Hougang will be hugely developed in the future.. In the meantime it's just a current expansion just like SK int but will be linked together. If im not wrong the new ITH would only be ready by 2020? Then a mega mall would be built ontop of the ITH.
CCK INT already revamped up nicely, getting ready for 301 and 983 launch tmr.
1) Each berth now has their own bus arrival tv (though not accurate)
2) A total of 3 electronic bus route panel (similar to the ones at BBI), though one not working..
3) Repaint of the bus number plates at each berth from red, green, yellow to red, blue, green. A few were covered up by paper (not sure if there will be changes to berth boarding for some services) like 925, 985, 172 and 300.
4) Booths set up at the concourse area (outside POSB ATM area)
5) VIP board near the WAB boarding area

Hi mr SMB145B, you need inform Mr wsy1234. He is the one who starts to bring politics here. For me, if you look at my previous posts, I always don't advocate politics here. Haha. Cheers. Thanks.
Enviros on 983 o.o
Unexpected

I would not support this. If you see the whole UEC road area.. it mostly has landed houses with few condos/HDBs. Most services including 10, 14 that have DDs go quite empty in this patch. Even 13/43 do not pick up load until they hit Marine Parade.
Hence, to me extending these services will be adding more buses to this road with no real benefit and poor loading.
Has there been an announcement on HG, PGL and UEC terminal/interchange upgrades like there was one for Tampines/Sengkang? Or is this all speculation.
Mr Bus analyser. It was reported in the straits times
Can someone post the press release, please!?
Around 9am..
983 man fully seated plus some standee.
300 bendy fully seated.
983 really ease the crowd for 300.
Not sure bout 301.

Basically I was thinking these 3 services (55, 135, 155) can have a terminal instead of being long looping services... Although I agree there will not be much demand. But if Bayshore area really get developed then it may be good to have more services there

Actually... its quite a quick fix... just convert Siglap to roadside terminal and house 55, 135, 155. Extend 76 to Siglap terminal and introduce 36M from there. Enough services to warrant roadside terminal.
Service 43/M DDs during off peak every day useless. SBS3431X with an almost empty upper deck at 11am today, headed towards Punggol. Go to NEX at 1.55 pm on weekdays and catch the DDs on 43/M towards Punggol. They are usually empty. Even worse on weekends, when DDs if downgraded to a Citaro or even a Euro IV KUB, there would still be no or hardly any standees.

when was the 3rd one deployed? As of 4pm still 4 buses, 2 MANs and 2 DDs..
983's demand was alot better than 301's demand from observations today...at least 983's DDs (both 3509R and 3580H) was fully seated with standees while the most i saw on 301 was a fully seated MAN (3118K) and i even saw a MAN with only one pax at 3pm (3081G)
But then, first day only..plus not accurate due to many bus spotters onboard :)
301 distance 4.5km, 983 distance 4.6kn..both having run time about 22-25 mins, 2-3 back to back trips then one rest....301 seem able to keep up with schedule but 983 is constantly behind schedule..

IMO, 983 will have higher loading than 301... as it gets faster to ave 5 than 301.. .also complements 300 on the high loading sector of ave 4... 301 on the other hand passes ave 2, ave 1, ave 3 then to ave 5... though just few minutes extra runtime, i think people will prefer 983 to 301. Hence, I foresee DDs on 983 to get well utilized.
Mr Busanalyzer is so happy to see short svc using DDs

Not sure when, but could be epull or something.
Not only bus spotters, but also regular commuters or those curious one. Hopefully the situation would be smooth, where all pax will move up.
Anyway, forgot to mention here...
301 >> ONP CCK INT
983 >> Bulim Depot
Already caused heavy jam at CCK INT during both AM and PM peak.
301 is Kjdep judging by the way the refuel, bus wash and ONP at CCK,Only 983 park at Budep.
