Minimal chance at BBDEP since numbering system 160 - 169 most of them reside or coincide around the North-East area. BBDEP doesn't count as it controls 160 but isn't a terminal point for 160...
Lots of speculation and rumors:
102 - HG <> SAP, via Sengkang West
164 - PGL <> TAM
164 - PGL <> Thomson road, via Sengkang West
49 - Extension to Jurong East (have been hearing this for more than a year now)

Does the numbering really matter today? I don't think so. 41, 49 could have actually been 20x series rather than using the UEC/East coast numbers.
To me: 164 should be Sengkang West trunk service to complement 50, 163...

Hmm... If 117, going to SBW will be very weird as numbering system has no link to the North. I believe 117 will be somewhere Central-South area just like 111/112/113/115/116/119...
Taking 160/161/168 which goes to Woodlands area, 167 from SBW and 169 passby SBW as examples, 164 is a high-chance candidate.
Originally posted by array88:8 services for 12 towns - confirmed there will be long trunks (at least 4 inter-town services).
One issue is that: if a service passes by several towns along its route, is it counted as a new service for these towns? If I'm not wrong, 201 passed by Clementi but was only considered as a West Coast service. 50 passed by Sengkang and Ang Mo Kio but was not considered as a new service for these two towns.
My guess:
102: Hougang - Sengkang - SAP
164: Punggol - Tampines (may extend to CBP)
49 extension to Jurong East (or new feeder)
New service for Taman Jurong (or Joo Koon to Jurong West)
New feeder for Bedok South (or Bedok North St 2)
New service: Eunos - Haig Rd - Marine Parade
983 extension to Bukit Panjang (I hope it's also extended to Yew Tee, or I won't see it as a new service for CCK)
New service: Sembawang - Yishun (may extend to SAP)
Hi mr array88, don't worry. Will sure pick up pace and introduce the 8 services fast. Now only 41. Need reach 80 which is the initial target by end 2017. I expect this 8 to introduce by end 2015. Let's wait and see. Cheers.

Numbering does matter. If not, the recent BSEP numberings would have been a real mess instead. 41 & 49 i believe is to get close to 51 around the vacinity since 50-59 already used up.
Express 506 could be renumbered to 46 in future, while Express 506 can be re-routed as a fast-link to City once it hits PIE > Bendemeer > Selegie > Bras Basah > Bencoolen > Penang > Somerset > Orchard(Loop) > Selegie > Bendemeer > PIE > Bt Batok (Normal route)...
To add on to the speculations, I guess 99 may be extended from Jurong West Street 91 to terminate at Boon Lay Bus Interchange.
The length of 99 from Clementi Bus Interchange to the bus stop opposite JYSS is 13.1km.
We can extend it by around 2km to Boon Lay Bus Interchange, if we want to make it a "short trunk" (limit is 15.5km).

Not happening. 506's main purpose is to connect the three points: in the west (JE, BBT), central-south (TPY) and East (Bedok) under a single service without going to the CBD. Alternative services to the CBD already exist, such as 23, 502, 868 etc. Bt Batok - Bendemeer also served by 985.

actually i think 506 should extend back to air port like it use to be. because of mrt that why it shorten to bedok. i think it stupid for LTA to do that.

All, training bus is spotted at Punggol central, Punggol east towards sengkang east drive today at 2.30pm. Cheers.
Who knows the Sengkang service could be the Sengkang West - city bus service that I had proposed to the Sengkang West MP on 11 July this year?
I think 7 will be from SBST and only 1 from SMRT for the new service

Should it based on allocating bus services to the different estates, 5 may be under SBST while 3 under SMRT...
Originally posted by Sbs6750E:Doesn’t mean you spot training bus got new service already. Right?
Hi mr sbs6750E, I spotted many times already. This time I saw it drive out of Punggol east towards Sengkang East drive show that it has super high chances to be a trunk service. Please, please, please, let it be true this time round. Cheers.

Well speculation says Punggol-Sembawang meaning its definately from SBST.
J West/East might be 49 or a new short trunk from J East of new JIS from Joo Koon to J West extension.
Hougang,Bedok,Marine Parade,Sengkang all under SBST
Only left Yishun and Bt Panjang which i highly suspected its the shortened of 171 which either starts from Bt Panjang ends at Yishun or the other way round.
