O my at around 6:30AM, spotted 3 903 + 1 903P buses bunching at Blk803 stops toward Woodlands which first coming 1 903 bendy bus with full load before 903P and after 903P comes 2 903 bendy with just less passenger load on board.

same thing will happen to 307 also...during AM peak will freq see buses in this sequence: 307 >> 307E >> 307P >> 307 together.... normally the first 2 will be packed, while the last 307 and the 307P will be empty..
BTW, SMB3038H took 307AP90 today...

I think by now most people should be aware of it. LTA has done lot of public image building by advertising PPSS. Also at interchanges/bus-stops you have PPSS bus details. Moreover at some places, you have ground staff forcing u to enter PPSS bus even if you don't want to.
PPSS has been introduced for a year now, so I don't think it is much of an awareness problem given these are feeder services. for ex: If you are living at Chai Chee, you will inevitably see a 222P everyday when you head out. Same for 268P, 240P, 291P etc. As there are not so many buses plying inner roads for ppl to miss out on the P variant.
Just that PTO service frequency is not bad for feeders and ppl don't mind waiting for a 291 DD rather than taking the PPSS variant.

Awareness is still a concern.
LTA should distribute flyers to each households along the route instead. Today, 903P + 903 came together @ Block803(PA9998S & TIB522T). Out of 10 pax, only 1+me went to board 903P. The rest all go for 903.
However, I'm not sure if all of them could board as TIB522T was packed to door when it arrive at the stop.

Having advertisement and notices sometimes is still not enough. Been a regular commuter of 291 and 293 I still see people asking whether 291P/293P runs on the same route as 291/293 and whether does it charge the same fares. The most common question I heard is "Does the bus go to Tampines Int?", despite the bus already having a desto stating "Tampines Int" and the route details pasted at every bus stop.

And the MP should go to door to door visit about 903P, during the first day of operation the MP has distribute flyers at Woodlands Bus Interchanges. As for today, not much bunching, as 903P + 1 903 bendy came together @Blk803. Out of 12pax, as only 1 + me went to board 903P and the rest goes to the back to take 903.

I agree that awareness could still be a problem BUT it is also reluctance on part of commuters to board the P variant (even those who are aware). I mean for someone taking the bus on daily or weekly basis, wouldn't he/she know where 903P would ply? If they are concerned about additional fees, would someone not ask and clarify?

Lol... if ppl ask such strange questions... have serious concerns about their IQ and literacy levels.. sorry #justsaying.

Again.. this is case of reluctance that ppl want to board the PTO bus... who would not know that 903P will go to WRI.. ofcourse and I sincerely hope ppl have that much common sense.
I have seen this even on 268P. People just refuse to board the bus. 4-6 pax board at AMK. After 2-3 mins you have sv 76 come, you will see 30-40 pax board the bus. 268P has been in operation for very long time now.

Hi mr SMB42P, can you tell us if you hear anything about the routes? Cheers!

How many more left? I think they are doing this for sv 67/960...

Apparently there is also going to be 300G and 300W (SBST kind of operation??)
301 will serve the new Ave 6. 983 will also go there and i heard it will go into CCK RD and loop at bukit panjang (like how 180 is doing now)

The one at the busstop that hinders the height is still unknown if that was trimmed as well... But the one aft the orange temp busstop was done nicely...
Upcoming CCK svc needs more BSEP SDs, in order to do so, I suspect the BSEP A22s from 67/854/855/857/960 will get upgraded to DDs... The new CCK svcs would probably start with the opening of Yis Int if SMRT wants to deploy DDs on YIS svcs in exchange...

Hi mr SMB42P, thanks for the info. Do you have any news for the new Punggol bus service to be launched in Q1 2015? I am very anxious to know its routing and the roads selected to ply. Cheers.
6522Y & 6523U are both for Sv 359. Haven't seen them cameo on anywhere else except on Sv 359 this past week. Both S-shift adds based on my spottings.
And IIRC, they either converted / moved 6305H to an A/P slot. I see that bus even at noon nowadays. 6305H came in back then as a peak-hour-only add though IIRC.
(thanks user 'SBS1929R' for editing Wiki too
. They removed jumpbus for Sv 359 uh?)

I just passed by that area today (16 Jan), and I could see some trimming being done near both the original bus stop and the temporary bus stop. If possible I will upload some photos later.
903P is surviving so far so good~~ if only they installed bus stopping bell to speed up the journey..otherwise very jialat.
Many Private operators failed to install bus stopping bell on their buses as the coach isn't designed to have that. This is one area where LTA didn't look into to improve it. Haven't checkout SMRT's BusPlus 285P and 265P..but hopefully they have bus stopping bell installed since their old Toyota have them..

It's more for those housewives who don't travel on bus that much, or those who are older and couldn't understand basic English/don't bother reading the signs and stuffs as their routine is to just probably board the same feeder service to the market/int and back to their house since they have already done that for years.
One thing I would say, old habits die hard.

67 & 960 for SMRT.

If 983 is really meant to be a CCK - Bt Panjang service, it might end up be a similar service to the defunct Tibs service 179 (CCK - Fajar Road) which was withdrawn during the Bt Panjang LRT rationalisation.
This one might be winding through CCK first before looping around BPJ
