet SD in past.. when the DDs now are carrying 100+ pax in peak hours...
I think more people might choose 857 and 966 in future once they trust these services

That's too many buses for 27M. But hell yeah... 27M is a good idea and have been lobbying for it for quite some time...
27 can have 18 buses... and 27M can have full fleet of 10 DDs. Still cut 04 buses.

i was at tamp int today. no see any dd on 4.epull?
5066M >> KJ 67 >> KJ 172... instead 67 receives BSEP DD... still total # DDs = 8 (5 BSEP, 3 SMRT)
sv 964's new BSEP slot that was covered by B3 BSEP MAN is now changed to E500 BSEP slot with 3594T...
Last time 964 got BSEP DD, SMRT downgrade bendy >> SD. Hope this time around it doesn't do the same.
Eventually I think 964 may lose its bendies to feeders/intra-towns and get DDs from SMRT side, once enough DDs are around.
856 seriously needs more SD --> DD conversion. 857 received one, think it's time for 856.
There are 3 SP DDs in WPDEP... It should be either for 856 or 969.
969 recently lost some of its bendy from AMDEP and may have got upgraded to DD on WPDEP side. Just my feeling.
Either way I think these 3 should go either to 856 or 969 this round.

As I was travelling to Woodlands, I saw a E500 on 964. But then when I queue for 902, all buses that came is bendy with quite good frequency...
So far since I worked in Woodlands, 902 load is damn good.. Full load of buses and also supplement Svc 169... Why not make 902 stop inside RP instead huh?

It will get extended to Tampines North in future. Actually 902 can be converted into full day feeder under BSEP given WDL Ave 9 has many new HDBs and 858/169 are not able to cope with the peak hour load. As more industrial buildings and HDBs open along ave 9... loading will only increase... so this is my proposal.
Capacity Downgrade: sv 300 lost one bendy.. now operating with 9 bendies instead of 10.
Capacity Upgrade: sv 812 suddenly has been high focus service, with fleet of 11 buses from 6 buses... so almost 5 buses have been added in last 3-4 months.

3355 is just emergency pullover i think..cos no change in timetable...
983 has 5 buses running today morning... does it have fleet add... or almost everyday gets a spare extra bus. Today had 2 DDs with BSEP livery, 2 SDs with BSEP livery and 1 MAN bus with SMRT livery.
301 was operating with 5 buses.
Two stops of ave 4 get sv 300 almost 80 pax every 03-05 minutes... and also many for 983... how come so many people live in the HDBs there? Seem like those houses should be packed with sardines to have every bus get so many pax.

857 & 966 when first started,The number of pax is still manageable..

its time for svc 190 to have 95% DDs.Just retain 3 SDs the most.

Agreed.. but last few years load has been unmanageable by rigids... + when you have more high capacity buses and people are assured there will be a place to sit or stand comfortably, many will change their pattern from personal vehicle or MRT to bus as well if it is a more direct option.
As for 190... ideal fleet size should be 38 DDs... and no rigid...

I agree with this. But if you observed recently..Sv 190's frequency is quite fast that even when a rigid comes, it's usually bunching with another rigid or behind a DD/Bendy..
So i guess what they're doing now, is to split up the loads across different buses, hmm.

Don't find that approach quite useful coz while sometimes the rigid bunches with another DD/bendy. There are times when rigid goes first and then DD comes... so the rigid gets super packed and delayed.
Anyway, it is also about mentality. I don't get it that now that people know sv 190 has many HC buses and at frequency of 03-04 mins during peak, why don't they wait for the next bus instead of craming into the first bus that comes.
DD spotted on 172 today...not sure rego though but it appeared after TIB698U...

SMRT so cheapskate,They should order 70 units of A95s rather than look look see see,They have until end of this year to purchase.

Keep 10 SDs, 95% DDs. SDs can do downroute from Thong Teck.
SMRT recently deployed time recorder/man power on rt 966, 911...
