Isn't that common sense that 103 will reach faster than 117, given that 117 will have to ply all of Yishun Ave 1 and Khatib MRT to get to Yishun MRT.
If your point is which connects NSL MRT faster then 117 and 103 maybe similar or 117 could connect Khatib marginally faster.

Hi mr SBS2652G, the starting point mr shellstation mentioned is jalan Kayu. So you should put 103 (slow, limited seating). Not (fast, limited seating). The journey Sbs 103 takes is at least 27 min from Jalan Kayu to yishun. Sbs 39 and SMRT 858 takes 15 min. Take note start from Jalan Kayu. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr busanalyser, no. Not common sense. About same timing. See where is starting point. If start seletar aerospace Dr (after baker st), about same. 117 has seletar west link (3.5km non-stop) to contend with but Sbs 103 has west camp rd (with many stops) to contend with.
By the way Sbs 103 does not go to khatib mrt. It is a bit winding too, Cheers. Thanks.

do note that off peak 103 does not really stop at west camp, just run through. Cheers

Yes 117 is express along Seletar West Link but it's super super slow...

Hi mr SBS2652G, I took Sbs 117 yesterday morning. It was 19 min for the trip from seletar aerospace drive (before west camp rd) to the bus stop nearest yishun mrt and 19.5 min on the return trip. So I will say it is about equal with Sbs 103. Anyway hope this is just the starting and with months to go, once loading increases, I believe the bus captains will drive much faster to compensate back. I welcome your thoughts here! For me, distance wise, Sbs 85 will be a better choice than 117. Cheers. Thanks.
