In the part of the statement in italics, it could mean that people won't board a SBST Volvo B10M or Batch 1/2 VO3X or B10BLE CNG..
I beg to differ sometimes. This is PC7799C on 903P taking up a full load despite the bus not being configured for standees.

All, sbs 386 will be extended from current edgefield plains to Punggol east with effect from 15 feb 2015. Cheers and good luck.

BSEP changes from 15th February 2015:
- Feeder 386 will be extended from Edgefield Plains to ply Punggol Drive, Punggol Field and looping at Punggol East.
- Feeder 301 and Service 983 will be introduced to ply between Choa Chu Kang and Keat Hong Close (road extended from Choa Chu Kang Ave 5); Feeder 301 using Choa Chu Kang Ave 3 while Service 983 using Choa Chu Kang Ave 4. (Note: LTA Facebook page has mentioned that there are intentions for future extensions of Service 983 to Bukit Panjang and complementing the Downtown Line Stage 2.
- Express 982E will be extended to start and end at bus stops along Keat Hong Close.
- With the introduction of Feeder 301, Feeder 300 will be converted back into a G/W plate service (first in SMRT!), plying mainly Choa Chu Kang Ave 4, Choa Chu Kang Ave 1, Choa Chu Kang Ave 2 and Choa Chu Kang Way; it will skip one portion of Choa Chu Kang Ave 3 and Choa Chu Kang Ave 5.
Review of services introduced under BSEP for SMRT:
803 - rating:good; doing okay, will gain more momentum once occupancy levels along ave 6 and st 31 increases
860 - rating: excellent; loading very high to and from Khatib during peak hours; also provides relief to 804/806 along ring road towards Yishun. Need high capacity buses and loading will continue to increase given the high number of HDBs up for development and occupancy in the region.
904 - rating:good; loading average, can expect to increase once HDBs along the route are complete and occupancy levels increase.
972 - rating: excellent; loading very high towards/from CBD during AM/PM respectively; provides as good alternative to 922 to BPJ. Once DTL2 is up, loading towards BPJ will increase; loading will continue to increase given new condos/HDBs will have occupancy increase in coming months around Fajar/Senja/Segar
990 - rating: poor to average; route is quite unique but from what I read and see, route hasn't got much traction yet. Route could have been planned longer to start from CCK via Gombak or BPK via Hillview. This would have helped relieve load on other services. Also opposite direction to 189 around BBT Industrial does not help with relieving load on 189.
990 overall is poor while 803 is average.

I was being generous to 990 and 803 :)

903P have been doing better now..but it still depends on situation sometimes.
I have seen 1 903P + 3 903 bendy bunch up towards WRI..and 3 out of 4 buses were packed to the door. Can see clearly that the frequency were affected by jams etc.
At the same time, afaik, some passengers at Block803 stops will "avoid" 903P due to the lack of awareness, and they go for 903 behind. In the end, they couldn't board 903 and have to wait for the next bus...

Think 903P is one of the best performing PPSS. IMO 268 is the worst.
120's load has improved significantly as compared to when it was introduced. Buses are now packed to the door from Alexandra Road to Redhill Mrt during peak hours. But loading in Telok Blangah area remains low as most pax who board 120 at Telok Blangah alight at Telok Blangah Mrt Station. Still 120 no longer a "white elephant" route liao I guess.

903P really a good one, everytime full load with back 903... On Fri, saw 3x 903 bendies bunched up turning into WRI in the evening with 1st low, 2nd medium & 3rd full loadings...
If SMRT wanna use DDs for their mid haul feeders/Intratowns then the A95 orders should be expedite..Jam prone WRI feeders/Intratowns svc can use DDs if they want.811,812,945 can use a few..The 201 units of E500s is not enough even for their trunks.

I can see that cbb bro is having a change of heart and now discussing DDs for feeders/intra-towns :))

Finally Sv 358 gets BSEP adds. E-tt change WEF 16 Feb (Mon, yesterday)
Should be two buses this round, and both should be on full-day slots. Because average freq for Off-peak used to be 10min+ onwards. Now longest freq for Off-peak is less than 10 mins.
I guess someone finally realised that mini-buses for 358P didn't work as well as they thought. ![]()

This was expected. Also BSEP has lot of spare buses for SBST territory to give unlike SMRT territory.
And yeah the P services, 9/10 have not helped solve any issue. Only where PTO is not managing its service well like 903, 912, the P services are doing okay.
yesterday 854 have one SMB3417??
SBS Transit bus operations are still losing money, so the profits mainly come from commercial advertisements.

Probably fleet upgrades..Theyre the biggest bus operator here of course they will feel the pinch..But again another reason for fare hike..
I foresee the first and second package might goes to the new player..I predict SBST will lose a few of its territory..SMRT will lose one vital territory too.
