Why doesn't bus arrival apps tell if the next bus is a single/double decker?

That's just information that is too redundant, considering how hard it is for the bus operator to ensure the reliability of the info eg. Emergency pullovers, buses taking over each other etc.

It would be nice to have this information... but people should know that it would not be 100% reliable.. and there can be e-pull or DD-->SD downgrade (other way round don't think ppl will mind much). So if people will not complain for 90% accuracy, then it will be good info.

If not reliable, there will be another Taxi-Taxi scenerio again. But if can code in passenger counter, then people can roughly gauge if the bus is a rigid or bendy/DD

But what about routes that don't even use DDs/bendies?

How about this?
Last month, SBS3745R was e-pulled to 151 from 74 due to a traffic jam. The bus that covered SBS3745R's slot was a Citaro, and it was packed like crazy due to the downgrade...
I wonder when service 164 will be announced... Next week? 2 weeks later?

wen loyang depot open?
All, a pair of new bus stops spotted outside Blk 217d Punggol way. Looks like sbs 43/43M/119 will have an additional bus stop very soon. Cheers.
During the morning peak hours at Buangkok Green:
6.45 a.m. A random KUB on 43 will appear a few minutes before SBS3434M or SBS3435K on 43M which is often almost empty.
6:55 a.m. No service 43M bus arrives at the same time as SBS3003Z, which is sometimes fully packed to the door.
7.05 a.m. Here comes the chaotic part. SBS6500K on 43M arrives a few minutes before SBS3105M, and SBS6500K ends up packed like sardines while SBS3105M is often only half seated.
The E-TT change on 23-03-2015, if you look carefully, actually adds a slot, which will create more problems with bunching.
Don't say SBST anyhow put DDs unnecessarily, the DDs on 119 are under LTA...
SBS Transit should buy more MAN NL323F, not SMRT, as it already has so many extra buses. SMRT already has 232 MAN NL323F Batch 3.

Not so soon. They're only halfway into building some multi-storey covered building with another half-exposed shelter-like structure beside it..
