Hi mr carbikebus, 100% agree. Cheers.

And IIRC, they either converted / moved 6305H to an A/P slot. I see that bus even at noon nowadays. 6305H came in back then as a peak-hour-only add though IIRC.
(thanks user 'SBS1929R' for editing Wiki too
. They removed jumpbus for Sv 359 uh?)
Hi 9631,
Checked with my buddy he said no more jumpbus already.
Cheers

If i remember correctly, the earliest the Edgedale Plains (end) flats will open is Q2/Q3 2016. So there is still a year and half for people to start living there.
During that time, you never know there might be a connecting road constructed between Edgefield plains and Edgedale plains. I believe in future sv 386 will be extended to cater to Edgedale plain residents as well.
Originally posted by SBS3688Y:i think the roundabouts at Edgefield & Edgedale Plains will be permanent. the roundabouts road level are much higher than the road behind; which is now a service road for construction vehicles. Then we might have something like 386A/B

According to the URA's Master Plan 2014, the service road will eventually become the Punggol Semi-Expressway.

Hi mr SBS3688Y, should be another feeder service for edgedale plains end. Till the days that the Punggol semi expressway is up in Yr 2018, nothing is conclusive. As the road is higher, I will like to see how they link it to the semi-expressway later on. Cheers.

That's a bit strange. Would have been good if it were linked up. This means, there will be a feeder for each of the roads. 386 for Edgefield via Central, 387 for Edgedale via Punggol Dr and may be 388 for Punggol East via Punggol Central as well.
* Not smart planning!

Hi mr SBS3688Y, yes finally somebody agrees with me on this. I have mentioned the same thing to a certain extent a few months ago but mr busanalyser doubted my words and told me otherwise. (No disrespect to mr busanalyser and no intention to start any quarrels). I was on the opinion that sbs 386 will not be able to go to edgedale plains at that time.
Till today, I strongly believe that the only exit is Punggol drive. At most, a new bus service will go to edgedale plains end and come out and exit to Punggol east and loop back to interchange vs Punggol central. There will definitely be new bus services from Punggol interchange plying the semi expressway and link to pasir ris and yishun towns which is the objective of semi expressway.
However, I still hope for miracles that they can link up the 2 roundabouts (edgedale and edgefield plains) on higher roads to the semi expressway. Cheers.

Are there any articles/blueprints/map of the semi-expressway? If allowed and possible, can I take a look at them?

URA's Master Plan 2014 map is available on OneMap.sg for viewing.

But lets not be too over-confident about this, as they can always have connections to the semi-expressway... and the fact that the road is higher... there can be a flyover to connect to semi-expressway... this way again edgefield and edgedale might get connected in future.
I find it hard to believe that they will not connect these two roads to expressway and expect everyone to connect via Punggol road... Let's see... there is still lot of time..
Also as I previously mentioned, not before Q2/Q3 2016 will the edgedale plains BTOs come in operation. So we are discussing this way before time.

Anyway, thanks for the person who give me the link to the URA map.
From what I see from the map, these roads are connected to a planned road north of the semi-expressway. Maybe that road might play a role....

Hi mr busanalyser, ideally and realistic speaking, the roads should be linked. For any town planner point of view, the roads should not be left the way it is now. Maybe not year 2016. Most probably by end of yr 2018 or even 2019, all the linkages should be up. Till then, good luck to all those residents who shall live inside with no cars of their own. They only have Punggol drive to exit out of the places. Cheers.

And the areas near the 4 unopened LRT stns will have lots of highrise buildings.
That section of the road looks more like the Jln Toa Payoh/PIE style of road to me.
Anyway, those links are quite odd to be honest. They also do not really look finalised.
Punggol Central link: Straight road to eventually link to Pasir Ris Dr3/12 junction.
Semi-expressway:Yishun side is that the road goes to the two Punggol Islands, then connect to Yishun Ave 8 (parrallel to Yishun Dam, then straight to Simpang Park Connector (means current Yishun Ave 8 is different)) then ends at Admiralty Rd East/Sembawang Rd junction (converted to flyover). As for Pasir Ris end...... it ends at Pasir Ris Park (wtf)

Hi mr SBS3688Y, the link from Punggol central to TPE and KPE vs lor halus is old news. This is necessary due to the severe jams. It will be ready in Yr 2018. Thanks. Cheers.

Upcoming CCK svc needs more BSEP SDs, in order to do so, I suspect the BSEP A22s from 67/854/855/857/960 will get upgraded to DDs... The new CCK svcs would probably start with the opening of Yis Int if SMRT wants to deploy DDs on YIS svcs in exchange...
that tree at bukit timah road beside the bus stop is not trim at all till now... apparently, they decided not to trim/chop that tree at all. instead, they extend the kerb/pavement outwards by around 10-15 cm at least... around 50m of that section of the pavement near that bus stop are extend outward onto the road... so the DD can avoid that particular tree... so 960/67 are clear for DD to be deploy right now.. most likely those 960/67 drivers will be given instruction to not to drive near the kerb area near that bus stop...

yep i saw the same thing too, was thinking if that was the intention as well. and the bus stop seemed to have shifted further down the road away from the tree so that DDs can avoid that tree.

I see... Great news & thanks for the update, but wouldn't that squeeze both lanes together even closer along the amended section especially when that stretch to KK often jam?

Good decision by LTA. They also saved a tree.

I have seen this even on 268P. People just refuse to board the bus. 4-6 pax board at AMK. After 2-3 mins you have sv 76 come, you will see 30-40 pax board the bus. 268P has been in operation for very long time now.
Probably because there is no EDS. But it is more likely because there is no SBST/SMRT livery on the PPSS buses.
In the part of the statement in italics, it could mean that people won't board a SBST Volvo B10M or Batch 1/2 VO3X or B10BLE CNG..
