I think so... Some of the TS8 buses are double-deckers. RWS8 will need some DDs as splits, very crazy crowd queuing to take RWS8 during peak...
927 doesn't need any DDs for now, the demand still manageable with the current fleet including crossovers. 138's demand has grown ever since River Safari opened. Not forgetting that there are always poor souls along mandai rd(crematorium) that can't board, as well as the bus stop near 3M and Fairprice along Upp Thomson... And lastly the increased demand for 138 at Amk Ave 5. Not a surprise for me to know that 138 is getting DD but this makes me wonder if 138A would be withdrawn with the introduction of DDs into 138.

RWS8 no nid DDs. Just nid bendys. Plus who will go to the upper deck for a 5 min ride? Liddat the monorail nid to couple more trains since got seperate snake queues for the monorail also. TS8 doubledeckers are lesser than 4.5M. If only SBST purchase 3.8M dds and deploy them on Airport bound svcs it shouldnt be a problem entering the basements.

Also with the new surcharge of $3 for cabs soon coming out of Singapore Zoo ppl might resort to taking the bus to save money. The crowd heading to to mandai for qing ming festival also cause mandai rd to be congested if 138 can get DDs pax wont kpkb much. As for 138A it wouldnt be removed. However some bcs find it hard to u-turn at singapore zoo so they have to u-turn slowly

The roads in the RWS underground carpark are too narrow for bendies to go through. But I wouldn't support having any high-capacity buses for this service either. There are alternative travel modes to go into RWS from HarbourFront MRT.

compared to 138, 138 on average demand is higher.
SMRT shud make 926 run on weekdays at 30min freq while 15min freq on weekends/PH to relieve demand on 927
