Anybody are willing to Suggests Service 971 to applying from Bukit Panjang - Shenton Way as a Full Day Services?

Legit
As long as there is full DD during the mentioned timings.
must pay more huh ?

Horrendous crowd and route fixture as reasons.
Any opposition would be regarded with utmost surprise.
But Sv 2 loading has dropped majorly between bugis and Chinatown now. Loading v high between Upper Changi and Bedok in both directions. May be time to bring back 2A with only DDs.

Punggol service should be covering Punggol west.
Hougang service might cover Upper Serangoon view, Buangkok dr.

Fully seated + standees with DDs during evening peak and fri/sat nights.
As I have said before, route fixture. Asking the ppl to have to stand on 2 can be traumatic.

What do u mean by route fixture
Didnt noe that SBS also need to care about pax's psychological experience. Like this every service needs DDs ~

Svc 2 is this service that stops at many stops, and passing by many traffic lights, with a low turnover rate (aka. Many pax do take 2 for long/medium haul). This makes it a service that deserves full DDs as SDs can be almost packed to door during peak and pub nights.
It is purely unreasonable to make ppl wait for a 13 min SD and having to cram all the way from Chinatown to Changi. It is also a bit dangerous too.

Please stop showing off your ignorance.
It is no longer about mere psychological experience. It all points to the service standards that SBST provides.
And obviously not every svc will need DDs becoz of that. Such as your 191 which has painfully low ridership
Originally posted by carbikebus:Haha..Like that Sg will become like HK..90% DDs..Svc that truly deserve majority or full DDs is svc that almost every hours packed or fully seated..if not just let as it be..74 can be horrible during school/peak hours but after that loadings can be pathetic.Thats why till today we still see 6-7 SDs in the fleets..30 is the one deserve full DDs…cause from Keppel all the way to east no other svc parallel with it..
Remember that HK does not only has 12m DDs.
Singapore is too rigid and conservative to even try that haha
Do read my comment again. I clearly said S shift and after 8 for fri and sat. Not asking for too much I believe?
Liddat 284 also can get DDs ~ The jam at clementi very jialat ppl need stand for 1-2 stops ~

Possible new route?

74 has 10+ SDs which is a lot. Especially irritating when they ply SDs from HG to BNV in am. Other way round still okay though loading can b pretty high bet Dover and Clementi rd and AMK and HG ave 8.
30 needs full fleet DDs. I had mentioned that before but you did not agree with me saying Sv 30 is doing well. Also called that aunty some names. Sv 30 is a long route that gets 70+ pax in many sections of its route deepening on timing + has many long distance travelers.

Not opposing the idea for more DDs on Sv 2 but I personally feel loading on Sv 2 has dropped and picks up only after Bugis these days.

Correct , SG is v conservative in new technology... Only talk n no action...
Look at HK, most HK airport vehicles are GREEN VEHICLES,HYBRID or Electric...
Hybrid buses on tests on roads...
SG talk only... Juz look at the new car categorisation, now the GERMAN government wants an answer to this rubbish test LTA IS ENFORCING, CLEARLY LTA HAS LOST ITS WAY ON HOW TO SOLVE THE COE problem...
Back to topic...
sv2 has parallel svc in sv51 till Eunos n 63,80 till Aljunied Rd...
There are passengers that go to Changi V from city but few as most tfr to bus at Tanah Merah... Most head to Geylang from NBR area... So capacity is ok even aft 8pm... I nt kidding you

Hybrid buses came very close to becoming a normal sight on the roads.
2 is like a service people along MRT lines take to MRT stations.

Hi mr moltenfalcon, anytime from this coming monday onwards, there should be announcements pretty soon. But pray do not go to jalan kayu, yio chu kang rd and ang mo kio ave 3, 6, 1, 8. This seems to copy a little bit of sbs 85, sbs 50, sbs 136. What we hope for is some surprise la. Give us something like orchard or st michael area which punggol does not have right now! If it goes orchard, i can assure you that it sure gets good loadings. Hope for the surprise that will shake up the whole of public transport in punggol. Hope la. Better dont be a feeder to those hougang/kovan/serangoon or i will faint. Let's hope quietly. Cheers.
