Great news... If 858 can get bendies... then they really need to deploy a lot more... but good start.
If really a sucess,SBST should invest a few Citaro Gs as well
6 units for 24,16 units for 27,5 units for 34,5 units for 36 and 8 units for 53..Lol
Especially with T4 and T5 coming up. The ridership is gonna go up. High capacity buses are definitely a must.
The T1 turning is really quite narrow for the Bendy on exit currently. They either need to shave off the pavements abit or relocate the 858 berth to one of the earlier ones so the bendy can have a chance to do a wider turn. Last week I was on a MAN A22 858 and the bus captain seemed to have a hard time negotiating that turn on exit (Unless he no skill lol).
the order for A24 should be a bit more
in the meantime some O405Gs on 858.

I doubt that will happen. Given that it is moving to tender based bus contracting model, I don't think SMRT would even want to take the risk. In due course, even feeders/intra towns will have DDs whether we like it or not.
Also, I think with T4 coming up... I am sure they will make arrangement for a DD friendly interchange. For now, bendies on 858 will do the job. For other services, they just have to wake up and introduce their M variants with higher capacity buses.

LTA will be deploying DDs on these SMRT feeder in the next few years even SMRT dun like it.... so no need bother about more bendies...
as for T4, dun think they will divert the buses inside..last time the budget terminal is also there, and the buses are not diverted inside as well.....

T4 is not the budget terminal.

If there are no plans to include a bus int even in the Jewel there is no way they will include in T4... It is located far away from any of the three terminals and is planned earlier than the Jewel...
They feel that the current PTBs are sufficient...

so? the public buses are going to made a detour to call at T4?

I thot that's happen to buses when T3 opened... I was thinking at the Departure Hall... But then one prob would be how the buses going from one terminal to another...

Service 187 needs 7 more MAN A22s and 10 more DDs

Thinking about it, LTA may really want all airport services to make a detour to T4 before returning to expressways. When T3 opened last time, all the bus services also had an additional stop at T3.

Then they should have detour to the budget terminal previously. T3 exit is directly to the entrance of T1. But for T4 it is different case.

maybe cause for budget terminal it wasn't really well planned? also there's some distance after T2 to proceed to T4 .. maybe will have some big changes in near future..
3375A --> BN SP --> CGBP 4
3424S --> BN 02 --> CGBP 4
I was on board on 3424S yesterday and BC said 3424S is doing sv 4 since last week. So it seems perm, though as usual BN buses nothing written on coin bus. Also spotted 3375A on the way!
Order of buses:
SD --> SD --> DD (this was the bus I was on!)--> SD --> DD --> SD
Will post loading later! Very interesting loading!

I could think that 811,812,903,911,912 & 913 can use DDs because of the runtime,distance and the routes they plied.

IMO, I will not put the DDs on 811 or 812. The Woodlands Feeder and Intratowns should be the ones which deserved the DDs.
811's crowd only from Ave 7/9 to North Pt MRT & I have nv seen 812's crowd before coz the bus that comes always takes the crowd at Khatib MRT or even at Chong Pang City.
Therefore, it will be a waste of resources to put such HC buses on the Yishun Intratown service.
As such, maybe with the DDs on the Woodlands intratown, they can withdraw the PPPS from Svc 903 and 912.
