The one opposite is mainly used by residents living in the estates wedged between the Street and the Crescent. I dont see the difference between placing a new stop along Crescent, and retaining the stop on Street.
But when 83 goes into crescent so many ppl benefit! Ppl living inside the crescent benefit. BTO residents benefit.
So again, there simply is no reason why any other svc would do better than 83 if there was to be a diversion.
P.s. if you think that any sole svc along a main road would not be withdrawn, explain svc 207.
Hi mr SMB128B, you cannot say nobody uses the bus stop at sculpture park towards sengkang. I have seen people alighting from Sbs 83 at that stop and also people boarding it, albeit very few people. Not nobody.
As for the main road and side road issue, it is anybody guess. One year down the road, I am pretty confident that Sbs 83 will still ply compassvale street instead of going into crescent. Hope I am proven wrong.
Take note that new bto flats at compassvale crescent will still have access to 1 new bus stop along sengkang east road. There will be Sbs 43, 43M, 109, 119 at this new stop being planned. Sbs 43, 43M, 119 coming from Punggol and Sbs 109 coming from slip road from TPE. It is not total gloom for those staying at the new bto at compassvale crescent. Some flats are nearer to this new stop too. Now we know the significance of why Sbs 43M must start from Punggol to loop at serangoon central instead of serangoon to loop at buangkok only. Sbs 43M will immensely close up the gap for those flats at Punggol and sengkang. Cheers.
There can actually be a quick fix to both the issues at hand.
sv 83 bus stop at Skulpture Park can be shifted to before Compassalve Crescent, so that it calls at the stop on Com St and then goes inside to serve BTOs as well.
This will serve dual purpose. It will connect the new BTO flats with Sengkang MRT as well as Punggol road to transfer to other services.
I strongly recommend this diversion for sv 83 instead of having a stupid feeder for 3 stops and occupying space and resources at Sengkang Interchange.

How about 965 go inside Crescent ah friends? Like that direct door step connection to NSL/NEL~
I would not touch a trunk service going to Yishun/Woodlands to act like a feeder. Sv 83 is the right choice to do Compassalve Crescent.

svc 207?
Originally posted by carbikebus:By the way,Anyone spotted DDs on svc 3 today? From 1800 till 1905 i havent spotted any at Tampines St 21 and Ave 4 leh
One of them does shortworking 3B in AM Peak & then shortworking 3A during PM Peak..so it was stuck in the Pasir Ris area. might explain why you didn't spot the B9TL yesterday. Cheers.

so basically no major upgrade for Punggol residents. I am sure dupdup will not be happy with this news.
So it is plying DDs on like a short feeder.

Err, note that i'm just saying that there's at least one which does Sv 3A and 3B during Peak Hours. I'm not so sure if the other DD does the full trip or not during Peak. Hopefully this clears up your misinterpretation / misunderstanding? ![]()
983 gets another fleet add... and this time around its a DD.. 3599E...
So it is 3 DDs, 2 SDs and supposedly 1 Bendy (TIB111Z)... can someone confirm the bendy is perm???
If so... this will be the first BSEP service to get a non-BSEP perm bus!!

Bendy likely perm...always park at CCK int during split breaks..(TIB1117Z)
I think SMRT somewhat "self-exchange" BSEP DDs with Bendy haha..
You see BSEP DDs on non-BSEP slots, and Bendy buses on BSEP svc(850E, 983, 860..)
983 i think its 6 buses,3 A22s,2 E500s and that bendy.Might be replace with E500 later.
Can someone check 985 DDs?Today like spotted 4 DDs while i was at Lorong 1

I think 985 has got 1 DD from SMRT side as well... + 3 BSEP DDs...

Great, now its 187,961 and 969 turn to have 2 SDs to DDs exchange

Yup! I do realise there are now 3 DDs but i wasnt sure what was perm so didnt post here...on top of that, I seldom see SMB3088M now, it is mostly SMB3087R and SMB3127J doing the 2 SD slot...
I noticed TIB1117Z very frequently also...will do more observations...
i suspect Service 302 had fleet adds as well..ridiculously so many MAN SD doing 302 recently, and SMB1510Z and SMB1516H are appearing on 302 on a daily basis and are doing AP slots... (today there were 5 SDs -- 1510Z, 1516H, 3118K, 3128G, 3135K)
Buses confirm out are TIB1084J, TIB1117Z, TIB1175E and TIB1204E, with SMB8001E, SMB8019E, SMB8020A, SMB8021Y and SMB8022U likely to be perm...am unsure of the status of TIB1132D, TIB1217T and TIB1219M.
sv 172 finally gets the much waited capacity upgrade.
Operating now with 4 Bendies + 1 DD. Nice! Need to convert 3 more SD slots to HC buses. 8 HC, 7 SD is a good fleet for 172.

Can you check how many DDs sv 985 has... I think it is 04 - 3 BSEP, 1 from SMRT.... coz I keep seeing production batch DDs on sv 985.
Lol 5888 did 985 on Sunday.
Somehow I feel that some DDs on svc 3 and 85 will be taken back soon... Don't ask me why.

Hi mr array, I think not very possible. Once introduced, it is either status quo or increase. Residents will definitely make another uproar to their MP should changes occur. Furthermore, they are only just few DDs. It is not too much to ask for. They are also not demanding full fleet DDs. Cheers. Thanks.

Seems to be 4 bendies and 2 DDs instead for now...172S107 is confirmed..and 172S106 i would say 80% confirmed...
A side note is that all HC buses are on split shifts...
