AMDEP only got 1 MAN DD. So, I not sure how it will deploy this one MAN DD. Maybe its best if can deploy on Yis feeder like 804/806 or 860.

like that put schedule for what? if only SBST/SMRT know when the pax are coming, but they dunno.... today u see back to back no ppl, tom u go see same timing maybe both buses are full.... pls do not scold the BC... they did not offend you..

I think if back to back like Townlink 291/293 still okay as the loading is very heavy... I was utterly dissappointed with the deployment for 969 during weekends... I was on my way back from Tampines when a rigid came instead... Then along the way all rigid until I reach Yishun then a DD heading towards Tampines...

In morning just before AM Peak, a few A22s and 1 O405G then 1 E50. Yet in the evening, mostly high capacity.

We have SLs that anyhow jam brakes and flooring accelerator. This makes standing very uncomfortable during long rides.

if i had to stand, i would prefer to stand inside the train car instead of standing inside the bus.if there are seats on the bus, go for it, beats standing in train anytime. a seat on any trains is like hitting a jackpot.

Like come on, ppl take buses because there's seats.
I don't mind skipping 1-2 969 buses if I need to sit. Similarly, I don't mind walking down 1-2 bus stops just to get more seats. Your journey can be long. After a long tiring day, who wish to stand?
180 need DD, Rode on A24 on 180 during peak hour at 6pm, From Lakeside MRT to BPJ, pax is full to the door with minimal alighting throughout the whole route, almost all the pax alighted at BPJ and the bus went empty towards BNL. Useful to give split DDs though. Can be like 972 case, uni-directional peak loading

to some extent 969 is overdeployed especially in the evening. SMRT shouldn't waste resources for people who refuse to stand. waste of time and space.
I don't understand what is the issue with standing. People have been standing on buses in Singapore for a very long time, and then suddenly bus companies have to provide for pampered, lazy, self entitled people?
If people in the past can board and stand right at the front next to the radiator on an Olympian, or right next to the engine on a front engined bus, both of which are non-airconditioned, why can't people nowadays stand in the aisle of a low floor bus? Its not like there has been a massive and simultaneous genetic mutation that renders humans incapable of standing.
So suddenly, people are complaining that a certain bus company is buying too many SDs, when the real issue is people refusing to stand. And who is going to pay for any upsizing of buses? Nobody, because people complain about fare hikes. Don't expect LTA to stop buying SDs, because under the GCM, they will be the one bearing the costs, and I would expect them to cut down on unnecessary usage or overcapacity using whatever data they may obtain.

When I was a schoolkid, the conductor would slam his fist/clipboard/etc against the bodywork as hard as he could and yell at passengers to move in. That is no longer acceptable in Singapore (except at Woodlands/JB checkpoints).
We might get to see that again in half a years' time. This might just solve the problem.

By all means, even if SMRT did not fleet add, the passengers are gonna wait for the next buses or so. Like it or not, it's liddat.

Are you gonna lecture people for not boarding? Well, usually when the queue stops boarding, those outside the queues will start to board. Eventually, the buses departed is also somewhat full.
*It's not to a pathetic state where the bus left Tamp int with 40 pax(all seated, no standees)
